27. Being Molested by a Tiger?!

Translator: Flying Lines

“I’m sorry.” Yue Wanzhi budged after a moment of stalemate, unwillingly and not in a sincere manner. He had to. A Prime Minister couldn’t hold a candle to a prince.

Zhui Xing, however, didn’t mind his perfunctory attitude, what he wanted was his apology. As for whether Su Jie liked it, he didn’t care.

Su Jie already began to ponder over how he could use this Yue Wanzhi. His father, the Prime Minister, was quite influential at court who had remained neutral, unbiased towards any prince all these years. But Yue Wanzhi might be able to change that.

Prince Qin had few supporters at court. If he could persuade Prime Minister Yue to Prince Qin’s side, then Prince Qin would be one step closer to the throne.

Then on a second thought, he drove that idea out of his mind. Prime Minister Yue was much more sophisticated and experienced than him, impossible to be easily swayed. Let alone this Yue Wanzhi now hated him to the core, who might cause him endless trouble in the future. Though the boy had left, the manifest hatred in his eyes indicated he was still holding a grudge.

Su Jie was no longer in the mood to wander around the street after such a trouble and went straight back to Prince Qui’s Mansion.

With Xiao ShengNian away, Su Jie was the only master in the mansion. So he asked Yu Jiang and Zhui Xing to show him around the place while secretly observing how many guards were hidden in the shadow along the way.

That leisure and casual time lasted for like two or threes days until Xiao ShengNian came back. On the day of his return, he didn’t inform any of his men to meet him in advance and came in when Su Jie was bathing in the sunlight in the garden, eyes half squinted with satisfaction.

He lay on the couch in his gorgeous and loose red robe, a relaxed look on his comely face. He was humming an unknown folk song with lively and melodious tune, his voice clear and pleasing to the ear with the warmth of the sunlight as the soft breeze rustled his hair.

Xiao ShengNian was stunned by the beauty, his heart melting for the peaceful scene as tenderness accumulated in his eyes and this picturesque scene imprinted in his mind.

But all the serenity and beauty were suddenly spoiled by a tiger roar, which rendered Su Jie in a shock as he turned around and saw a robust tiger springing at him.

Involuntarily, he wanted to strike as his instinct guided him. But he couldn’t as Xiao ShengNian was there.

Fighting hard to hold back his impulse to dodge away, he remined unmoved and didn’t fluster as he was sure he could kill the tiger should it injure him.

However, for others present, Su Jie was too frightened to move, waiting with a blank face for his doom.

Then…

At the critical moment…

The tiger pounced on him and rubbed its huge head against Su Jie’s chest.

Su Jie was dumbfounded. His attacking palm somehow changed into a soft rub on the tiger’s head.

The tiger kept rubbing Su Jie affectionately and even licked his handsome face before it lay right on him, unwilling to leave.

Su Jie touched his face and his brows furrowed in disgust at the saliva. Rolling his eyes, he could barely hold back his impulse to hit this stupid tiger.

The tiger was strong and heavy, now nearly suffocated Su Jie with its huge body. After a while, Su Jie’s patience ran out as he pushed the tiger off.

Xiao ShengNian was shocked by the amusing scene happing before him, who then fumed, “What a lecherous tiger! You dare to molest my boy!”

Su Jie: …

‘So I was taken advantage of by a tiger?!!!’
