Adventures Of Bayek: Through The Void And Beyond

"I'm sorry, love" Bayek twisted his hands and Ruby collapsed.

Dr. Sterns walked through the portal to retrieve her. Before leaving he turned to Bayek with worried eyes and said, "i don't have friends, I never have. It's always been my research and I. You aren't even my friend Mr. Siwa, but, I have to admit, you are the closets thing I have to one and I kind of like having you as a business partner. So do everyone a favor, Especially that girl, Don't do anything stupid."

Bayek was left alone after Dr. Sterns took his leave. "What could possibly go wrong ?" he spoke to himself in the bathroom mirror. Collecting his thoughts, Bayek headed out find Ororo Meroe.

Ororo Meroe, A.k.a, Ro was born April 17th, 1992. At the age of 12 she displayed powers never before recorded in the modern era. Her father was never identified and Her mother was estranged princess from a remote Kenyan Tribe. Her mother died in 2000 after a long grueling battle with cancer. It was hard for Ororo to watch, when her mouth finally called it quits, Ro had no intentions of have another mother and turn to a life in the street. On the street of Cairo, Ro became notorious for brutality and martial skill. There wasn't a man she met that she could put down.

Due to her reputation, in 2008, Ro was picked up by Ola Sayed. He's an Egyptian smuggler, anything that could turn a profit he moved. The day of the lightning storms, Ro used her powers for the first time since they awakened, destroying all of Ola's shipment and putting herself on Katakat's radar as more than just a low-life smuggler's thug.

Running from the Katakat and Ola Sayed, Ro found herself heading south based on instinct and kept running. Based on the memorizes of Captain Mahmoud Fawzi, the Katakat predicts her next stop would be somewhere in the Serengeti. With a government unit hunting Ro and unpredictable X-men unit, the potential power house, Ro, was ripe for the picking.

In Cairo, the theorized three men X-men unit, had finally found a person with the clearance to be read in on Ororo Meroe's movements. With the right info in hand, the X-Men also started out on their collision course to cease a power they would rather kill than let be turned into a weapon.

On their private jet, the middle aged man with a metal ban around his eyes spoke to the red head pilot of genuine concern. "Cerebro is becoming more unreliable as the days go by. If the professor doesn't allow us to make a move on the CIA, Cerebro will fall and Mutants all over will be left to the wolves. No to mention what i would do to him if it fails with him inside. Even worse, what would happen if S.H.I.E.L.D discovers the technology?"

"Scott, you need to relax. The professor knows what he's doing. He said he would handle the Cerebro problem with Logan. Have some faith in them" Replied the red haired pilot.

"We've been too relaxed, Jean. Now Trask Industries has disappeared and that machine is making you, Emma, and the professor sick. When will you guys wake up and see what we have to do." Scott became visibly agitated.

"I think you should calm down, guy" The woman in the back chimed in, "Lets just focus on getting this Ororo girl and handle everything else when we get back. "

Sometime later, forces converged in Serengeti. Outside a small village, Bayek stalked Ro and watched for any incoming threats. Once the first was identified, countless more began to role in. Mounting an assault on the village, the Katakat used sleepers on the villagers and went house to house hunting Ro. The found her at the village, surrounded by armed men, her eyes turned milky white and her long white ponytail blew n the swirling winds. Everything in a 10 feet radius was electrified and the sky began to churn with her aggression as it's muse.

Sky rumbled and the winds howled, darkness covered the earth and the winds brought a deathly chill to lands of Serengeti.

Bang! Bang! the agent fired rounds at the floating mutant. The more power Ro displayed, the more fear crept into the hearts of the Katakat. The moments their bullets entered Ro's electrified field, they were turned to molten metal and fell to the already crystallized sand beneath Ro.

Witnessing the fate of their bullets, the Katakat decided to throw something a little more destructive at Ro. While they were prepping grenades, Bayek appeared in the sky with a thousand hands, casting the images of Ikkon spell. A thousand Bayek's appeared surrounding the Katakat.

