Dream Life

Episode Forty:

Headed to the Adventurer Guild. The reason was to let Beatrice Labal, the beast magician, see Sharon's strength, and today Beatrice, Liddy, Sharon and I were going into the woods.

Sharon listened to Beatrice and seemed a little nervous, but she nodded honestly when I said, "Because I'm not a bad person," at least she stopped showing an anxious look.

Waiting in front of the guild came Beatrice, dressed in leather armor.

When she sees Sharon, she crouches in front of Sharon by saying, "It's a little lady," she says.

Sharon was frightened by the move, and Beatrice was apologizing to Sharon as she gave him a slightly sad look.

"I thought it was okay because Zach wasn't scared... sorry. I'm aware that I'm afraid of who I am..."

I put my hand on Sharon's shoulder and turned to Beatrice,

"Scared? Who said that? Hey, Sharon. You must have just been surprised, huh?

Sharon nods small at my words and says "I'm sorry" to Beatrice and bows her head.

Beatrice was staring at me with the look of not knowing what to say.

"I think Beatrice is beautiful. I'm not scared of anything just because I'm big."

I honestly said what I thought, but she came "Don't make fun of the grown-ups" and slapped "Yes" on my back. I cough as I try to relax, but Liddy turns to me in a grumpy way saying, "I haven't played in forever."

I honestly apologized and confirmed my plans for today with Beatrice.

Beatrice had made a serious look to mislead the doozy she had just done.

"I'll show you Sharon's strength today. Not that I don't believe what Zach says, but I need to see it with these eyes. So hunting in the near field today"

Beatrice's plan was to look for demons around a relatively less dangerous nearby field, and if she saw her strength and thought she deserved a hindsight, she would go back to the guild and go through the registration process.

Apparently, I was anxious to see Sharon.

Certainly you wouldn't expect a lady sharon to be a force for war. But even today Beatrice secretly thought it would come as a surprise.

From the Alliance to the North Forest, an hour or so later, I found about ten dressed opponents, killer bees (killer hornets) flying for me and Sharon.

The bees were trying to get us out of the left to the right about twenty meters in front of us, but I didn't notice this one because I found it first.

I smiled at Beatrice and said, "Just the right guy." She looked incredible and said, "You know what I mean? The target is a killer hornet," he whispered.

"I'm sure he's a dangerous opponent for a normal adventurer. But for the three of us, it's a duck."

Beatrice said she still said something, but she seemed to brace herself that ten killer hornets could do something with herself and Liddy.

I whisper to Sharon, "Let's go with a tornado."

She nodded at it too.

We got up and the two of us started casting a Tornado Slash spell.

Killer Hornet noticed us standing up, letting us make a feather called Bombun, and headed this way.

"" It is the god of the wind (Wentus), who brings many winds. Give me a rough tornado, a raging blade. I will not give you the power of my life. Tear my enemies apart! Blade Tornado Slash! ""

When me and Sharon finished casting the spell at the same time, two small tornadoes, about two metres in diameter, appeared in the woods. The tornado winds up grass and tree leaves, while heading towards the killer hornet.

Did the bees instinctively feel dangerous, splitting left to right and trying to avoid the tornado? But that was the way it was supposed to be. When my tornado turned right and Sharon's tornado changed needles to the left, the bees lost their way.

If you are an intelligent demon, you will change direction and escape, but the insect-shaped demon, which moves by instinct, comes at full speed trying to get through the edge of the tornado, the Hurricane. This was the habit of this demon that I realized during several fights.

As the bees approach the tornado, they are drawn in one after the other and chopped into vacuum blades. In the end, none of the killer hornets that had ten could come through the tornado. When the tornado disappeared in about thirty seconds, me and Sharon retrieved the Demonic Crystal Stone while stabbing a stop at Killer Hornet.

Finish collecting the Demonic Crystal Stone and join Beatrice and Liddy. There was a figure of Beatrice solidifying with a flashy look.

I said, "Sharon's got a lot of strength, too, right?," Beatrice said in a plundering voice,

"Oh, you're right, you're smarter than a juxtaposed sorcerer"

"Then you can sign up," he says to Beatrice, who is still relieved. She just nodded.

