DBZ: Another One

Goku turned around. "Gohan." he said, "Take Piccolo and Leek, and get out of here whilst you can. My ship should still be here on the planet."

"But Dad…" Gohan replied.

"Just do it!" Goku shouted, "Go, before I lose all control over myself!" Gohan simply did as asked and tried to drag Piccolo and Leek away. Frieza looked at them and gave a look of disdain.

"You won't leave here alive!" Frieza called out. He formed a large ball in the palm of his hand. The purple energy blazed ever so brightly. In one swing, he shoved the ball into the ground. The area around him for miles suddenly erupted with lava and rocks in a massive explosion. The landscape around the two fighters was now a hellish waste of rock and magma. Frieza clicked his tongue. "I guess it didn't have enough power…no matter. You will all die sooner or later."

Frieza went to attack Gohan, but was blocked by Goku. "I'm the one you're fighting here." he told him, "I'll avenge everyone!"

"Then I won't hold back." Frieza replied, "Behold my full power. Haaaa!" All of a sudden, Frieza grew a little in size. His muscles bulked out intensely and his power shot up as a purple aura coated him. Without another second, he flew straight at Goku. It was blocked, and from it came a flurry of attacks on both sides. Goku and Frieza now stood on equal terms as their fight continued over the hellish landscape. Two balls of energy kept assaulting each other relentlessly.

On Gohan's side, there was stirring coming from Leek's body. Through one bloodied eye, she could barely see the fight as it progressed, but was in awe of Goku's amazing power. "Kill…" she whispered, pained, "Kill him, Goku…for all of us…"

"Don't speak, Miss Leek." Gohan told her, "You'll only waste your strength. I'll get you, and Mr Piccolo out of here." He continued to drag the two away towards Goku's ship. It took him a minute to get there with both fighters in tow. He threw them both through the door of the ship and went to look for Bulma.

It took a while of flying before Gohan spotted Bulma near what used to be a cave. She saw him, and called out to him. Gohan picked her up and began to fly toward the ship.

"What's happening?!" she cried out, "Why is the planet breaking apart?!"

"Dad is fighting Frieza." Gohan replied, "He told me to get you all off the planet. I already have Mr Piccolo and Miss Leek." He finally arrived at the ship. Bulma looked on in surprise at seeing Leek and Piccolo in their injured states. She quickly rushed into the ship as Gohan stood guard outside. "Vegeta's still out there." he said, "Where could he be?"

Before anything else happened, lightning once more went across a pitch black sky, and a huge being could be heard outside. Gohan could see the shape of the Namekian Dragon. He rushed out to see it. And all of a sudden, he could hear a voice in his head. A voice that he recognised.

"Use the last wish." it told him, "Send everyone on Namek to Earth, all except Frieza and Goku." Gohan knew what had to be done, and nodded his head. He rushed to reach the dragon and was soon at its base.

Meanwhile, the battle between Frieza and Goku was reaching its limits. Goku was gaining a clear advantage over the tired Frieza and had him on the ropes. Both of them could see the dragon, but Goku was not letting Frieza reach it under any circ.u.mstance. He continued to unleash a barrage of attacks at him and wore the overlord down.

After a few seconds, the dragon's eyes glowed red, and it suddenly vanished into thin air. Frieza looked so angry that he could snap at any moment. In his hand grew a purple saucer. He threw it straight at Goku, who swiftly dodged it. Goku blasted at Frieza, creating a huge smokescreen, and quickly dodged again as the saucer returned. It clawed straight through the blinded Frieza, cutting him in half. He dropped to the ground, too exhausted to move.

"So the rumours about you monkeys were true." Frieza called, "A Super Saiyan…ack." He coughed up a purple blast of blood that hit the floor and splattered, "I could not stop it in the end…"

Goku began to feel pity for the monster before him, and stuck out his hand. "Here." he said, transferring some of his energy to him, "Use this to escape the planet. Don't do anything evil again."

