"Hmmm place the archers at this area…" A deep discussion is currently ongoing at the guild. At what seems to be a meeting room, countless individuals is encircling what seems to be a map of the whole town placing pieces and symbols in it.

Three representatives of the best adventurer parties currently in the town, the guild master and a heavily armored man is currently leading the discussion.

"The chances our reinforcements will arrive is only at dawn and I am not confident that we will survive at that time… but I believe we can still manage if we exploit these particular areas." The heavily armored man said.

"Van, what about the civilians?" Flama asked the heavily armored middle-aged man.

"Their safely at the fort now, there were some stragglers that did not comply in leaving but all of them was strangely found to be dead after a few minutes when we rechecked them." Van, the acting head of the town and leader of its military force seriously said.

"Did their corpses had traces of bites or missing pieces? What are their standing?" A 'handsome' tomboyish looking woman asked. This woman is Agnes the leader of the 'Swan's Grace' a Gold ranked party.

"Nay, there were no traces of defilement of their corpses. Only a deep wound on their necks was found that was suspected to be slashed by something like a dagger. What shocked the soldiers that checked the bodies was that there were no signs of struggle. Also most of them are ruffians on the streets, mostly thinking to do some twisted things while where busy fighting the hoard." The military man said.

With such a startling piece of news that an unknown assailant was busy cleaning the dregs of society, the meeting room was silent till Flama ordered for the corpses to be turned to ashes not wanting any corpses to be used as a meat shield by turning them to undead.

*Bang!!*

The door was swung open suddenly and a soldier panickly entered the room.

"I had an important report sir!!" The soldier cried out suddenly amidst his paling face and tired body. Gesturing him to continue, the soldier gasp for air for a bit and told a startling piece of news.

"S-some of the corpses found was actually monsters or monsters in disguise!!" The soldiers' news made all of the individuals gasp at the implications of this intelligence.

"*groan* so it's those demonic bastards is pulling the strings this time?" Flama angrily said.

"It must had been due to the Hero Summoning that they are starting to act now…" Van seriously said, earning him a serious nod from the people around him.

"Well they were outplayed by us they must had been seriously pissed." Flama teasingly said lightening the atmosphere of the room for a bit.

"Well we better thank that mysterious 'guy' we have. Sooner or later we might have someone stab us in the back suddenly." A lanky handsome man said. While this man is Axal leader of the 'Wind's Call' leader of a recently promoted Gold ranked party.

"There's no need." An unknown female voice suddenly entered the room. Looking at the direction of the voice, they saw a blond well-endowed woman dragging what seems to be a corpse and threw it to the table.

"Guheee~?!" The 'corpse' wretchedly cried out, startling the people around the room.

"T-theresa… who is this gentleman perhaps?" Flama hesitantly asked looking at the smoldering Theresa.

"Yamada… a prick that better be thrown to the dogs." Theresa bluntly said.

"How rude~ sister-in law~. I think you better thank me for picking my and brother's route or you would have not met him~." Yamada huffed in annoyance while trying to straighten his clothes.

"Tch, wanna die!?" Sake threateningly said unsheathing her claymore. In panic Yamada, raised his arm in surrender.

"...Uhuh. Well glad you're here now Theresa. Now returning to what is on hand, what did you mean that there was no need to thank our mystery man?" Van said eyeing the bored looking Yamada.

"Cause there's no need, the prick is already in front of you." Theresa angrily said pointing at Yamada earning him a suspicious look from the individuals in the room.

"Ha!? Preposterous! How can a weak looking young man do those impossible feats!?" The last representative of the adventurers, a buff looking man named Laz angrily said.

"What~… wanna play old man?' Yamada provokingly said making Laz fume in rage.

"Stop it Laz, and calm down the brats behind you." Flama angrily said to Laz, pointing at the adventurers who had angrily unsheathed their weapons.

"Tch, count yourself lucky brat. We of the 'War Totems' are magnamous individuals." Laz huffed and ordered his fellow compatriots to stand down.

"Whatever~ hurry up and start planning guys~ It's around two hours left before those guys at the forest will appear. Oh and by the way the last adventurers you have sent at the forest is arriving right about… now!" "Ivan and his Silver-ranked party 'Silent Wind' had arrived!" Yamada said and as if on cue, one of the adventurers outside rushed inside and announced the arrival of Ivan and his cohort, startling the people inside and looked at Yamada in a new light.

