Fire And Flame

Chapter 25 - Lunch

"So, they won't launch any new product for now..." the man asked.

"No, nothing for now. You can take your time and launch your product within seven days." Gabriel assured him. He was certain that nothing big would launch next week. He was confident.

"That's a good piece of news. What about the bad? You didn't hear what they were discussing?"

"They weren't talking. Ms. Williams was reading a file. She didn't even look at me for a second time."

"I see, she doesn't talk much. But, that doesn't mean you'd take her lightly. She is very smart and what she thinks now, maybe you can't even imagine. No wonder why she is still at the top list. Keep an eye on her." the man ordered Gabriel.

"She managed to fire her long term employee when he was caught. I will think about what to do with CashCredit. I will first deal with my new launching of phone. We will launch on Thursday. It will be a great shock to all other companies. Two more days." He continued.

"Now that my work is done. I shall now take my leave. Have a nice day, Sir." Gabriel stood up to leave.

"You'll get 5 percent of the total profit we'll get from the launching of the new mobile plus the bonus as promised." Hearing to what the man said right now, Gabriel's eyes sparkled in the dark. He happily walked to his car and drove off to his home. He was soon going to become rich. Not very rich but he would get to live a luxurious life with the promised amount.

….

"Let me and my agent handle the stocks for Maple for next two days. It won't be get high but it won't drop down too." Laura offered her help.

"Okay." Brandon had other plans as well to work on.

"Set the date, it's Thursday. Then everything's gonna be alright." She smiled at Brandon who smiled back at him. Seeing her smile made Brandon relax a bit. He had sacrificed many sleepless nights and had worked hard to build this company into a top-class company. He wouldn't allow anyone to stand on his paved path to success. And those who will, he won't let them set free.

Paul Kirk, the CEO of CashCredit and Arial Mobile, is a very ambitious person. As he was new to this corporate and business world, he chose to climb the ladder of success using all means of illegal connections and activities. The competitive spirit inside him was very high which made him lose his sanity. All he wanted was a successful career, and he could go to any heights to become successful. But, not every time he tried was a success for him. He failed multiple times but never gave up on the spirit.

Competing with Maple was his challenge. The top company who transformed the whole world with its technologies, was his goal to defeat Maple.

….

"I am sorry, Lily. I got an important call. I have to leave."Jacob apologised. He received a message from Laura which was very important.

"Oh, you're leaving?" Lily's eyes twinkled.

'Why is so happy about me leaving?' Jacob felt disappointed looking at Lily's face.

"Yes, I am..."

"So, I can have your food too? It's still untouched. You only took a few bites of naan bread and one piece of chicken on your plate. The bowl is still untouched. Why to waste it? I can eat it." Lily looked at the two bowls of chicken butter masala and a basket of naan bread. She thanked her stars for being so generous towards her today.

'Silly girl.' Jacob thought to himself.

"It's all yours. You can have all. I will be going now. Sorry..." he left immediately after apologizing.

"Why is he saying sorry for? I should thank him instead. Idiot." Lily said while eating a mouthful of naan bread dipped in the juicy gravy.

Meanwhile, Laura and Brandon where so engrossed in watching what was happening on the screen, they forgot to have lunch,

"Let me treat you this time. Would you like to order food or go outside for lunch?" Laura looked at the wall hanging clock. It was already late for lunch. But they can't skip the meal. So she decided to treat Brandon this time as she owed him the last lunch.

"Would you mind ordering food here?" Brandon was tired. He would take a rest in his room and after lunch would drop Laura at her building.

"Okay, then. Let me order." Laura scrolled through the menu card of a restaurant.

'He would love this.' She smiled while placing the order.
