Chapter 15 - Dawn of the Assassination

It's been a few days since the conversation about the plan to change fate had happened, but one thing that Xiao Ying didn't understand was, why didn't his younger brother talk to him anymore?

Although he found that it was slightly irritating, he didn't want to question too much as he guessed from the glow in his brother's eye that it may not be regular for him to be able to use 'telepathy'.

However he was proven wrong when he heard that imm.a.t.u.r.e voice once more "Elder Brother, a fierce aura is approaching, I will be hovering above in Vimana, make sure you follow the plan to perfection as this is our one and only shot at safely achieving our goal today, however you needn't worry… if worse comes to worst, there are plenty of treasures I can use to eliminate Xuanyuan Wendao today"

However, Xiao Ying was not happy with what he heard as he was no stupid man, he understood fully that if he didn't get this plan right his younger brother may cause mortal harm to himself just so that he can alter his fate, thinking of this Xiao Ying's eyes shone brightly, clearly representing his will, as his hands were balled up.

As he had been instructed, Xiao Ying didn't react, however he allowed the sneak attack to land on him, until he heard a voice filled with a haughty arrogance, seeping with great disdain.

"Hahahaha, Xiao Ying, Xiao Ying, for you to be actually be personally chased by this Young Sword Master, you should be kneeling down and thanking your ancestors, such glory will never again be found in your pitiful life, oh wait, hahahaha, after today you will no longer have a life".

When Xiao Ying who was a strike away from death looked up, he saw a young-looking man dressed in all black, hovering slightly above the ground, he had the most ordinary looks, with no feature that would stand out within a crowd, with an average build… not that it mattered in a cultivation world.

Xiao Ying spat out blood and asked, "Who are you, why do you attempt to take my life".

To which Xuanyuan Wendao replied "This Young Master has been attempting to find two worms who had managed to escape our clutches, and he happened to find out that you are the ones who assisted them in their time of need, if you quickly tell this Young Master all your information regarding them, I will allow you a painless death" with a cruel look in his eyes.

Xuanyuan Wendao spewed his response knowing full well he will end this mans life, however he will prolong it as long as he can since it was 'fun'.

However, what he didn't expect was for Xiao Ying to splatter his face with a phlegm bomb as he laughed in disdain.

"Ptui, even if I Xiao Ying fall today, I will not satisfy you… Worthless villain".

Xuanyuan Wendao who wiped the spit of his face was shocked, but rage consumed him as the rage caused him laugh maniacally before he settled down, looking at Xiao Ying with a crazy glint bubbling within his eyes.

"HMPH, this Young Master had actually held some pity for you, however since you want to court death, this young master will give you a fate worse than what dogs deserve…"

"If you do not reveal the information about the Demons that you sheltered, this Young Master will personally go to your small clan and find the information myself, then once I am done playing with your clans' women, this Young Master will eliminate them from existence".

What he didn't expect was for Xiao Ying to start laughing "Hahahaha, Xuanyuan Wendao, was your head kicked by a donkey, did you really think that I am a member of the Xiao Clan… pfft, to think that a Young Master of the sacred ground that the Illusionary Demon Realm are wary about is so useless… bah, if you want to get the information, gain it from my dead body you damned frog, this granddaddy here will rather die than tell another soul about anything"

Although Xuanyuan Wendao seemed like a useless young master, he was actually extremely shrewd due to his psychotic father and he had been clearly analysing the truth in the statements that Xiao Ying had stated, and noticed he told no lies.

"Hmm, no matter, I will still end your pathetic life today"

As he walked over towards Xiao Ying, he noticed an unknown energy was acc.u.mulating in Xiao Ying, thinking he was trying to fight back, his eyes simply narrowed in pure disdain, what could a True Profound do to an Overlord like him.

"HMPH, Xuanyuan Wendao, even if I die I will at least take you with me you damn b*stard, and know that you will never find the people you are looking for unless you have the guts to conquer the Illusionary Demon Realm and find them, HAHAHAHA"

With an unexpected turn of events, the energy became chaotic, and Xuanyuan Wendao felt great fear as he instinctively raised his profound strength to counter the explosion, but he had closed his eyes at the bright light that shone from Xiao Ying.

However this was the moment Yun Long was waiting for, the moment his origin grenade that he had planted on Xiao Ying exploded, he recalled Xiao Ying into Vimana: Ark (A/N: Two versions, original (copy), and the fused treasure Yun Long created, which is: Vimana: Throne that Pierces the Void), before quickly recovering his basic functions with his origin energy, then safely placing him in the Coffin of Frozen Eternity.

The Coffin of Frozen Eternity was a treasure he created by fusing the Coffin of Eternity with the Eternal Heaven Pearl (copy), which created an upgrade to the Coffin that not only sealed the moment a person entered it, it froze the time within it, freezing the ageing process but can similarly change the time so that one can age faster and so on.

(A/N: This is the replenishable aspect, he used the only Eternal Heaven Pearl (copy), however as the Gate of Babylon has the 'replenishable' ability, it just creates another Eternal Heaven Pearl (copy) from the original treasure, however it cannot do this for sentient items or items with consciousness)

Following his plan he infused his origin energy to fill Xiao Ying, to the point that when he released the energy, he would be able to release an attack of an Peak Sky Profound, nothing Xuanyuan Wendao cannot handle, however the fact that he was caught by surprise allowed him to think that he had committed suicide, leading to Yun Long being able to save him from his fate, even at the cost of destroying his profound veins.

When Xuanyuan Wendao had recovered from his initial shock, he summarised that Xiao Ying was likely a false agent that the demons had brought with them, however one thing he did do was inform him that the couple had already managed to return to the Illusionary Demon Realm…

Annoyed, he simply returned to inform his father of the outcome, completely forgetting about the existence of one Xiao Ying and the Xiao Clan he said that he would destroy.

When he was heading back he felt a cold shiver travel through his body, finding it odd he shook it off, he would've never thought that, that was the actual moment he had been marked by a Death God who happened to be planning the multiple ways he was going to torture and kill him after his transgressions today.
