World Of Warcraft: Altered Time

Chapter 29 - The Undead are a problem Part 5 Banshee Queen no more?

Setting the Farstriders was not that difficult. What he explained to them only went over the plans for Eversong Woods and Ghostlands. Which had the largest Blood Elf population. He told them the best way for Silvermoon to get his ȧssistance was if they were willing to change and for a few Tomes and Artifacts.

Items that are tied to trouble later. With the Pegasus Riders accompanying the majority of them back. Valanna & Lethvalin staying with Azul to scope out Deatholme a little. The Lynx taking care of the rear as they moved.

Arriving at the gate that leads to the area, Azul was ȧssaulted by mental screams. The tears and cries of those killed in the area were one of the reasons he wanted to take the place down. Not to mention the power and the shit ton of quests inside and dealing with it.

The gate had three large skulls adorning it. The outer wall is more intact then most places in Azeroth. Large piles of dirt in a few places could allow one to scale the wall some. The iron bars raised up stuck in place.

"I can't resist." Azul felt his blood boiling. Bow still draw, as he kept firing at the undead in the area. The stress on his fingers and forearms starting to take his toll but needed all the same to but him through the paces. "You can stay if you like. No reason to risk yourselves."

Valanna & Lethvalin shook their heads following up behind him. More than willing to prove themselves further. The sound of Horseriders however caused them to stop at the entrance. Right at the iron bars.

"HALT!" A voice boomed out. The Lynxes did not attack the riders. They were friendly by the looks of it mostly. IT IS TO DANGEROUS!" The only reason he ended up doing so was because of the collective name they shared.

"Members of the Dawnstar family, well this ought to be good." Azul moved from the gate. Only giving a slight glance at it over his shoulder. The Fel energy even leaking out was dangerous. "Soon, soon I will deal with you and the traitors within."

Those who heard understood well enough.

Raelis Dawnstar Fyra Dawnstar, Marsilla Dawnstar, Blood Knight Dawnstar, and Arcanist Calesthris Dawnstar. With the previous Rangers who were escorted out of the territory.

*Thunk!* They dropped to a knee one by one. Kicking up the soil a bit. Azul's annoyance switches to just surprise. Before they said anything he pulled of a few screens looking it over. One stood out to him on the Reputation screen.

(Reputation Blood Elves: Exalted)

(Reputation Silvermoon: Honored)

(Reputation Ghostlands: Neutral)

'I really haven't paid attention to the Reputation since I had no reason myself. Trade and purchasing are handled by a few others. Wasn't much to get their I suppose. But all the work we are doing makes sense.' Azul dismissed the screens with a thought. "Do rise up. The soil has not been purified here yet."

They rose and stared at him. As if he knew what the hell was going on.

"So.. what do you want?" Azul raised his hands encouraging them to speak freely. "I am a little busy."

"The weapon Thas'dorah, "Valor of the Forest" in the old tongue." Raelis Dawnstar, a Blacksmith handed over an old-looking bow. The moment Azul touched it, it restored fully. "defintely who they say you are."

"So.. I know a little about this bow." Azul's personal memory regarding the bow was shoddy at best. But he knew the technical lore. "Made from a branch of the tree.. whatchamacallit. The umm Thas'alah "Light of the Forest" in the old tongue. The Mother Tree that once stood around these parts."

*Shine!* The bow lit up then disappeared. On his wrists, a green glow shined through the armor. Removing it showed vines growing along to his shoulders.

(Legendary Quest Started: Ranger Generals of the Past. Chain Quest. Will unfold as progress is made. Enter the lands of Deatholme part 1. Rewards: Experience 2,000, Ability to appoint Ranger General to a city. Additional Ranger Generals can be appointed per Elven City.) .

The knowledge of the bow continued to flow through him. Causing his eyes to glow a bright green with Nature Magic before settling.

(Thas'alah: Locked. Those who have touched the Legendary Bow, have instilled a bit of their soul within. The bow is powered by the will of the Elves. Can only be wielded in areas where the user is Exalted. Those deceased can be summoned from the Afterlife. Those living can be called to your side to aid in battle. Summons Available 0.)

