In the eyes of Assistant Chen, Miao Ye was rather hysterical as he moaned about his mistreatment in the hands of Jiang Ying. He was fighting for his human rights in great grief and indignation.

“He’s too fierce! I don’t mind if he’s fighting me fiercely in the corridor, but he was still going after me during the audition! I understand why he is so controversial now…” Miao Ye looked around his surroundings as he continued, probably scared to be eavesdropped by Jiang Ying himself.

“First things first, please pay me with the agreed upon salary. And then you tell Mr. Jiang to give me some compensation for the spiritual damage I just received,” Miao Ye wiped off his cold sweat, “I’m really not extorting money. You should know that Jiang Ying really hits where it hurts. You were his so-called nemesis before right, then you knew how he was able to use his words alone to kill my spirit, my soul, and my courage. I’m in shock, I think I need to talk to a psychiatrist.”

Miao Ye hung up the phone, leaning against the wall, trying to soothe his rattled mind. Then, his eyes met with Assistant Chen’s.

“Brother, I know money is hard to earn.” Assistant Chen stepped forward and patted Miao Ye on the shoulder in sympathy, “Besides, the Jiang family’s money is extremely hard to earn.”

“It’s too difficult.” Miao Ye answered as he shook his head, “I thought this was an easy gig to earn some pocket money, but who knows that it ended up almost giving me PTSD.”

The two men both made money from the Jiang family. They understood each other’s woes and troubles. Wordlessly, they looked at each other and smiled in solidarity.

Because there was something hidden in his heart, Jiang Ying arrived at his middle school reunion early. There were not many people attending the reunion, and they gathered together in a group of twos and threes to chat.

Qi Jun was already here, but Zheng Yinyin and the others hadn’t arrived yet. Jiang Ying walked into the room, took off his hat and mask, and found a place to sit down.

As soon as he came, the already lively room became noisier.

“Jiang Ying! I see you on hot search every now and then, hey! It feels like you never left!”

“Come on, Second Young Master Jiang, give me an autograph. My nine-year-old sister wants your autograph.”

“Nine-year-olds should do their homework well rather than chasing after stars.” Jiang Ying took the autograph paper from his old classmate and signed his name with a natural ease..

“Is Qi Zhu coming?” Qi Jun asked him, “I still remember clearly when you two sat behind me. I always get the front row seat of you two bickering.”

“Probably not coming.” Jiang Ying shook his head, “That day I called him, and he said that he is very busy with his work.”

“Big stars sure get very busy, huh.” Qi Jun sighed.

“I’m totally different from him, though. My work is secondary for me, so I’m pretty happy with my current state.” Jiang Ying said calmly.

Having known each other for so many years, Qi Jun still was confused about how Jiang Ying could feel “happy” with his current situation. “Tell me, since you don’t like singing or filming a drama, why did you enter the entertainment industry?”

“Simple. I like the entertainment industry.” Jiang Ying slapped the table and said meaningfully, “It’s very interesting.”

He had no interest in acting since he was a child, and never thought he could do it well either. But he knew all the juiciest of secrets and the most scandalous of gossip of various members of the entertainment industry in the back of his hand. Whenever there was a (verbal or text) fight, he wanted to join in. He shined the brightest in this kind of situation.

It just so happened that Qi Zhu didn’t come, so Jiang Ying decided to clear @BossCrab’s name before the party started. He had time to kill, might as well do something productive, right?

“Why are you still playing this app?” Qi Jun turned his head and glanced at Jiang Ying’s phone screen, “I uninstalled it three years ago. I can’t vent my anger in this app; instead I just got angrier. So I uninstall it as soon as possible for the sake of my mental health.”

“Why would I do that? This thing is super fun. Besides, venting your anger is good for your mental health too. You will be living a longer life if you don’t bottle up all your emotions.” Jiang Ying spoke whatever reason he had on his mind as he opened up the app, “Here, watch my mad skills.”

Also, it took Jiang Ying three years of fighting his way up to the top of the leaderboard. Why would he abandon this glorious achievement like that?

On the ranking list of the app, he ranked ninth. But his activity rate was in the top three on the site. The tenth place was [sunny], whose activity rate was also in the top three.

Qi Jun looked at Jiang Ying’s record and was left speechless: “In your circle, why hasn’t anyone come up with a variety show about arguing? Or debating?”

“Good idea.” Jiang Ying stared at his phone screen with full intent, “How about you invest in a variety show?” I promise to join.”

Qi Jun snarked back, “Didn’t you said that you were going to show me your ‘mad skills’?”

Jiang Ying hummed, and then selected “Topic-Based Fight” on the app again, then selected the ‘Entertainment Circle’ topic option. “Here, I’ll take you to experience the coolness of this app.”

He was playing around with this app before the main party started. He didn’t expect to get a question related to Qi Zhu this time. The app matched him with his opponent and started randomized a topic for him.

“I’ll let fate choose my topic for me. I know a lot about the entertainment industry, so I can win with any topic I get.” Jiang Ying explained to Qi Jun, “For me, most of the questions in this option are just free wins.”

The match begun, and the randomly assigned topic was displayed on his screen–

[Is Jiang Ying’s acting skills bad?]

Qi Jun: “…”

Jiang Ying slowly typed a question mark in the dialog box.
