2 Years Of Restarting

They were always looking at her as if she owed them her a great debt, debt of life that could never be paid.

But before Yu Yan could think further, the familiar sickening voice entered her ear.

"Sister!"

Yu Yan really wished to smack the person who speak, but she controlled her expression. Turning around, Yu Yan could see Yu Xin walking towards her. Dressed in lavish dress worth several figures, she looked like a princess that came out of the painting.

The two sisters have similar faces, but Yu Xin looked more demure. At the same time, she gave off the vibe of a sweet and lovable girl, igniting men's desire to protect and dominate her.

"You still call me sister?" Yu Yan asked in an indifferent tone. She knew that her attitude could easily earn her a lot of enemies, but she didn't want to play with Yu Xin. This sickening attitude and drama that she had faced countless times in the past was already more than enough.

Yu Xin looked hurt. "Sister, what are you talking about?"

"I thought you have stopped calling me as one since Mother wish to kick me out." Yu Yan's tone was calm without any ripples in the slightest bit. If one should say, she sounded as if she was saying that the weather is nice rather than saying that her own blood related mother wished to kick her out of her home.

"Mother didn't mean it, Sister. Are you angry with me, Sister?" Yu Xin asked again, her eyes turned red as if she was suffering grievances.

"Angry with you? Why should I?"

"Because I…"

"That's enough Xin'er. There's no need to spare her even a second of your time. You're too kind to spare her even a second of your time." Bao Tu stepped forward. The way he looked at Yu Yan was no longer as if he was looking at his lover back then but as if he was looking at a trash.

Raising her head, Yu Yan locked her gaze with Bao Tu. When she caught them red handed making out in her own apartment, her gaze was filled with pain as she looked at Bao Tu. But now, there was not even the slightest bit emotion within her deep pale brown eyes.

It was as if the person in front of her was nothing more than a stranger.

Bao Tu's pupil constricted slightly. He clearly knew this gaze because it was the same gaze Yu Yan gave to him when he met her for the first time. At that time, she was not even attracted to him and he was the one who shamelessly tried to pursue her.

It took him a long time before Yu Yan agreed but even after they started to go out, Bao Tu felt that Yu Yan never truly cared for him. He was also terribly annoyed when she was late for their appointment from time to time and eventually, he met with Yu Xin, a woman who was far kinder and sweeter than Yu Yan. 

"Bao Tu, Sis is…"

"This is a matter between sisters. A stranger like you shouldn't interfere in our conversation." Yu Yan looked at Bao Tu steadily.

She had already buried all of her feelings to him. If it was said that Bao Tu was a ruthless person to be able to forget about Yu Yan so easily and treat her worse than dirt, Yu Yan was also a ruthless person.

The moment she chose to forget about Bao Tu, she had ruthlessly erase all of her memories with him. Trampling those memories within her mind, Yu Yan told herself to never care about them anymore.

Thus, her eyes were filled with coldness.

There was not even any trace of pain nor other feelings seeping in. The one who stood in front of her was nothing more than a stranger, so why should she feel sad nor angry?

"You're bullying my fiancée. How can I not step in?"

Bao Tu's eyes wavered a bit when he saw Yu Yan's gaze. He thought that she would never be able to forget him and still longed for him. But looking at her expression and how she treated him as if he was a stranger, he felt some strange feelings in his heart.

It was unease.

"Fiancée? If you're her fiancé, then listen carefully, which dog eyes of yours see me bully my sister when all I do is asking her question?" Yu Yan's expression never change all the time she asked the question. Her tone was also very monotone and showed no change in emotion at all.

Bao Tu narrowed his eyes. He had never seen Yu Yan like this. Over their few months of relationship, she was always giving in to him and treated him kindly. However, it was never to the point of affectionate.

"If you're angry at me choosing her over you, you…"

"I already redress my grievances that day. How do you feel when you have hot water splashed on top your body when you both make out with each other in other people's place?" Yu Yan asked.

"Sister!" Yu Xin's face darkened. The current society was already very open because it was not that weird to have intimate relationship before marriage. But it was not something that should be announced to public! After all, it was as if saying that she had already become his and if she ended up changing her partner in the future, she was no longer a pure girl anymore.

"That's a lie!" Bao Tu also snapped. He would not let Yu Yan spread about what had happened that day to anyone. Besides, he had paid those who stayed in the same apartment to never speak about this matter at all.

"Is it?" Yu Yan's tone was calm. She looked at the two of them as she snickered. "Do you really think that paying those people to stay shut will help you cover up what happened that day?"

Bao Tu looked at Yu Yan as his eyes grew colder. The ruthless Yu Yan in front of him seemed strange and unfamiliar. It was as if the person who was standing in front of him was not the same Yu Yan he knew for several months but a completely different person altogether.

But it was impossible.

She merely showed the side she never showed to him before, the side of her when she was facing her enemies.

"I don't know what you're talking about. We're merely visiting you that day!" Bao Tu snorted.

Visiting?

Yu Yan let out a laugh when she heard what they were saying. There was no mirth in her eyes but she still laughed so freely. If one didn't know better, they might associate her with an actress just based on her way to hide her current expression and feeling so perfectly.

"This is the first time I ever know that when you're visiting someone, you'll be borrowing their bed and make out with another person without permission."

Yu Xin's face changed. She could see that the people around them had started to pay more attention in their direction. If the rumors about how she slept with Bao Tu in Yu Yan's place spread, she would lose all face.

Internally, she was already cursing Yu Yan countless times over and even hoping for the other party's death. But at the front, she was showing tearful expression as if she had been wronged.

"I didn't…" Yu Xin started to produce tears as she said pitifully. Anyone who saw her would definitely felt that they were too harsh to such a frail woman and would not try to make things difficult to her.

Her appearance was already invoking men's feeling to protect them. Adding with tears and such pitiful expression, she successfully caused some people around them to feel that she was so pitiful.

Only some people still retained their senses and sneered at her acting.

Appearance can be deceiving and this woman's current appearance was the perfect example of that sentence. It was clear that she was trying to evade the current conversation by showing off her pitiful and weak appearance.

But not everyone would be fooled.

Unfortunately, the man beside her was one that would willingly fall to the trap of beauty. He hurriedly hugged Yu Xin as if to shield her from the entire world should it came against them. 

"Xin'er, don't cry!" Bao Tu then looked at Yu Yan with a sneer. "You're the one who invited us. Your neighbors can testify for that."

"Testify?" Yu Yan let out a mirthless laugh.. "Even if they can testify and give false statement, do you really think that it's correct for you to say that you only come to visit when you clearly make out on my bed? Ah, don't try to stop my words when I'm not done yet. Do you forget that I have security camera in my apartment?"
