Young Justice: Reincarnation

Alexander's POV

"Sigh...I should've just declined the offer" I'm in the training courtyard right now, where 11 Amazonians are currently practicing their skills and Diana is in front of me preparing for combat.

"Diana, Is this really necessary?" I said as another Amazon handed Diana her shield. "Yes, If I want to Induct you to the league then I need to have some measure of your skills and besides I'm really curious about it as well" she replied.

I grumbled and brought forth, the Shield and Sword from yesterday and then said "I thought We were going to the league today, I really need those identification paper you know" 'I haven't really decided to join this side-kicks league of theirs but Kara was pretty insistent about it yesterday and I can't really resist those puppy eyes of her, I call foul those skills should be deemed lethal and illegal'

"Do your best Alex, I'll be on the sides cheering for you kay?" Kara said with an encouraging smile. 'sigh...'

'Ever since I meet her yesterday, I have been having this urge to protect her and comfort her when she's acting like a lost puppy, sometimes I can't help but feel that I have to do everything I can to make her smile and happy'

"Sigh...Okay, let's get this over with" I said as Diana gave me a nod. Artemis became our referee and declared "Once this coin drop to the ground the battle will start so..." she then flips the coin.

I watch the coin flip in mid-air and slowly but surely my focus was drawn to it and everything started slowing down. 'Huh...What the'.

"Focus!" That moment of distraction cause me, Diana came with a Shield Bash. I tried to raise my shield to defend against it but it was too late and I was thrown back.

"Argh..." 'F.u.c.k, what was that' Diana press the attack with her sword. 'Raise Your Shield!' "huh" 'Raise!' I raise my Shield and was able to defend from her swing, her sword bounce back from the impact. Diana then uses the impact to spin herself and deliver a reverse strike. Thankfully I manage to step back in time and the sword only manage to cut my shirt.

I tried to deliver my own attack but it was useless as Diana already jump back. "Focus Alexander!" Diana shouted.

She dashes once again with a shield bash and the voice in my head once again shouted 'HOLD YOUR GROUND!' I raise my shield up and lowered my center of gravity, I then readied my sword as once again everything started slowing down. 'WAR!' Diana came close and I focus my eyes on her, she then started slowing down but still not slow enough for me to exploit, she then swung her sword from up above 'Raise Your Shield! I raise my shield up and meet her sword with it 'Tilt' I then reangled my shield and her sword slide away. 'War!' 'Strike with Vigor!' 'War!' I then counter the strike with my own swing that was blocked by her shield. 'PRESS THE ATTACK!' I followed the voice and bash my own shield to hers knocking her back in the process she smiled and responded with her own.

'War!' Slowly as if someone is trying to guide me, I spin in place to dodge her attempt at stabbing me and with my right hand, I brought it up and change the sword into a hammer, I then smash it to the ground disorienting Diana from her already unbalance position and followed it with a shield bash to the body which connected sending her flying away.

Diana repositions her self in mid-air and landed gracefully in the ground, she gave me a ruthlessly amuse grin and then vanished.

'RIGHT' "Shit!" She reappeared next to me without her weapon and uppercut me in the face which sends me flying.

'UP' She appeared once again right up above me with both of her arms raised, 'Defend!' she brought both fists down and slam me to the ground.

'Argh..' 'Get Up!' Diana tried to follow it up with another punch but I manage to roll out of the way.

Her punch hit the empty ground and created cracks. It made my spine shiver for a moment, I then check for my weapons but they were too far away so I tried to once again focus on her but she vanishes and appeared right above.

'War!' 'Hold Your Ground!' 'War' "Ragh!!!" I cried out a battle cry and brought my arms up to defend, her punch connected with my raise arms and created shockwaves. I then grab hold of her hand and swung her to the ground, the impact created a crater in the ground.

I tried to follow up with a stomp to the head but she manages to get up and jump away. I followed after her and manage to slip a solid punch to the rib, it made her airborne for a moment but she flips and tried to kick me in the face.

'PRESS THE ATTACK!' something took hold of my body for a moment as I rapidly punch at the newly landed Diana and she weaves in and out of it. She then delivered a solid knee in my stomach after a grab to the head which staggered me for a bit, Diana then followed it with a solid one to the chin ending the fight.

'Gagh!!' everything stop as silence echoed around the courtyard as I drop down. Diana caught me before I fall and she laid me down in the ground.

"You did good Alexander." She said with a smile, I saw Kara from the corner approach with a worried look. I turn back to the smiling Diana who was now letting me drink ambrosia.

"W-Was it... really necessary, to go ...full power on me?" I ask her and she scratches the back of her head and she manages to have the gal to look sheepish. "I'm sorry, I got ...carried away?"

'got carried away? Argh..' I tried to sit up only to laid back again as a super-powered Kryptonian woman named Kara crash with my aching body.

"Argh...Kara It Hurts..." I manage to say as Kara squeeze the life out of me with her Krypton Powered Hug.

"Kara ease up, you'll end up hurting him more," Diana said. Kara glared at Diana with her eyes turning red and then shouted: "what the heck was that!?" I hold her hand and tried to calm her down.

"It's okay Kara, It was not that bad I don't really feel that much from her punches and I only fell down because of the uppercut to the head," I said to the now calming Kara.

"Then why are you hurting?!" Kara questioned but before I could answer Diana explained: "It's from exerting himself too much, he continuously use techniques his body is not used to." I blush at the explanation and scratch the back of my head.

"Now about his invulnerability to blunt force, you see Alex's physiology is pretty similar to mine in which blunt forces don't affect us that much and the only way to beat us is through the use of bladed weapons or like I did earlier give a solid blow to the chin to rattle the brain. We are still human with brains after all but even with that knowledge you still need to have the appropriate strength needed to deliver the blow." Diana explained which thankfully was acceptable enough to Kara to back off.

I then stood up from the ground and wince a bit, I'm still quite dizzy from the beat down earlier. "Would it be alright for me to rest for an hour before we go to the base?" I turn to Diana, who was currently wiping of the sweat in her face. She nods at me and I give her thanks, Kara then brought me to my quarters and I plump down the bed then pass out.
