FATELESS: A Boy’s Bonds

Life seems to have it out for Zavis Invidia.

Treated with contempt by his village and neglected by his family, the boy has retreated into a reclusive lifestyle. He dreams of being swept away from their destitute northern village, to pursue a fantastical life of might and magic.

Everything changes when Zavis experiences a brush with death, awakening a magical potential he had no knowledge of. Beaten and bleeding, a savior appears before him: a mysterious spirit who promises to make all of Zavis’ dreams come true. One contract later, and Zavis is thrust into a grand conspiracy that few are privy to—one that concerns the true nature of the world, as well as his family’s future.

Zavis learns that he is one of the Fateless, children who are born disconnected from fate. But with this freedom comes a curse, as the master of fate seeks to purge him from its story. To protect everything he holds dear, Zavis must face his inner demons and grow strong enough to win against fate itself, beginning a journey into a world far larger than he'd ever imagined.