Once back in the city, he headed to the Adventurers Guild to register for Sharon's Adventurers.

When I tried to register Sharon, Tina at the reception gave me a report about Terry's violent behavior yesterday. I wasn't very interested, but since I was supposed to sue, I decided to listen to the report once and for all.

The summary of the report was as follows:

Terry, who was actually raped, is fitted with a collar of slaves and fined a thousand C (krona) (= one million yen). The fine will be collected in the form of a deduction from the reward and will continue to be collared until it is paid off. A collar of slaves, but a magic tool that can cause suffering if you do not comply with orders, and is generally a tool to prevent slaves from turning against you. Terry puts it on this time, but he didn't fall into slavery. They say it's to force him with a collar so he doesn't cause further damage to the victim with resentment. Of course, drinking, which is the cause of this one, is forbidden by the collar until it is paid off.

As for Terry's party members, everything that was there needs to be collared in the same way, three months sobriety and 20% of the reward in between should be paid as a fine.

They're going to give half the fine to me, the victim, but honestly, I don't care because I didn't get hurt. However, I am willing to ask because I am in favor of putting moxibustion on a guy who cannot drink clean.

This time it was not a fight between adventurers, but the average guest, which is also sometimes referred to as a child opponent, was harmless, but rather severely punished.

Even so, I feel it's mild to say that it's only a million yen fine for attempted injury, but he said it was done with this degree of punishment because Terry, the perpetrator, is a young man in the seventh degree.

This takes into account what is termed an attempt, and there is a strong aspect that it gave the opportunity for reorganisation. Of course, if the rank rises, the punishment will be even tougher, and if you are above the fourth grade, which is said to be first-rate, you will be removed from the Alliance immediately and you will be fined a great deal. Of course, if you kill someone or cause a huge injury, they drop you into criminal slavery regardless of your grade. Although this is not limited to the Adventurer Guild.

After listening to Terry and the others from Tina, I made Sharon's registration. After that, I put out ten Demon Crystal Stones on the counter equivalent to the seventh level, the Murder Bee (Killer Hornet), and had me and Sharon complete the requisition process.

It's the crusade result before Sharon signed up for the Adventurer Alliance, so technically, it doesn't count toward the number of requests accomplished. However, only Doctus here is special and can receive afterwards, so we can count on fulfilling the request. Of course, too old a crusade result is impossible, but if it's about a day's time difference, they're supposed to accept it.

As a result, me and Sharon got promoted to ninth grade.

Then we go back into the woods and the four of us hunt demons.

With the addition of Beatrice, our party's fighting power has increased dramatically. Especially with two avant-gardes, my burden has been considerably reduced.

That Beatrice's fighting power, but what I saw on the training field, it seemed, was just one end of my strength. He freely manipulates the long spear on the tip of his ear, and if he is a small demon, he breaks both with an attack that slashes and rips like Hulbert or Grave. Also, against a large demon, he was piercing the steeple with an exact poke.

Even the defensive rock pig (Rockbore), who would have slipped quite a bit if we were alone, took him down with just one blow.

When asked about the level on his way home, he found that he was at level 51, the magician.

Thinking I shouldn't be able to win upside down, it meant celebrating me and Sharon's adventurer registration and meeting Beatrice with the last rock pig I defeated as my main dish.

Around 3pm we went back to the city and sold the Demon Crystal Stone in our guild before heading home.

It takes the form of inviting Beatrice into the house, and Sharon, the housewife of this house, starts her work in a great hurry.

Liddy goes to buy bread, booze, etc., and Beatrice dismantles the pig.

Speaking of which, I used my magic powers to water and boil the water, making ice.

(That's just tough to brew a bath by yourself after going into the woods. You should just keep the water in the night before. Then I don't use so much magic...)

When I finished boiling the bath, Beatrice finished dismantling the rock hog and brought me a chunk of meat to the kitchen.

"It wasn't that big, but we've got a lot of extra meat. What are we gonna do?

The rock hog she had tailored was a small one weighing about 100kg. A great deal of clutter in the woods, discarding unnecessary parts, but nevertheless a considerable amount of meat was removed.