"Unfortunately those who covet a goddess are doomed to suffer ill fates." Bayek's voice boomed, shaking the land. "By the power of Hadad" he muttered. In like Ro, Bayek made the sky churn and the land became darker, the only light visible was that of the purple white lightning that Bayek called forth to smite the agents of the Katakat.

Witnessing Bayek's display of lightning, Ro calm down and withdrew her power after watching the the Katakat burn to a crisp. With both of her feet on the ground, Ro looked around at one thousand Bayeks merge into one. Like the wind. Bayek drifted to the ground and towered over Ro.

"Who are you?" She asked looking not his vibrant eyes and white silver hair.

"Bayek Siwa, You've created a few disaster level storms lately. I'm here to help you recover. I can't promise the perfect life and countless friends. But I can give a comfortable life, good friends, and I can teach you where your power comes from and how to control it. There are so many layers to you and I want to help you discover them free of persecution and suppression. "

"So, you want to take me away too?

"Yes and no, if people weren't after you. I wouldn't be here. If you knew how to use your power, I wouldn't be here. I want you to come with me for your safety, once you're strong enough, you can do as you please."

Ro looked at Bayek and then the death around her. As she began to take steps towards Bayek, a voice infiltrated her mind. 'Don't go with him'

Looking around to find the source of the voice, Ro's eyes landed on the three man X-men unit. Bayek followed her eyes and noticed the distraction.

"So you finally came?" he asked, The questioned confused the X-Men

"You were expecting use?" they replied

"Yes." He said Bayek, "Cyclops, Rouge, and Jean, right?" he pointed out the members of the three man unit shocking them

"Who are you?" Jean asked

"I'm no one, I just want to take Ro. I can teach her how to control her powers and about legacy. I don't want any trouble." He explained

The X-men looked him over and Jean attempted prob his mind. "It won't work, There's a mantra that creates a mental barrier that protects the mind from telepathic attacks. Like I said, I don't want trouble. But if you insist, I do have time."

Bayek then channeled all of his chi raising his strength. Though he transmigrated into a new world his cultivation remained the same. Not to mention the spells Bayek had found in the Kamar-Taj library, centered around Chi magic. Unlike the eldritch circles he usually casted, Bayek now had a massive 8 trigrams celestial circle hovering behind him.

"I protect my own, So, if you insist--Let's get to it." Bayek said once more and the pressure he emitted from his being caused cyclops to fall to his knees. Rouge was wobbling as she forced herself to stand tall, with her abilities most of the energy assailing her was absorbed. Though, it tore through her like it once tore through Bayek's untrained body. The only one to withstand was none other than Jean Grey.

Bayek could smell the power permeating from Jean's core. Taking in the aroma, Bayek tilted his head and asked, "The phoenix force is amazing, unfortunately you can't control it." Bayek immediately recalled his Chi. The more Bayek interacted with them, the more he realized he knew nothing of the X-men of the MCU.

The X-men flashed weary looks at Bayek and then regained their composure, however, Rouge could no longer manage and collapsed as blood leaked from her pores.

"What just happened?" asked Ro, she had witnessed everything but felt nothing.

Bayek ignored her question and kept his eyes on the X-men.

Jean stepped forward while cyclops tended to Rouge. "Apologies, we didn't know the girl was taken care of."

Flashing a smile, Bayek replied, "Don't worry about it, you can make it up to me by answering a question."

Jean grew cautious and took a moment before she agreed, "what is it that you want to know?"

"Why is that no one remembers Apocalypse and the events that took place in Cairo?"

Bayek was straightforward about his question and threw Jean and Cyclops for a spin, "How do you know what happened during the Cairo Event?" she replied without a thought

"Because I know things, So, are you gone to spill it or what?"

Jean took a deep breath, then told Bayek the b.a.r.e minimum, "I heard you say something about the phoenix force, if you know how powerful it is, then you understand how powerful people can be. Our... Teacher, is that powerful. With this power, to protect mutants from global persecution after Apocalypse attacked-- he altered the worlds memories at a great price to himself."
