Carnage In Another World

The monster went to attack Elian, but Adrian quickly opened his stat window.

Punching in his stat points, Adrian felt relieved as all his fatigue melt away, he always felt intoxicated by that feeling.

Closing his stat window, Adrian ran up the hill at top speed, attempting to close the gap between him and the demon.

Elian was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the massive demon. She had no time to cast a spell so, she ran towards the direction Adrian was coming from.

As the demon followed after Elian, the two archers nocked an arrow and fired it into the monsters rear. The creature released an ear piercing screech before changing its target to the archers, who by this time, had already started running and began notching another arrow.

Arthur and the last unwounded demon hunter, arrived by the archers side.

Elain let loose a fireball as Adrian ran past her. Moments after the fire ball hit its mark and exploded, launching the demon into the air.

As Adrian neared the demon, he opened his inventory and took out the bent sword. After closing the interface he threw the sword on the ground where the demon would land.

When it crashed to the ground, the bent sword sliced into is side, embedding itself between the monsters ribs. Groaning, the beast stood back up , as blood flowed out of its side. The blood gushing from the wound stopped and the bent sword was launched out of the demons rib cage like a bullet. The wound was still there, but the bleeding has stopped. Soon the mammoth sized monster charged towards Arthur and his group again.

The monstrous beast pounced, lunging nearly ten yards in a single moment. locking it enormous jaws around the torso of the remaining archer, who's screams quickly turn into gurgles as began choking of the blood endlessly flowing from his lips. The lower body of the unfortunate demon hunter fell lifelessly to the ground as the monster devoured his entire upper torso. After swallowing the archer the demons wounds began healing at a visible pace.

Adrian dashed over and sliced into the demons hind leg, in an attempt to cripple the beasts movement. To his dismay however, the wound healed quickly, although much slower than moments before. Adrian then decided to give the beast a good lashing, repeatedly striking the demon with the blunt side of his sword.

The creature gave a mighty swipe of its claws in an attempt to rid its-self of this annoyance.

When the strike was almost upon him, Adrian opened his inventory, and dodged slightly to the right before closing his inventory.

The demons claws slashed at empty space, confused for a moment before it felt a sharp pain. Its paw had been severed at the wrist. Blood splattered all around as it thrashed about in pain.

Adrian, jumped backwards immediately after disabling the beast. Coincidentally, avoiding most of the blood spraying around the battlefield.

The demon slowly edged towards the lower body of the archer from earlier.

Arthur noticing its movements shouted, "hurry and stop it! It's trying to heal again", he had already started running forward, but it was too late.

The demon lunged forward and swallowed the archers lower body whole. The bleeding stopped instantly, while its paw began to regrow. Moments later the demon was fully healed and standing arrogantly.

"raiga!", Elian shouted, as a thick bolt of electricity struck the pool of blood at the demon's feet. After casting the spell she dropped down to the ground, feeling exhausted from using too much of her mana.

Adrian could feel the static in the air. He watched the beast before him fall into the pool of blood. The demon seized about, frothing at the mouth[ note to self: Do Not get on elians bad side.] As soon as the demon stopped thrashing around, Adrian walked up to it and plunged his blade deep into the monsters skull. " double tap! ", Adrain exclaimed as he withdrew his sword from the monsters skull.

He then walked over to elian, who was drinking a small vial of a glowing blue liquid. He extended his hand to help her up.

Gripping Adrian's wrist tightly, Elian pulled herself up."Thanks." she said while wiping her mouth with the sleeve of her other arm.

"Glad that's over, that thing was a pain in the a.s.s."Arthur stated as he walked over and kicked its corpse.

"Yeah, that healing ability, was unexpected,'' Adrian replied. "The smaller ones didn't have it"

"that's only to be expected since they were most likely created as.e.x.u.a.lly. Demons are usually unique, one of a kind. Every once in a while a brood mother will cross over. Luckily, we caught it early, otherwise it would have evolved into a beast horde." Elian informed.

"That would have been a terrible outcome for sure" the only unharmed demon hunter left replied.

[so not only are there different ranks among the demons but different types as well. interesting...] Adrian thought. He walked over and stored the brood mother into his inventory before descending to the hill with large strides. "I'll collect the bodies" he shouted, to those behind him.

When he returned, Elian was searing the arm of the wounded demon hunter, who was now unconscious. "He's lost a lot of blood, I don't know if he'll make it. It doesn't look optimistic"

Adrian removed a health potion from his inventory and passed it over. "This should keep him alive right, at least until we get to town."

"It's still not a sure thing, but he'll have a better chance" Elian replied, as proceed to pour the glowing red liquid down the man's throat.

"Lets head back, we might still be able to get there before dark." Arthur said watching the sun, which was slowly setting on the horizon