"Bring them in." Flama said and in a few moments, the female adventurer and Link had entered the room. Noticing the missing Ivan, the female adventurer said;

"Ivan, is currently heavily wounded and is being treated by the others, guild master."

"Good, I heard your party was the only ones who penetrated the enemy lines. What did you see and tell us in detail." Van said emitting a serious look.

"… It was hell. Thousands of goblins was gathering under what seems to be a Goblin commander. Garagas packs where being chained and tamed by them, while a large tribe of orcs was in there. There were a lot of Kobolds also. We also see some gigantic monsters which had the characteristics of ogres and some which seems to be trolls. There were also some harpies and wyverns flying around, if Link did not warn us quickly enough we would had been killed. There were also black robed monsters which had the scent of rotting corpses, maybe undead or heretical necromancers." With each words, each individuals was paling by the minute.

"…And the leader?" Flama hesitantly said while heavily gripping her staff.

"…W-we merely got a glimps and it sensed us… A giant of a man wearing a black heavy knight armor and was carrying a huge sword." With her words, a huge bang was heard and they looked at Theresa who was seething in anger.

"What is it Theresa, do you know what monster is it?" Flama asked, startled.

"…Was there a huge gash in the right shoulder armor of that thing?" Theresa angrily said.

"Y-yes… how did you know ma'am!?" The female adventurer startling said.

"Haaah… so that thing was still alive." Theresa suddenly cooled down and sighed ruefully.

"Theresa… we need your word here; do you know what that thing is?" Van said angrily.

"Shut up idiot, I know… I just… did not thought I would confront that thing again." Theresa said trying to catch her breath. After a few minutes, they saw Theresa regained her composure and she started talking about it.

"It was one of those expedition's in taking back one castle we had at the north. It was overrun by monsters and the allied armies requested for a group of skilled adventurers to infiltrate it through a hidden pathways and kill the leading monster in it. We were the only adventurer party crazy enough to accept the task to do it and with the huge cash we will get, we were practically motivated to do it.

But it was hard, the monsters actually already knew of the pathways so even though the defenses were thinned out by the distractions the armies did, there were still a ton of monsters there. But we persevered, till we got to the throne room and met that thing… It was strong, very strong. Our leader, Caren barely can keep up with the thing even with our support. We merely got a lucky blow in it that damaged that thing's armor and heavily wounded it.

We realized that the thing is actually a walking corpse, an undead and so realizing that the necromancer who may had raised it was somewhere hidden. We retreated, before cursing the thing's wound using a powerful blessing our priest had so it would not regenerate and even worsen it's wound till it succ.u.mbed to death.

A few weeks later, the castle was successfully taken down. But the thing was already gone, we searched for it but it was gone like it did not exist. There was no case that they did not believe it because of what our look when we returned to the camp.

To be honest, we barely survived with an inch of our lives. Sig was nearly bisected by that thing, we barely saved the poor oaf, now his back at his hometown retired and busy attending his farm and kids. Caren, nearly had her head and body separated somehow got pissed and promised to hunt down the thing and now still traveling at the north trying to find it.

Did not expect it to ran away here though. While me… heh~. I was slightly traumatized with the war machine so I retired." Sake concluded, ending the tale. Looking at the faces of the individuals, they already started to pale and shiver a bit. Yet, Yamada who was resting at the side of a wall merely squinted his eyes and looked sharply at Sake with a deep look.

"…Then can you still fight it?" Flama asked.

"Yep, I still need a piece of that thing and I needed to still crack its skull." Sake cheerfuly said.

"Then… I think we need to put you in a plan of ours and that boy over there. Would you please come closer?" Van said gesturing at the two and the meeting continued…

Yamada strikes again!

Sake successfully arrived at the guild and noticed the crowd of adventurers listening to Flama's secretary doing a very passionate speech from the second floor. Yamada was quick to notice listening to her and looking up.

"Hmm? Yamada your already here now huh?" – Sake

"Yeah… been waiting for you for just a few minutes. – Yamada

"Then? What ya lookin' with that deep look of yours?" – Sake

"I'm feeling motivated hearing the lady's words…" – Yamada

'Uhuuh~? No wait… this angle!?' – Sake

*Bang!!*

"Gyaaaaaaah!!!" – Yamada

"You bastard! You're just checking out her u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r you prick!" – Sake
