2 Years Of Restarting

"Xin'er, I'm sorry, I was away for work trip and I'm currently not in City A…" Bao Tu chose to lie and didn't expose his real reason for going away. He looked at the apartment once more then decided in his mind that it would be futile. He should just follow Yu Xin's advice and let that woman off this time.

But next time, Bao Tu's eyes flashed with ruthlessness.

Yu Xin's tone sounded sad. "Aww, alright. I'll pay a visit next time, then."

"Yes, I'm sorry, Xin'er. Let me take you to a wonderful place next time as an apology."

"Alright, you promise me!"

Bao Tu put down his phone and sighed. He rubbed his forehead. Even though he wanted to make Yu Yan paid for it, he would need to wait for that woman to try suing them for trespassing.

If that annoying woman didn't sue them for real, his meticulous plan would be useless.

Not to mention, he didn't have the time to play this game with her all the time. There were still a lot of things he had to finish. Bao Tu internally cursed as he rushed out of the apartment. He had to deal with his business matter first and then return back to Capital City or City A.

While Bao Tu was finishing his preparation to hinder Yu Yan's attempt to sue them for trespassing, Long Ying had brought Yu Yan back to the car. He could see that her expression looked a bit lost.

"Yan'er."

Yu Yan heard the call and raised her head. "Yeah?"

"Are you alright?"

"Mhm." Yu Yan nodded. She was not that naïve to think that everyone would always try to play fair and all. There were a lot of people who would be happy to use unspeakable means to get what they wanted.

This was just one thing that she knew where money would play part heavily.

She just never expected that there would be a day when she would see it by herself. Worse was that she was the one who had to bear with it. 

Long Ying patted Yu Yan's head tenderly. "If you really want to sue them, I can make sure that they will not be able to fight back at all."

Yu Yan paused for a moment before letting out a faint laugh. "There's no need for that. If I really want to sue them I already have the necessary evidence. However, trespassing is not really a heavy crime and they would not be punished that much. At most, they needed to pay a fine."

She didn't want to just punish them with this. 

Long Ying nodded. He understood that Yu Yan would not be satisfied if things ended with just those two paying a fine to her. What Yu Yan wanted was worse than that.

He glanced out of the car and saw Bao Tu had returned back to the first floor as the car headed out. His silver eyes glinted with ruthlessness. If that annoying man still tried to chase after Yu Yan, he didn't mind giving him a lesson he would never forget in his entire life.

In any case, it would be impossible for him to let him off for what he had done to Yu Yan. 

"Where are we going now?" Yu Yan changed the conversation. She didn't want to think of those people from Bungalow Apartment anymore. They were once her neighbors but from now on, they would not be part of her life anymore. 

"To the Capital City."

"Boss, you're returning back?" Lan Huo was surprised. He felt happy from the bottom of his heart because he thought that Long Ying had the intention to stay in City F for the rest of his life because Yu Yan was living here.

Long Ying grunted as he kept holding Yu Yan's hand in the car. The journey back to the Capital City would take at least two hours, so they should just rest when they could.

"I'm going to sleep. Watch the road."

"Yes, Boss!"

The order scared Lan Huo. From what he knew, Long Ying would never sleep on the way because there was risk of him being assassinated on the street. While the chance might be low, there were always some people who would take chance even at the slightest bit of mistake.

If Long Ying was sleeping and something happened, wouldn't it mean that the burden lies on him? Lan Huo was extremely nervous as he kept his vigilance to the max.

On the other hand, Yu Yan glanced to the side and looked at Long Ying. She felt it strange that he kept on sleeping even though it was day time.

"Say, did Long Ying lose sleep lately?"

"Ah, Madam, Boss just had some matters that he needs to attend to." Lan Huo didn't know how to explain. The matter was quite complicated and since Yu Yan was unfamiliar with how the underworld worked, the explanation might take an extremely long time.

"What kinds of matter?"

"That's…."

"Am I not allowed to know?" 

"It's not that, but it's just a bit complicated." Lan Huo sighed as he turned the car in the intersection. "Madam, you do know that clans and gangs have territory on their own, right? It's like, the area where we can deploy our men freely without having other gangs intervened."

Yu Yan blinked her eyes. "I have only read books and some novels about that."

"It's already pretty accurate in itself." Lan Huo let out a faint laugh. "In fact, it might not be that much different from what you read aside from the fact that our deals are mostly undercover. We don't do things openly and usually in the darkness without any evidence that we leave behind.

For some more open deals, it's usually related to business and our Boss didn't really handle it that well. Well, the men on the street might look like ordinary people passing but there were a lot of clan members blending.. Recently… there are just some dispute with neighboring clan about the territory."
