Chapter 75 Part 1:  Transmutation

「Keeeeeeeeek!」

I’ve thrust an arrow through the monster’s eyeball.

There were still a few things I needed to hear before I could take out my Noir properly.

“You’re more tenacious than I thought. You were supposed to be a tanker, not a ranger, look at that brute strength!”

“All those Novice Hunters that went missing here, was it all your doing?”

“What does it matter now? You can just go ahead, and die. We get the items, we get the money, then we can go back out, and trick another Hunter, and after two or three times, we’ll be able to make more money than the hunters at the gate!”

He was doing pretty well, it seems.

‘So I guess, what Baek Mok-Ryeon thought was just a false alarm, it seems that the hunter disappearances inside this dungeon weren’t related to the One-Eyed Cult, but It must have been the work of these low life criminals.”

Bang!

Noir finally blew out a shot.

“Th-That…”

“She must be making a last ditch effort, but for how long…”

Bang, bang, bang!

I fired a series of shots, sending ice cubes flying everywhere.

One of the sharp angles bounced off my cheek, but I barely dodged it.

“What kind of gun has that much power?”

I stared at them coldly.

‘The role-play was over.’

“That gun… No way.”

“You can’t be… the Han Seo-Ha of the Netherworld?”

(T/N: Uno Reverse here b—tches~)

I stared at them through the puddle of water created by the melted ice monsters.

I didn’t need to answer.

Noir with its exquisite appearance was my symbol.

“…Min Seo-Joon!”

“Yeah.”

They exchanged glances, unsure whether to flee or not, but in the end they all turned to face me, as if they were ready to fight.

Their team is composed of A solid tanker, a spear user, an assassin with a hanging wire and a fake mage with an item that could cast electricity.

‘The well-equipped party versus a solo hunter.’

If you think about it, I’d be at a disadvantage at a glance. But I had no intention of backing down.

After all, I had a plan.

‘My specialty is one-to-many, hand-to-hand combat.’

Snap.

There was a sound of a wire flying.

I already knew their battle pattern.

Min Seo-Joon would mark, Choi Pyeong-Hwa would wrap the wire, and either Kook Tae-Min or the fake Lee Eun-woo would finish.

Unfortunately for them…

“Uh, where did she go!”

‘I’m faster.’

“Behind!”

The fake Lee Eun-Woo noticed me first, but it’s too late.

Boom.

I landed on Kook Tae-Min’s shoulder.

“Huh!”

The sudden change in weight caused Kook Tae-min to stumble, and I leapt into the air once more.

“Again, form up!”

The formation completely collapsed after I dug into their midst.

Min Seo-Joon, who was supposed to mark me, was alone and unable to do anything.

‘It’s too late.’

The party split in half around me.

Such a split in a balanced party combination is extremely fatal.

‘Should I Kill him?’

A thought flashed through my mind as I landed behind Choi Pyeong-Hwa.

I pointed my gun at him.

‘These guys have killed a lot more people. So they deserve to die.’

The dead novice hunters can’t escape moral censure for hiring a dungeon carry, but these guys are far more to blame for using it to feed their greed.

‘No. It would be too wasteful if they all just die like this.’

They had to be imprisoned, forfeit their access to the Gate.

Wouldn’t they regret it bitterly if they live a life less than a hunter’s?

I turned the muzzle of my gun away, and snatched the wire from Choi Pyeong-Hwa’s waist.

“Huh!”

He felt the wire’s disappearance and tried to grab me, but I wasn’t there anymore.

“Just buy me a second, I can definitely catch her..!”

“You move like a rat!”

“She took my wire! I can’t fight, I can’t… Argh!”

They shouldn’t be shouting their plans in front of me right?

I wrapped the wire I took from Choi Pyeong-Hwa around him.

Kook Tae-Min, Who was next to me, took advantage of the opportunity, and swung his spear at me, but without a proper distance, his spear can barely make any waves.

And most importantly…

‘I know how to deal with a spear user, and I know how to deal with them damn well!’

After all, I’ve been dealing with a strong man wielding a spear to the point of exhaustion before my regression.

It was that sharp-eared bastard.

He was a strong enough spear user to make me want to vomit.

I leaned the barrel of my gun against the spear.

With the slightest pressure on the spear, it was easily disoriented.

“Ugh!”

It’s even more effective if I’m pushing it hard.

Kook Tae-min’s center of gravity shifted in an instant.

I took advantage of the opening and aimed my gun at him.

‘One shot to the spearhead.’

Bang!

“My Poseidon’s spear!”

Apparently it had a fancy name.

I quickly wrapped the wire around Choi Pyeong-Hwa while Kook Tae-min was out of sorts.

Of course, I don’t know how to use a wire, so I wrapped it haphazardly.

This made it even harder for him to untangle.

Puck!

“Ugh!”

I kicked Choi Pyeong-hwa, and he rolled on the floor, unable to move his limbs properly.

‘One down.’

I looked up and saw Min Seo-Joon standing in front of me, after having regrouped.

I locked eyes with him.

‘He actually said he was sorry for me.’

He seemed to have some sort of sympathy even though he’s committed a lot of crimes.

Did he think that a mere apology would lessen the evilness of his crime?

He’s foolish.

“Can you please spare me? I can give you back your money and whatever compensation you want.”

“What? What are you talking about, who said that?”

Min Seo-Joon stared at me, not even responding to the protests from behind him.

“At least you’re smart.”

He must have realized that he was no match for me.

“There must have been people begging you for their life.”

I couldn’t help but look up at Min Seo-Joon, who seemed to have looked older than before.

It gave me another glimpse into his deep dark eyes.

“Did you ever try to help them?”

“…”

‘… I knew the answer.’

He never helped, he simply turned away, feeling sorry for those people who died.

So he can’t ask for mercy from me either.

Thud!
