28. Go Get Yourself Washed!

Translator: Flying Lines

Being push to the ground, the tiger rolled to gain balance and roared at Su Jie, more out of grievance than warning. Pulling a long face, Su Jie stood up and wiped the saliva. Staring at the stupid tiger on the ground, he couldn’t help but wonder whether it was a tiger or a Huskie.

Xiao ShengNian strode over and said in a rather cold tone of voice, his face sullen, “Why didn’t you even try to dodge this damn beast?!”

Su Jie looked pale as it was never a fun experience to be pounced on by a tiger, especially a weird tiger.

“Your Highness, where did you get this tiger? He’s so ridiculously excited and I thought he tried to eat me alive. Yet instead, he gave me all the gross saliva.” Su Jie was quite helpless and continued wiping his face so hard that his cheek turned red.

Xiao ShengNian, eyes squinted, asked, “You don’t know Da Hua?” [Lit, Big Flower. Gosh! Why such a name for a tiger? Too stupid…lol]

“Da Hua?” The corner of Su Jie’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch as he lowered his head to look at the tiger which sensibly raised its head and blinked its two big eyes at Su Jie. [Stupidly cute hahhh]

Su Jie was immediately amused and laughed, “That’s his name?”

Seeing the big smile on Su Jie’s face, Xiao ShengNian knitted his brows slightly. Da Hua was his teacher’s pet who had never showed such affection to others. But now…it took a liking to Su Jie on their first meeting, showing even more intimacy when it was with his teacher. That was strange and he thought Su Jie must have met the tiger before, but in fact not.

“Go get a bath and get changed. There’s a person I want you to meet.” Xiao ShengNian said after shooting the tiger a cold glance.

‘Bath? Meet a person?’ Su Jie’s imagination ran wild. ‘Is Xiao ShengNian planning to send me to this man as a gift?’

State Yanhui was an open country where males could marry each other. However, since males couldn’t bear children, male concubines enjoyed much a lower status than their female counterparts. Some dignitaries even gave their male concubines away. Worse, a man being married was not allowed to marry a woman. Therefore, hearing Xiao ShengNian’s words, the first thing came to Su Jie’s mind was, ‘He is giving me away?!’

He was immediately consumed with rage. First Prince Qin let him infiltrate Prince Rui’s Mansion, and now this Prince Rui was sending him away too? That was too much!

Xiao ShengNian had no idea what was on Su Jie’s mind. He was only taking him to his teacher who he had arranged to take a rest after the long journey.

As for the stupid Da Hua, it was hungry and Xiao ShengNian had to find it some food.

“What are you standing here for? Go wash off that smell of this beast!” The usual gentle smile on his face was long gone. He now looked solemn and serious.

Da Hua wanted to follow in Su Jie’s wake but was stopped by Xiao ShengNian.

Then Da Hua paced gracefully to Xiao ShengNian with an arrogant look on his face, only to be kicked into a cage Xiao ShengNian had the servants prepare beforehand.

“How dare you lay your dirty claw on what is mine! I’ll skin you if you were not teacher’s pet.” Xiao ShengNian rebuked in a chilling tone.

In no way could Da Hua understand the words. He just roared restlessly after losing his freedom.

Xiao ShengNian was unmoved by Da Hua’s struggle and he even wanted to chop it into pieces to vent his anger. He called ten guards over and ordered, “Keep an eye on it and starve it for a couple of days. But don’t let it die.”

Poor Da Hua had no idea what he had done wrong. He roared angrily at Xiao ShengNian and struggled restlessly in the cage, but nobody came to his rescue.