"Ok, let's head to the camp. Deatholme will have to wait a little longer." Azul said. The moment he stepped into the place, the next quest would start. It did not sound good at all to go in yet. "The ȧssault on Deatholme will be the next thing I will do after preparing."

"How long will it take?" Veynna Dawnstar, the armor seller said. Seeing his raised finger of one, she was happy. "One year. Not bad at all."

"One week." Azul answered. I have a very bad feeling letting it sit this long, just a really bad one at that." Walking away back to the nearest Outpost, he had to ask. "Surely you all do not want to risk your lives fighting against the Undead, right?"

"We want a change mostly." Calesthris spoke up. "To much politics and stalling. So much work has taken place under your command, the chance to get involved is to good to pass up."

"We wish to restore our people." Raelis spoke up. She gestured to the Blood Knight in the group. "Revan here was planning on ȧssaulting the place with a few others. Apprentice Varnis and Ranger Vedoran, friends of his that were convinced."

Revan looked away when his name was brought up and the plan to attack the place. He was going to get himself and his friends killed if they went. Also bringing shame to the Dawnstar family.

As they conversed, Azul was able to get information regarding the land a little. But mostly about how many have attacked Deatholme recently. By the sound of it, casualties were high. Which meant new undead inside the walls to fight. Fresh ones at that.

Wanting to gather some forces from the camp, he activates A Teleportation Spell moving the entire group with him in one go. Excusing himself and having them checked over for ailments and problems, such as Magical Addiction and Withdrawal issues.

"This.. is really warm." Arcanist Janeda muttered. The others were a little more reserved. But enjoying the magic that cleansed them. Seeing him move, her eyes followed the power radiating. 'Purer magic than Kael'thas, with more growing within. I must keep a watchful eye on him.'

A few of the Dawnstar members were to report back to Silvermoon on what happens. However, they would find that task more difficult as time passed. Already falling to the sway of the power of the Champion.

.

.

Azul moved about as a Lynx through the camp. Everyone already use to his form. Those from the Horde were unaware of who the cat was actually. But took note that it was someone important the way those in the camp acted.

Trouble was stirring as a scout ran over, making the return even more important. A young troll carrying a scroll in one hand and a bloody sword in the other caused the commotion.

The troll dashed towards Thrall's camp. Wanting to speak with the Warchief quickly. As he moved, more and more scouts flanked him offering protection.

All to prevent a possible ȧssassination against the messenger.

Azul's ears prickled a little as he heard the call of someone in his camp. The voice was raspy and low. If not for the quest popping up, he would have left it alone.

'Oh bother.' Walking through the crowds, he slipped in and out like smoke. A few of the Rogues detecting the change a little. Others not so much. 'If she dies. Gonna be really interesting.'

In Azul's tent, a very bloody Slyvanas was there. Looking worse for wear. A deep gash along her back and stomach looked the most damaging. Odd that it was not healing at all.

One or two fingers were missing from her left arm.

"Well... you look like shit." Azul spoke frankly to her. Slyvanas eyes snapped open but she didn't move. To be precise, she couldn't move. "Paralyzed to. The worse outcome for a person dressed like you."

"Filthy cat!" her eyes radiating in fury.

"Oh, not completely paralyzed. How nice." Azul's eyes perked up as he could see the magic inside work away at her. But the more it did, the more he could see her soul shrink. The closer to death or the more she went through terrible situations, the worst it was. "So that is how your magic works. How interesting."

The amusing of the cat drow her even more. Toes twitching as the Banshee Queens sheer Force of Will burned the poison up.

"Shut up and summon your master furball!" Slyvanas tried to force herself up but couldn't. Burning with magic, she moved just enough to sit up. "Dammit!" Shoulders plopped back down with the rest of her. "It is only a matter of time before they find me!"

"Hmm... maybe." Azul extended his tail and moved over her cuts and hand. "I can give you everything you lost back for a price."

"Do not toy with me cat!"

"Silly girl." His tail brushed her face once then smacked the opposite side. "I am more than you will ever be. Even as a cat." Licking his paw absently, Azul wanted to toy with her for some reason. The magic from the Bow flowing just a little more in her presence. Reacting to the Windrunner's 'What an odd situation.'