Using this last bit of energy that had been given to him, Frieza took his chance. He threw a purple ball straight at Goku. He reacted instantly to it.

"You fool!" he shouted as he fired a much stronger blast at Frieza. He stopped moving entirely, and Goku tried to find a way off the planet. He first made his way to his ship. Entering the ship, he found that it had stopped working. So he left and continued to search, but he found himself too late. In but a moment, the entire planet exploded in a massive flash of white.

Meanwhile back on Earth, Bulma and Gohan found themselves on the planet once again. Beside them was Leek and Piccolo, they were just barely alive. Surrounding them was many Namekians and at the centre of them, a very large Namekian who looked very old. Gohan recognised him and wandered over to him. Meanwhile, Bulma looked over the wounds that Piccolo and Leek had sustained. Piccolo looked like he would pull through after some rest, but Leek looked far worse. The bleeding wasn't stopping entirely, and she looked very close to death. It would be a miracle if she survived by normal medical means. No ordinary being could survive the punishment that she took. Gohan had returned to check her over, and thought quickly of a way to save her.

"Miss Leek." Gohan called, "Please stay alive until I get back. I'll try to get some Senzu Beans." He swiftly took off and flew at top speed. Whilst he was gone, Bulma was trying to stop the bleeding. She was tapped on the shoulder by a young Namekian, the same one who was speaking to the dragon on Namek.

"Let me look at her." the child told Bulma, "I might be able to help." Bulma stepped back whilst the Namekian looked over Leek's wounds. "I won't be able to patch up these wounds. But I can at least keep her from dying for the time being." He placed his hands over Leek and a green glow began to come out of them. Her body began to wince, and the wounds were coated in a jade energy that stopped the bleeding. Gohan returned sometime later with a small bag in his hand.

"I've got some Senzu Beans." he called, "Hang in there." Gohan knelt next to Leek and opened the bag. He picked out two small, brown beans and placed them into Leek's mouth. Then he started to move her jaw to chew them and made her swallow them. Suddenly, Leek's hands began to twitch, and she started to open her eyes. Her surprise came quickly.

"What?!" she exclaimed, "How are we back here?! Where's Frieza?! Where's Goku?!" Gohan calmed her down by putting his hand on her shoulder.

"We used the last wish of the dragon-balls to send everyone on Namek back here." he answered, "The only ones left on Namek were Frieza and Dad."

"Then what I saw was true…" Leek muttered under her breath, "The legend is true. But both he and Frieza are probably both dead…" She stood up, her wound still healing up. "My path is clear then." she told Gohan, "I need to become stronger, stronger than the legendary Super Saiyan. From what little I knew of Goku, he seemed determined to keep this place safe. I will honour him by protecting this world in his stead, that's the least that he deserves."

"So you'll stay here, Miss Leek?" Gohan asked. Leek took her hand off of her freshly healed stomach and nodded.

"I will." she replied, "And it will start with me becoming a Super Saiyan. I don't care how long it takes me."

"Don't get ahead of yourself." a familiar voice rang out. Vegeta stepped out and stared at Leek. "What Kakarot did was pure luck, nothing more. I am the Prince of all Saiyans, therefore it is *my* right to become the Super Saiyan. You're just a low class, you don't have the strength that it takes to become one."

"You know, Prince." Leek answered, "We Saiyans have a very special skill, you should know it well. Think about how much my strength has increased after such a near fatal situation. I'm already far stronger now, I can sense it. So I will become a Super Saiyan, one like you've never seen."

"Seems that you're set on this." Vegeta said, "Very well. Let's see if you have what it takes. I know that Kakarot isn't dead yet. I'm going to find him, and make him tell me how to become a Super Saiyan. If you aren't stronger by the time that I get back, I'll obliterate you."

"Challenge accepted." Leek retorted. With that, they went their separate ways. Leek flew off at top speed toward West City.
