An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

She hugged the pillow tighter as her orbs turned watery, she mouthed, "I am sorry, Jacob! I am sorry!"

When Shane and she started arguing, the edge of Jacob's lips curled up in a tiny note and it was evident that he was admiring her. She somehow felt that he always seemed happy whenever she tried to persuade Shane for him.

"How foul!" Her tongue swore but her lips curved up unknowing to herself. Once she continued watching all the clips where she was present, she observed that he didn't avert his eyes even for a second and she felt the emptiness in his eyes.

'Where did you go, Jacob? I still owe you a proper apology, I owe you a lot!'

The final clip was the one that she never expected, He was discussing something with Aaliyah and followed by that he smashed his fist on the wall continuously and it took four more people to stop him from doing it. His hand and the wall was covered with blood spot and the entire floor had a blood splutter.

Naia and Aaliyah tried to give him the first aid but he rushed out of the place. Anna held both her hands to her hanging mouth and she had a horrid expression.

She replayed the last scene again and tried to find what did Aaliyah said that made him go insane. She replayed again and again but their conversation was mild and he had no aura of fury.

Why did he explode all of a sudden? Seeing the blood-stained hand in the footage made her head go dizzy. She shut the laptop and collapsed in the bed.

She bit her lower lips to control all the streaming emotions which might outburst any minute through her eyes. She breathed in and out to calm her and as time passed by, the medicine took the effect and made her drowsy as she also had no sleep the previous night.

Anna underwent a string of images which ensued in her head but none of them are clear enough for her to grasp. Very slowly she drifted into a world of dreams, She ran faster and faster in the crowd, the whole place was filled with stalls and people were celebrating in a ceremony.

She was striving to find someone in the crowd, Whenever, she tried to get closer to him, he kept disappearing from the spot and she looked around each time to locate him again and again, the same series of event repeated making her go restless.

Around eight in the morning, Jacob strolled around the Highland Park where he first met Anna. He glanced ahead and found the bench that he once shared with his doll. He had both his hands on his pant pockets, his eyes cast low at the ground and let out a dull chuckle.

Then he composed himself to walk to the bench, the life in his orbs were all lost, only a dead smile was incarnated on his ever so charming face.

Once he squatted down in the bench, he allowed one of his hand to be laid on the back of the bench and his other hand searched for his phone. Once he extracted the phone out of his jeans pocket, he found that it was filled with numerous text messages and calls from both Esther and Kevin.

Yesterday night, Jacob was supposed to meet Kevin along with his sister. Somehow, he ended up in the park after roaming in the car all around the city for the whole night.

He dialed Kevin and the man on the other end of the call answered immediately, "Man! Where on earth did you go yesterday night? I waited in our meeting place till late at night."

Jacob looked aloof to have a chit-chat and he asked him instead, "Did you read the investigation report about Shane Torizo?"

"Yes, I did! I brought all the details yesterday night with me, and as usual, you weren't there." Kevin sustained to remind him the last night incident while grieving inside, 'I need to pack up for my honeymoon. So, you pig! Be quick to pick your girl up and let me go.'

"Is there anywhere mentioned that Shane was married?" Jacob enquired with a heart throb.

"What?!! It was not there in the report... Why?! Is that hog got married already? Man! then you can coax your future cousin-in-law to help you in getting the hands of Anna. That hog would go wild if he knew you are the CEO of BMF corporation."

Jacob laughed at him miserably, "Hmmm!!! Can you contact the Civil affairs office back in her country to get an appointment for Me and Anna to get married." It was the last way left with him to find whether Anna was truly married or not.

Kevin, had a huge light bulb flickered on over his head when he heard it, "Are you for real?! Man! Were you hanging out with Anna yesterday night?! Is that all settled between you two."

"Yeah! It will be settled soon!" Jacob replied to him in a faint voice.

"I will call you back in about ten minutes. Just hang in there and once done the arrangement, you need to bring her home to meet all of us. I want to see how shocked she was when she finds who I am."