"Tch!" Slyvanas suċkėd a cold breath of air in. The blow hurt but not more than her pride. "They are close!" Her ears twitched as she heard the sound of Trolls moving in the camp. "That damn Azul could have at least put up a resistance against the search!"

"What good would that serve?" Azul ċȯċked his head to the side enjoying the situation. "Little False Dead thing, why help someone who is not with you? Because of kindness? Or something more?"

"Because he just should!" Slyvanas didn't know what else to say. Her mind was getting fuzzy and she was starting to blackout. The cold touch of darkness started to cloud her vision. "Just call him cat!"

"Don't want to." Azul raised his paw and licked it again. His claws extended a little. "I can help you, but you might not like it."

"Search their General's tent!" A troll voiced out. Azul's guards on the outside did however stop them. "What are you doing!? Get out of the way!"

"A Lieutenant is sleeping inside with a guest." The guard received a quest to help. Smiling, he played his part with joy. "Had some "fun" with a lass. Not gonna interrupted the afterglow."

Slyvanas eyes turned bloodshot. Azul almost rolled over laughing at the guard. Well, guards considering the next one added fuel to the fire.

"She was a bit of a screamer. The pipes on her I swear. A bit of a Shrieker." The guard said forcing a chuckle down. "Almost like a banshee."

"Pffttt!" Azul couldn't help it as he started laughing. It carried out of the tent and around the camp. "We are awake now! Give us a bit to get decent!"

"I am going to kill you! And them!" Slyvanas said through clenched teeth. Never had she felt so embarrassed. "Just help me already!"

"Of course... lass." Azul nudged her cheek and gave it a lick. Adorned in light, Slyvanas changed from an "Undead" to a Night Elf. As she went through the change, Azul turned into his Night elf form Sol. Only slight changes to his actual appearance. "Such a fussy thing you are."

"Don't embarrass the lass, don't want to make her angry."

"Where is this lass you talk about?"

"I ȧssure you, I am no lass!" Slyavanas was dressed in ranger gear. Fixing her undershirt after exposing her belly a little. The cut that was supposed to be there was gone. As well as her missing fingers restored. "You care to call me that again and I'll gut you in your sleep!"

"Hehe, sure."

"The Banshee Queen... you are supposed to be an Undead." The troll took a few steps back. "You look.. alive."

"I am alive. Treatment by.. this one here late at night did it. Too sore to leave the tent after."

"Pffttt!" One of the guards lost his cool at her phrasing as well as Azul. It took a moment for the others to catch on.

"Not like that you filthy degenerates!" Slyvanas howled. Her hair standing up on end a little. Some of the magic is still inside her. "I have to meet with my forces! I will talk to you later... Sol!" As far as she knew, he was just a Druid. 'I should have let that fool skin him back then!'

It was lost on her that if she did, well she would have been dead currently most likely. Well in a Horde internment camp for treachery.

"Of course." He turned around back into the tent. Separating in an instant from one another. "Good luck with that mess." Azul said to the Night Elf version of himself. "The Bow is still with me. Thought it would have moved over to you."

"Hehehe, so worth it." Sol laughed. "I think it will be fun. We need some enjoyment every now and then."

"I suppose." Azul shifted to his Warrior class. "I will come back later. Do behave a little."

"Why would I do that?" Sol smirked before heading back out of the tent. "I will play a little damage control. Maybe take her with to go an ȧssault Deatholme."

"Those Farstriders, Dawnblade, and.. some Soldiers will have to do." Azul answered. he was currently looking at what was available currently. Nothing really with the production of Sapphire City buildings going slowly. "I am attacking Deatholme in a few days. Both yourself and Azazel will have to push the Undead here."

"I see." Sol responded seriously. "Ghostlands and Eversong Woods, I will do a quick sweep to increase my strength. The Lynx Pride, I will take them with. Hopefully, we don't run into an issue."

Azul nodded. Focusing on helping the buildings accelerate for the next few hours before going out to join in pushing back the Undead.. After that, Deatholme.