We often distribute excess meat to the neighborhood, so I asked her to "distribute it to the neighborhood, so cut it properly".

I left about 20 kg of Avara meat and shoulder meat and Momo meat for us, and I went to distribute the rest to the neighborhood.

When meat was distributed to several houses, mainly neighbours Littlef and Novello, he said in return that he received fruits, smoked meat, stews that he had put in a pan, etc.

Somehow, I went back home thinking it was like an old Japanese neighborhood dating and smiling.

By then, Sharon had finished making a simple vegetable stir-fry, and even added rose meat filled with salt and spices to the warmed oven.

Liddy also came back with bread and wine jars. And I said, "Are you ready for a bath? I've heard."

When I said, "It's over," I turned to the bathroom with a happy face.

Beatrice listened to our conversation as she sat in the chair at the table and said, "Do you have a bath? I've heard."

"It's the bath I made, but it feels good for you. You should come in after Liddy."

She shrugged, "Where's the big house?"

Our bath is made pretty big, so Beatrice will be fine. This is because I made it bigger so that my father and his squire would be okay with visiting the house, but I didn't think it would be useful in a place like this.

Liddy came up from the bath.

It's just a glossy outfit with simple clothes like a bathrobe woven in its wings, but no man, except me, so I don't care about him at all. At first I had trouble with the place of my eyes, but I've gotten completely used to it lately.

When I ask her, "Tell her how to get into Beatrice," she worships, "Let me have just one cold beer."

The trick was so cute, I said, "It's just one drink," and I poured it into the jock from the small beer barrel Liddy had bought, and I gave it to him with the magic of a pseudoperche effect, chilled to the crisp.

She receives it as if she loves it and drinks it up all at once. I think that look smells like my father, but I didn't point that out.

Beatrice has several surprise looks on her face today, but she sends them to the bathroom saying, "Because I'm going to give them a drink in the bathroom".

Sharon's cooking was almost complete, and all he had to do later was take a bath and start eating, but Beatrice doesn't come out inside. On the contrary, Liddy, who was supposed to just explain, didn't come back either.

I wondered what was going on and tried to speak to the two of them in front of the bathroom. But my voice leaked from inside, so I accidentally stood up and listened.

From inside, I heard Liddy's voice saying, "True, what's in it, on its chest," and Beatrice's slightly rushed voice saying, "Don't touch it on your own.

(You're not supposed to be lily. Let's decide we didn't ask and tell them to be quick)

"Me and Sharon are still here! Don't play with me. Get out of here!

When I scream like that, I'm like, "If you come in with me, too. You'll see something amazing," Liddy said cheerfully.

You're not supposed to get drunk with just one beer, but apparently you're a little drunk.

Liddy's back, so when you ask him if he'll be drunk,

"I just had a drink at the stall. 'Cause I'm having dinner with the first person I saw yesterday. We need to drink..."

I forgot about Liddy's anthropophobia because Beatrice was a woman.

I said, "I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking about Liddy," he apologized, cheerfully. "I don't hate that girl," so it's okay. I just wanted a little momentum, "he laughed.

Beatrice comes out of the bath, but the bathrobe for the guests is supposed to be amazing, and I have a problem with the way my eyes work. Whatever, I was trying to fit my collar in front of me, but it didn't close completely and I could clearly see the valley of my chest. The length is also critical and healthy thighs pop into my eyes. Yellow and black striped tiger tails swayed from behind the bathrobe.

I mobilized all my mental powers to keep an eye on her.

But it looked like it was embarrassing, and Beatrice blushed a little too, saying, "Change into the clothes you were wearing," and pulled into the back.

By the time Sharon next headed to the bathroom, Beatrice was back.

As she deludes the situation just now,

"And that's amazing. I've never taken a bath before, but I didn't think it felt so good."

I said, "I guess so. This is all I can't stop doing," he replies, giving her a cold beer.

She was surprised to be able to have a cold beer this past October, and put a jock in over 500cc at once.

"Puha. I can see why Lydiane worshipped just one drink. You're so good."

