An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

Though she only mentioned Aaliyah by name, her subconscious was filled with the man on the screen who was currently making the girl blush deeper in the footage and she found herself leaving the place in haste and followed by Aaliyah tailing her behind.

The more she looked at him, the more she felt assured and secured. He was always there for her and he never once bothered to show it to her. His presence itself made her heart feel light, how she wished that she could feel the same way towards Shane.

A small smile crept out her lips after a very long time. 'I was blushing over two men being trapped in the men's room. How stupid! He sure would have laughed hard behind my back.'

The guard who just clicked open the remaining footage was stunned by encountering the smile in Anna's face.

Ignoring his reaction, she paid utmost attention to the upcoming videos. A group of men streamed in one by one and filled the place and the rest she herself saw it in person. She eventually noticed Aaliyah nodding to one of the men stationed in the lounge and he nodded back in response to her.

Anna's eyes shot up, She immediately questioned the guard who stood beside her, "Did you find any more information about Aaliyah?"

The guard replied, "She has gone missing and we could not track her down and same implies for Jacob. They both have vanished as if they never existed."

Anna processed the statement in her head, "We must track them down soon, they most definitely have some vital information about me."

By then an important crisis showed up, "Oh my God! Does Shane know about it? he would kill me if he knew."

"Not yet! we could not communicate it to him last night but we have forwarded the footage prints to his email and also to your Mother-in-law."

When he finished his reports, A slap landed on the girl in the footage making her stumble and fall back precisely. Followed by that Jacob vicious kick landed on Shane, she was disoriented back then to notice any of these particular details clear enough earlier.

She whispered, "Did you send every footage including this to my mother-in-law?"

The answer was obvious 'yes' from the guard that was his duty and she cannot blame anyone other than herself.

She held her head tightly as the following episode unfold, The scorn in her eyes was resolute and fixed on the man who kicked Shane, It was absolutely a deadly stare. If she had witnessed the same episode on a TV show, she would have applauded for Jacob and swore the girl who disregarded his actions. He was, in reality, protecting her and all his acts claimed how much he cared for her.

She passed the video momentarily, as she was unable to concentrate anymore. She ordered her guard to leave her alone, She had so much on her plate to clear now and her fever was scorching high up for every passing minute.

She closed her laptop and she could not understand how she was feeling right now. She ordered her maid to bring her a bowl of soup and a tablet for fever.

She closed her eyes to clear her mind but unfortunately, her head was loaded with Jacob and she could not even force herself to think about Shane anymore.

Once she had her breakfast and medicine. She marched towards upstairs as she carried the laptop along with her. When she twisted the doorknob, she began worrying about how to face her mother-in-law. She made a mental note that she must make a call to clarify everything to Aunt Luyisa.

She put the laptop on the bed and she crawled up, Once she sat comfortably in front of the laptop, She picked up a pillow to hold tightly in her arms and she buried her chin and half of her face into it. She looked more like preparing to watch a horror movie. Once she resumed the video, she found herself shouting at the man and the man questioning her back in a fit.

Finally, She found Jacob stopped arguing but continued to watch Shane and her in a haze. His eyes turned red and there was no trail of earlier venom, now it was filled with pain. The same pain that she felt towards Shane by that time.

She hugged the pillow tighter as her orbs turned watery, she mouthed, "I am sorry, Jacob! I am really sorry!"
