Cipher was silently doing his arm exercise with a huge dumbbell in each hands.

"The result has arrived from U.A. High School."

That's when a letter suddenly entered the far end of his vision. It flew towards his face at incredible speed but he managed to grab it, just centimetres away from his face.

In the process, he let his hold on both dumbbell loose and it dropped down to the ground. Seconds later, the 200 kg dumbbells cracked the entire floor around him.

"....."

"....."

"It is not my fault, old man."

Cipher spat out before Sorahiko could tell him anything. He then casually turned his attention to the letter which seemed to be holding something, and curiously observed it.

"Just open it."

Sorahiko exclaimed out with some pressure. And it did its job in annoying Cipher.

"Calm down, old man. The result is already obvious. And the floor is your goddamn fault."

Shaking his head, he turned his attention back to the letter and slowly teared the piece of paper cover apart. A circular object fell down from inside the letter.

"A projector."

Cipher picked up the projector and went up to the table. He placed the projector on the table and clicked the button on it.

"Congratulation, Cipher. You have passed the recommendation exam with flawless skill."

A hologram of a mouse like human emerged from the projector. He had white fur all over his body and a scar over his right eye. Though his eye still seemed to work fine.

'So, this guy is the principal of U.A. One of the extremely rare case of an animal manifesting a quirk. He is so similar to me yet so different at the same time.'

Sorahiko arrived beside Cipher and also looked at the hologram happily. Cipher glanced at the old man for a split second and knew that his anger for the destroyed floor was non existent from the very start.

"And of course, You have been accepted to U.A. High School. I would like to invite you to your hero academia with open arms. Congratulations once again, future hero."

Nezu showed a wide smile and the hologram ended right there. Cipher turned towards Sorahiko and flatly spoke.

"See, just like I said."

Sorahiko snorted and turned his face away. A single drop of tear trailed down his cheeks as he was happy that Cipher had finally taken the first step to his future.

"Don't get full of yourself. There are a lot of things you have to learn before becoming a hero."

The old man retorted, but he miserably failed to hide away his happiness. He didn't care about it and jumped out of the room without further ado.

The moment Sorahiko reached outside of Cipher's view, he proceeded to wipe away the drop of tear and formed a smile in relief.

Two days later

"Was there a need to hurry so much. According to what I know, U.A. High School won't start till three weeks."

Cipher sighed as he placed the last of his training equipment on the floor. This floor, the whole apartment with 4 rooms was brought by Sorahiko as soon as they arrived in Tokyo. And it was going to be the place where Cipher will stay while going to U.A. High School.

"What are you saying? You should quickly get used to Tokyo. It is after all a crowded place which you hate more than anything. I can't have you attacking someone just because you were annoyed."

Sorahiko jumped to the sofa and laid his body on it. He then closed his eyes and proceeded to doze off.

'Ugh. I don't want to admit it but what he said is true. I should get used to this place as soon as possible.'

Cipher looked back to the time he came to Tokyo to give his exam. At that time, he was overwhelmed by the number of people on the train and then the streets within the city. He had to try his best to suppress his d.e.s.i.r.e to use his quirk and push all the people aside from his path.

"So, I can understand why I am here this quick. But why the heck are you here?"

"What? You don't want me here. I was the one who brought this apartment for you. Even if you live here from now on, the one that will own it is none other than me. I can do whatever I want in this place."

Sorahiko exclaimed out with his eyes still closed but he had a smug look on his face. Seeing this smug, Cipher gritted his teeth in annoyance but he couldn't say anything.

After some seconds, he turned away from the annoying small and old man, and picked up two dumbbells from the corner of the room.

"You should sleep in the bed, old man. I am going to stay up the whole night."

Cipher didn't wait for Sorahiko to respond and left the apartment swiftly. He then jumped down the first floor and looked at the house he was going to stay from now on.

He nodded his head, satisfied with the house that was only two story high. He liked it as less height meant that less people were going to live in it, and less people meant less annoyance. Moreover, the only resident living in this place right now was him alone; and the old man, but it was probably for a short span of time.

Cipher then turned his sight to the moon and jumped up to the roof of the house. He sat on the edges of the roof and started lifting the 150 kg dumbbells.

'It has been a while since I stayed awake. Has it been two months or is it more?'

Cipher thought as he lifted the dumbbells while looking at the full moon shining in the sky.

Not many who meets Cipher for the first time knows this, but he is nocturnal. Ever since he was a child, he had difficulty sleeping at night than in the day, unlike all the other people.

But staying awake during the night when everyone is asleep, Cipher never felt the feeling of loneliness. When he was a child his family were always there with him, accompanying him in the darkness. And now, he has already forgot what loneliness felt like.

It was at the age of 10 that Cipher lost his family. After that incident, He considerably grew up, both physically and mentally. It was also during this time he lost most of his emotions from his face and especially, from his conscience.

But after meeting with Sorahiko and living with him, he managed to regain some of his lost emotions back. He was also forced to try his best to be able to sleep during the night and stay awake during the day, as the old man didn't turn out to be nocturnal like him.

He struggled a lot at first but his struggle paid off as he managed to sleep well even during the night. And he did that very thing. He started sleeping during the night and staying awake during the day, like every regular humans do.

But there were always some nights he considered as an exception. And whether it is a coincidence or not, every single night he considered as an exception happened to be a night of a full moon.

Part of a reason may be because, during the night, especially when the moon is present, Cipher became more docile or malicious depending on the events that occurred previously.

'It seems like the moon is still the same as always.'

6 hours later

The sun was beginning to rise in the distant sky. Cipher was still sitting on the edges of the roof, looking at the full moon which was slowly but surely disappearing from his vision.

"Hmm. So you were here after all? Were you looking at he moon all this time?"

Sorahiko jumped up to the roof and landed beside Cipher. He then proceeded to sit on the edges of the roof and look at the sky as well. Cipher glanced at him for a split second and spoke out.

"Not so much. I was lifting up these dumbbells for most of the night."

Cipher exclaimed out as he lifted the dumbbells in his hands and showed it to the old man beside him.

This marked the end of their conversation. The two people, one old and one young remained silent as both of them looked at the sun that was finally rising up in the distant sky.

Their silence was unfortunately short-lived. A truck suddenly drove to the front of the house, making loud noises the whole time. Then, some people swiftly got down from within it and started unloading heavy furnitures one after another.

'F.u.c.k.'

Seeing them do their works, Cipher mentally cursed out and spoke with a shaky voice.

"Don't tell me someone is coming to live in this place."

"That is a good thing, Cipher. You will get to be friends with your neighbours."

"....."

Cipher sighed and decided to just give up arguing with the old man. But still, he couldn't help but grumble for the last time.

"This is so annoying."
