An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

Once Jacob hung up the phone, Kevin turned into a celebration mode. He immediately placed a video call to make arrangements.

Ten minutes passed as Kevin promised but there was still no response from him.

Twenty minutes passed.

Thirty minutes passed.

.

.

One hour passed still there was no response.

Jacob smiled desperately and his lips trembled, he was peering at the phone expecting with a sliver of hope that Kevin would say that the arrangement was done, He murmured dreamily, "Shocking! Isn't it? Kevin! Just Call me and tell me one lie that Anna was not yet taken."

There was no answer from Kevin but unexpectedly he received a call from his sister. He smiled one more time looking at the caller ID, "So it is true! Anna is really married!"

Jacob accepted the call, "Hello Sis!"

"Jacob! Where are you?" Esther tone was filled with concern.

"Why?! Is there any important news left for me?" Jacob said.

"Jacob! I want to meet you immediately, this instant, just tell me where are you now!"

"Kevin called you, right? You too know that Anna is married, am I right!!! And all of it is true, right?" Jacob's voice was shaking heavily.

"Jacob! Please come back home. Please! I need you and we all need you. Take your time but do come back as soon as you can, Don't do anything reckless."

"Reckless?! Yeah! It was a good idea, hmmm... Sis! I have decided to marry Anna and I want you to give your blessing to us."

"What nonsense are you talking, Have you gone mad? Jacob! Come back this instant, we need to talk about it." Esther yelled in hysteric.

"Sis! She belongs to me. She is mine, only mine! I will be back to the office right away, let's talk about the strategy to win back." Once he finished speaking he cut the call instantly.

Luyisa smiled back to Anna sweetly and asked her in concern, "Child! You look too thin. Are you not taking care of yourself!"

Anna went on and hugged her Aunt warmly, "Auntie, I missed you!"

"I missed you too! Why is your temperature high, are you running a fever? Maid! Call the doctor, didn't anyone notice that she was ill. Do you have to wait for me to fly over here to tell you what to do? Why am I..."
