Chapter 10 - Birth of Xia Qingyue

In a large yet glorious manor, 7 individuals were currently inside surrounded by a tense atmosphere.

Currently within the courtyard, the master's wife was currently in the process of going through childbirth, whilst the Master himself, his personal maid and his wife's personal maid are waiting outside with 2 guards. Inside the room is his wife Dongxue and the midwife.

Around 4 hours into the childbirth, the sounds of galloping horses could be heard from the horizon, with how quiet the compound was today, when suddenly a guard came into the master's room to mention that a Young Master Xiao and a child?... had come to visit him today.

As if he found his saving grace he quickly told the guards to show the upmost hospitality and guide them towards his room.

The sounds of footsteps were heard when a young man in his early twenties who was also carrying a child of around 6 months within his arms.

"Younger Brother Xiao!" shouted the master, Xia Hongyi, before he paused and asked, "Who is this little one my younger brother, you have yet to explain to me why I haven't heard about your child", with a mock anger he asked.

"Ha-ha, I had just come over to come check on you Senior Xia and your wife since it is almost time for your child to come to life, however make no mistake, this is my younger brother, Xiao Long" explained Xiao Ying in a cheerful manner which managed to lighten the previous nervous atmosphere due to the ongoing childbirth.

However, once he settled down, he noticed the tired features and the tense vibe that the maids currently had, so he directly questioned "Senior Xia, why is everyone so tense".

To which Xia Hongyi replied steadily "My wife is undergoing childbirth Young Xiao".

Xiao Ying was so surprised a fly could've flew into his mouth, Yun Long himself was wondering why Xiao Ying had so much influence within the plot.

'Is this guy cursed with all the negative attributes of plot armour? He didn't even get to be an MC… I only hope that in a few days when the assassins come to kill him they leave him with breath left so I can preserve his body and heal him when I have the ability to do so in the future'

After going through his internal monologue Yun Long had seemingly lost any happiness he might've had, knowing that he had to leave it to fate to see whether or not he could save this big brother of his.

"Congratulations Senior Xia, and do not worry too much, whilst your wife may seem like she is too weak, I know that any women that Senior Xia can fall head over heels for, even abandoning his merchant code for, is definitely one who will not succ.u.mb to childbirth, no… in fact Senior Xia, I know for a fact that your wife will be able to give birth to a healthy child!"

"Mn, Younger Brother Xiao, I will take your auspicious words and hope the blessings you provide come to fruition" said Xia Hongyi with a melancholic expression.

Whilst Yun Long thought 'You have no idea my dear elder brother...'

August 25, 1978 Profound Year

(A/N: Again following the timeline, although it states that Qingyue is a week older than Yun Che, making her birthday theoretically being a month or two before, they also stated on her 16th birthday is when the wedding happened, Yun Che age was confirmed and this was the date of the wedding so I used it as the wedding date since it had the most confirmed information)

Xia Clan Manor

It is currently early hours of the next day, and his wife was still in childbirth even after 10 hours, however his personal maid had barged through the door shouting "Clan Master"

To which Xia Hongyi replied, "Quickly tell me the news, is there an emergency", he was quite annoyed at this maid, what happened if Xiao Long were to awake due to the commotion she made.

"Clan Master it is about your wife" said the maid with an excited tone

"Ah, what happened, is Dongxue okay?... is it finally over?" practically forgetting what he was annoyed about earlier, he himself started bouncing up and down and shaking his maid when asking those questions… even if he was the live embodiment of the Sin of Sloth, Yun Long had no chance of sleeping through the event.

"Clan… Clan Master, calm down, it seems as if..." at this point the maid had to escape from being manhandled by her master "as if she is going to give birth within any moment Clan Master!".

Without even her sentence completing, Xia Hongyi and Xiao Ying who was also currently carrying Yun Long had appeared in the room where his wife was carrying the new-born child, however the difference was that both the midwife and his wife Dongxue, had concerned expressions on their face.

The child was a stillborn... yes, once Xia Hongyi had understood this, he felt his soul shattered, and had just dropped to his knees.

However, Yun Long knowing the truth of the matter just shouted "Broda… save… baby".

Everyone in the room was wondering what Yun Long was talking about, in fact they were more surprised that a baby of 6 months could even speak more than one word, however not Xiao Ying, he immediately started expending his profound strength towards Xia Qingyue, to preserve her life.

"Younger brother Xiao, what are you doing, what is your baby brother talking about" mustered Xia Hongyi with his last thread of hope on Xiao Ying.

"Senior Xia, my younger brother is indeed correct, there is still life in this child and no matter what, since I had promised you a young healthy child I shall follow through on my words" shouted an exhausted Xiao Ying.

Yun Long after seeing Xiao Ying reserves near 5% and noticed Qingyue's life force still dissipating concluded that if he didn't take action then this new timeline would lead to her death, thus he shouted "Broda, take, broda, carry".

To which Xiao Ying was confused, however he signalled with his eyes towards Xia Hongyi, who lifted him onto the table where Qingyue lied upon.

Once on the table Yun Long almost flopped over like a elephant seal since he couldn't crawl, over to Qingyue and he started infusing what little origin energy he had collected over the last 6 months to secure her life force.

After 5 minutes he crawled away, then plopped down asleep, whilst everyone in the Xia manor was looking at the real-life miracle that had just occurred with their eyes popping out their heads and their jaws dropping on the literal floor...
