Daily Life Of A Ponytail Girl

Chapter 10 - Hibana Residence

It was evening at the Hibana Residence (AKA Yūi's home). After encountering Yami, she had decided to contact the others and told them to blow off the mission. After getting together again, they decided it was for the best to just call it a day and regroup the next day. She was currently cooking dinner for herself and her sister.

"I'm guessing today didn't end up as great as you hoped for, am I right?"

The sister in question was helping prepare the table for dinner.

"This whole vending machine thing did nothing but cause chaos across the school." Yūi responded while stirring the food in the pan. "When I find out whoever did this, I'm gonna hit them so hard with Liebenslight that they'll regret ever having done this!"

"Please don't get suspended from school for attacking another student. . ."

"Hmfp!" Yūi replied while pouting toward Saizen.

After serving the food and a short itadakimasu, the girls began eating their food.

"Tomorrow is Taco Thursday again right? You guys gonna have a fight with class 2-B again?" Saizen asked while gulping up food.

"Against them, it'd hardly be anything like a fight. They stand no chance against our prowess!"

Saizen giggled at her sister's confidence.

"Same time tho. . ." Yūi continued. "It might be a bit harder if our class is gonna be as empty as it was today. A lot of students were missing."

"Well, you know how things go right after break. A lot of people who weren't quite in the mood yet to come to school again this soon."

"Yeah there's always a few of them, sure, but seemed like this time it was quite excessive, almost makes me a bit worried. . . Oh well, only means more tacos for me tomorrow."

"Those worries sure didn't last long. . ."

After finishing dinner, the two started cleaning the table.

"By the way, mom said that some transfer student from abroad will be coming to this place sometime."

"And why do we have to be the ones to take them in? Couldn't mom and dad take them in at their place?"

Saizen stacked a few plates. "Apparently they're planning on going to some school near us, so I'm thinking that's why they're coming to us instead of then.

"Apparently they're part of our family overseas. I'm not sure how serious mom was about this, but she gave me the whole "We gotta take care of our family! spiel, so don't be surprised if someone suddenly shows up sometime in the future."

Suddenly Yūi started speaking in a dramatic tone. "I can't believe our dear mother would burden poor you with playing the role of alarm for yet another soul."

"Oh yeah, speaking of that!" Saizen dramatically turned to look at Yūi. "That whole fiasco this morning better not happen again! Next time, I'll just leave you behind and go to school solo!"

"Eek!"
