Chapter 19 - Treasure Hunt!

Treasure Hunt? It was easier than I thought.

I looked at the Karl and asked, "Is there a time limit?"

He looked at me and answered, "Yes! You will have a week to search for treasures! And it starts now."

I walked towards the biggest tree I could see and sat on the branches. Then I located a red-billed quelea bird sitting in the near tree. Then I conjured my second ghost which is, "Peeping Ghost". This ability is mix between conjuration and manipulation. It has a simple ability of possession of small animals. I could also posses powerful animals but I would have to spend my lifespan for it.

Why anyone would try and posses a small animal you may ask?

One of the reasons is for scouting. Many animals have advantage over humans as they could fly, swim in oceans and could dig deep underground. I could use those advantages using this ability. Other reason is affinity to nature. Affinity with nature is connected to sensitivity for aura. Wild animals are more perceptive in that regard than humans, and may learn Zetsu spontaneously.

As I have immortal soul I could take parts of it and put into my ghosts. In normal circ.u.mstances if ghost self destructed it would damage your soul but as I have immortal one it doesn't effect me.

When I posses an animal I would open up all of its Aura Nodes enabling that animal to learn Nen. Every ghost I conjured has part of my soul and my knowledge, so I could use it to quickly increase its aura. And as the animals are closer to the nature it would yield more returns.

After I open up an animals Aura Nodes and train it I could return "Peeping Ghost" to my body and taking all of the aura it acc.u.mulated. As a bonus I could also strengthen my senses as many animals have strong senses. When I posses an animal I share its five senses with my main body. Animals strong senses also strengthen my senses when possessed.

Sadly I couldn't control an awakened animal for too long as they rapidly die of. I could use Ten to keep them alive but at the end they keep dying. I could control them for 30 day maximum. After which they all die.

And greatest advantage of my "Peeping Ghost" is that it could peep. I could use it to peep at girls when I shouldn't.

After I possessed red-billed quelea i controlled it to fly and scout for the treasures. After couple of minutes red-billed qualea spotted a blue tiger guarding a sword. As I was a sword user myself I was interested in that sword.

I ran to that place and arrived there after couple of minutes. I used Shu on my sword and cut that tiger in half. Then I went to the sword and held it in my hands. It was a katana with pinkish white blade and brown handle. When i applied a Shu to that blade and cut the nearest tree I easily cut thru it. That's when I wanted this katana. I again controlled red-billed quelea and tried searching for any other blade treasures but found none.

I just killed an animal that was guarding a ring treasure made by expensive gemstone and decided to give that treasure to the examiner.

I possessed two more red-billed quelea and made them train. And I went to explore this island. Many other participants evaded me whenever they saw me so I was bored whole time. Whole third stage was boring for me as Hisoka already left the exam.

The whole second stage was I sat on a tree branch and trained. I remembered my brothers and my adopted mother, and I promised myself I would visit them after the Hunter exam.

After 7 days third stage ended and everyone returned to where we started. From 174 people who started this stage only 80 or more people returned. And even some of them were heavily injured. But all the 50 treasures were found I gave them ring but didn't give the sword. Like that 49 people passed the third stage of Hunter exam.
