Fenrir: The Wolf Overlord

Today was a day full of surprise for Cipher. He never expected to meet All Might after all this time. Moreover, he never expected to find that All Might has become weak and even find out about his weakness. Therefore, he was surprised and satisfied at the same time.

'I guess I have never felt this satisfied in my whole life.'

After the short reunion, he casually travelled back to the market and bought a large amount of food. The food would last for only two weeks or less because of his huge appetite. But it would probably last until his high school started. So, he saw the quantity of the food as the b.a.r.e minimum.

After that, Cipher silently walked towards his house, with numerous bags in his hand, and a genuine but crooked smile on his face.

He was trying hard not to think of anything that will make him annoyed. He still wanted to know this new feeling, which he had probably forgotten a long time ago.

Unfortunately, everything would have turned fine in his life, if things just worked out like he wanted them to do.

As soon as Cipher reached the front of his apartment, he couldn't help but flinch from what he saw.

There, a blue bag was hung up on the handle of his door. He recognized it as soon as he saw it. It was the bag that the annoying frail girl showed him in the morning.

'That girl...'

Realizing what she did, he visibly hesitated in his place. After some time, he clicked his tongue in annoyance and mild anger. He took the bag out from the handle and placed it on the floor. He then picked up the numerous bag he brought with him and walked inside his apartment.

After some time, he came out of his apartment and locked the door once again. He then picked up the blue bag from the floor and placed it on the door handle, in the same position as it was before, and walked away.

Cipher had not even bothered to take a look at what was placed inside the bag. But he didn't even need to. He wasn't foolish. He could easily guess what it contained.

'That annoying girl did something unnecessary.'

Cipher thought as he jumped upto the roof without making a single noise. He then proceeded to lay his body on the flat surface of the roof.

'Now that I think about it, where is that girl?'

He tried to sniff the air but he stopped at the last second. Her whereabouts should mean nothing to him. Realizing this, he brought his hands to his face and he sighed out in an unusually tired way.

'....What am I thinking?'

He proceeded to close his eyes and he decided that he will just sleep out on this roof today. After all, the roof was quite peaceful because there was no door leading to this place. So, he was sure the girl won't be able to bother him in this place.

But the main reason was because he didn't know how to accept the bag of ingredients that he got from Yui.

Cipher will never want to admit it, but he was basically running away from the thoughts of her kindness.

The next day

The light from the sun shone on his eyes and he woke up after a long night sleep. He was decently surprised to find himself sleeping on the roof but he quickly remembered what happened yesterday.

He sighed from the annoying memory. He stood up and proceeded to jump down from the roof.

'Wait a minute...'

But Cipher hesitated at the last second as he felt fishy for some reason. He stopped himself from jumping down and suspiciously sniffed the air a few times. He was immediately proved correct to hesitate.

He had smelled out Yui standing in front of his door. She was most probably taking back her bag which hasn't moved since yesterday. When he listened closely, he could also hear the light ringing of the door bell.

The timing couldn't be more right. He woke up at the worst possible moment, as the girl who he was trying to avoid, was awake at the same time as well.

Realizing that the girl wants to meet him, he hesitated for the second time, not knowing what to do. Giving some thoughts, he simply decided to wait for her to give up.

After a long time, Cipher could finally hear her entering her apartment. He confirmed that her smell was also inside her apartment. After doing all the preparations he deemed necessary, he jumped down and walked into his own apartment stealthily.

'That frail girl is really annoying. How much time did you stand outside my door?'

Cipher thought as he entered his apartment. Fortunately, she seemed to have taken her bag with her, so he didn't have to hesitate to enter his apartment like yesterday.

He directly went to his room and plopped down on his bed. He then made a soft laugh in self derision.

'....I am really pathetic. To think I will still be scared after all this time...'

In this whole world, Cipher truly feared only one thing. Yeah, he was afraid of All Might. But his fear for the hero lost to his hatred for him and his stupid ideals.

What he truly feared was bonds. Bonds of friends, family, or any other kinds of relationsh.i.p.s. He was scared of trusting someone and seeing them as important more than anything in this whole world.

Because he knew. No, he was sure that he will lose them as well. He was sure he will lose anyone he found important. It was always the same.

After all, even though he grew strong, strong enough to get revenge, he wasn't able to protect his loved ones. He wasn't able to protect all whom he saw as his family.

Surprisingly, he couldn't help but come to see Sorahiko as important. Because he found out that the old man was kind to even someone like him.

He found the old man to greatly resemble all the ones he had once cared for, and started to see him as his new family. But this didn't come with no consequences. This meeting made him even more afraid, afraid of losing him as well.

At the same time, he also grew to hate and fear his own emotions that d.e.s.i.r.ed for a family. He feared the simple acts of kindness, like the old man showed to him. He realized that if he were to accept someone's kindness, he would soon come to see them as important too.

Thus he pushed away all the people, who showed kind and caring behaviours to him. He found these kind of people as the most annoying and hateful, but surprisingly the most scary and dangerous individuals in the whole world.

Of course, that also included Sorahiko but he wasn't able to push him away. It proved really difficult for Cipher to push away someone he had already come to see as his family.

But he did push away another person once again. That person being the annoying girl from next door.

Surprisingly, he found her the most annoying and hateful than all the other people he had met. The reason being her naiveness.

That naivety made her similar to All Might who he hated. But it also made her similar to Sorahiko, who forgave him. So, after hesitating on what to do, he finally decided to push her away in the most cruelest way he could think of.

He knew that she should be s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to her own emotions more than anything. It was easy for him to realize that, as he was also the same as her. So, he used her own fake emotions against her, hoping that she would somehow come to hate him and ignore him in the future.

Because he was honestly afraid in the deepest part of his conscience. He was really afraid of the girl because he realized, since she was naive, she would probably forgive him for his past, just like the old man once did.

If she were to forgive him, then he would surely come to see her as someone important. This thought truly scared him to no ends.

But no matter how much scared he was of her, how much he came to hate her, he couldn't truly push away all the guilt he experienced when he saw her cry. At the same time, he was also a little glad, glad because he thought that the girl would surely ignore him in the future.

Unfortunately, reality decided to disappoint him once again. The girl didn't ignore him like he thought she would. Instead, she was trying to meet him again with much vigor.

Seeing this, Cipher couldn't help but hesitate everytime he thought of the girl. All of the choices that he could think of were already blocked.

Right now, the only he could try was to avoid her as much as possible and possibly hope that she would also decide to ignore him at some point.