You still don't drink enough, you look at me with a look like you might want something, but I shook my neck to the side and said, "Wait till you eat" and received an empty jock.

After Sharon leaves, I take a bath, but the water is considerably less than usual.

Exactly when they get in that physique, soak them in the water and heal their fatigue, hoping they don't run out of water.

(Is he a new companion... No, I don't know yet. Liddy seems to be okay somehow, but I also have to ask Sharon how he feels. As far as I'm concerned, I want her to stay because I can get to the back of the woods... and of course, one of the reasons I'm saying she's a wild beauty. I'll honestly admit that...)

I was making excuses for myself for some reason, soaking in the water.

When I got out of the bath, I went straight into the feast.

Line up the hemming from the neighborhood with Sharon's cooked dishes, and finally put the main dish, the pork oven grill, on the table.

Me and Sharon put ice in the grape juice, Liddy drinks cold wine, and Beatrice drinks cold beer.

Beatrice was definitely praising this life while eating.

"The bath is amazing, but I like the cold liquor. There's plenty of ice, and you live more luxuriously than a poor aristocratic mansion?

When I laughed bitterly at a place called the Mansion of the Poor Noble, she immediately bowed her head and apologized.

"Oh, excuse me. I didn't mean your parents."

"No, I don't mind. My house is poor, but my life is rich. Whatever it is, I have a big bath, and I have a brewery."

In fact, the Lockhart family is not as poor today as it used to be. By Scotch's sales, I don't have that much trouble with gold because I have a steady cash income. Other knights need to hire mercenaries and adventurers to exorcise demons, and even more noble people to hang out with each other, so a good amount of cash disappears. Meanwhile, in the village of Rasmore, demons are handled by vigilantes, who spend little cash because there is no noble territory nearby and they do not associate with the court.

If we look only at the lives of the villagers, we think that they are more peaceful, have a higher standard of living and have a higher level of happiness than the inhabitants of the great nobility.

Finish your meal, finish cleaning up, and time will flow slowly.

Liddy and Beatrice were quietly sipping their liquor.

I wanted to ask Beatrice something.

When I say, "Can I ask you one thing," she nods quietly.

"Going behind the woods, you're going to the mountain hem of the Saeum Mountains. How strong is the demon going to be when we get there?

As she thinks a little, "Right," she muttered,

"You know there are cluttered demons in the woods, right? It's basically the same demon in the woods, but it would be easy to tell if you thought strength would rise to one rank..."

Her explanation is that there are various demons in the woods, such as beasts, insects, plants, ghosts, and necromancers, but the mountains are basically made of the same composition.

However, it can be said to all demons that in the mountains the strength of demons is one rank higher, and some more powerful demons like dragon breeds and giants. It is said that all parties entering the mountains from the forest must be at least level five, and at least level thirty-five.

Beatrice's opinion was slightly different, at least at level forty or more, and that he would need to be accompanied by a brilliant magician capable of an overall attack.

"Right. Which means we're still in the woods."

Beatrice looked a little strange,

"What are you in a hurry for? If it's that strength in your year, it's too much power. I'm twenty years old even if it takes another ten years. Maybe we should just get stronger."

I laughed bitterly, "I'm not in a hurry,"

"At least five years from now, by the time I graduate, I want my magic level to be fifty, my swordsmanship level to be more than forty. With the way it's going up now, there's going to be 40 magic and late thirty swordsmanship. So I want to fight a little stronger enemies."

Liddy and Sharon know my secrets, so they don't say anything, but Beatrice, who knows nothing, can hear me.

"At the age of fifteen, do you want to become a court magic master? Swordsmanship is also more than forty shoulders to shoulder with veteran mercenaries...... I think you could do it, but there's a reason to rush that far...... no, don't ask now. I don't think that's what you're gonna say to me just now."

groaning to convince himself with a slightly lonely look,

"I got it. I'll help you if I can. Leave it to this Beatrice."

I laugh so that I can get out of my way, but I narrow my eyes and say, "But if you do something unscrupulous, I'll punish you."

The day opened there, and Beatrice went back to the inn with regret.

He looked up at our house on his way home and seemed to be whining about something, but didn't hear it very well.
