Chapter 16 - Dongxue that melts away

The aftermath of the assassination was simply Yun Long shrinking Vimana: Ark to the size of a bead in which he attached to a necklace Xiao Ying had worn, as he wouldn't be able to return the Coffin of Frozen Eternity to the Infinite Origin Void Realm, as forget Xiao Ying, even Yun Long himself currently had no way of accessing the Infinite Origin Void Realm.

What Yun Long then proceeded to do was to use a nearby cultivator whose strength was in the Spirit Profound, to create the backstory of how Xiao Ying had faced an attack of an assassin and due to his profound strength being exhausted, he was unable to fight back until the cultivator he had brainwashed manage to rescue him before he was killed by the assassins.

He ordered his newfound puppet to deliver him to the Xia Clan and explain the details to the guards, when a few minutes a voice could be heard "Senior, my name is Xia Hongyi, can you please once more clarify the situation".

To which the puppet of Yun Long replied "Whilst I was in the forest cultivating, I sensed a commotion and decided to investigate when I found a young man in his early twenties at the brink of death from attacks from assassins"

"He had managed to slay the assassins barring the reinforcements that were arriving, however you needn't worry about them as they no longer are a problem since they are dead. He then asked me to return this child to the Xia Clan Master, please allow me to see the master and deliver this child so that I can continue my cultivation".

Xia Hongyi who heard the actual tale from the mouth from this mysterious cultivator himself stood rooted, deep guilt and endless regret filled his eyes as he coughed blood and fell to the floor, his wife quickly assisted him.

"Husband, what happened, please do not feel too much guilt, Younger Brother Xiao would not have wanted to see you in such a condition" although Dongxue had said this, her voice had faltered a little as tears gushed out remembering the youth that had been their families closest friend.

Xia Hongyi just said in a rough voice "No, if not for the effort Younger Brother Xiao had put in rescuing our Qingyue…"

"Maybe… just maybe he could've been able to preserve his life".

However, Xia Hongyi knew that it wasn't time to be in his feelings "Senior, please allow this junior to repay the gratitude, you preserved Xiao Ying's younger brother and completed his last wish"

Then Yun Long used his mental out powers to create a mental suggestion, and then completely erasing his memories of the matter, allowing him to return to his normal life.

"It is unnecessary Young Xia, this child has great fate and even without my intervention the heavens would have preserved him in his journey" the mysterious senior said indifferently, before disappearing into the vast horizon.

Xia Hongyi who was looking at the child in his arms felt his nose turning sour "Child, Forgive your Uncle Xia, if it had not been for me, you would have been able to still be around your older brother Ying" he said sorrowfully.

What he didn't expect was to Yun Long to reply "Don… Cwy…Fava…inlor" in his cute baby voice that still couldn't pronounce correctly.

This was the last straw for Xia Hongyi, looking at this intelligent Son-in-Law of his, he asked nervously, even though he had no idea why "Do you not blame me child? For you to know what a Father-in-Law is one thing, but to still allow me to be yours, I am truly not worthy of such forgiveness".

Yun Long just smiled brightly, stunning Xia Hongyi, "Fava... inlor, stoopid… Elder Broda laff… at…Fava... inlor" although he wanted to tease this Father-in-Law of his, he also wanted to relax the burden he put on himself by mentioning his elder brother, hoping that he will not fall into deep guilt, regret and sorrow.

After all he was hiding the truth from then, since he was the main reason for their pain the least he could do was put on the 'act' and cheer the Xia couple up a little.

Dongxue who had been watching this beautiful scene at his side the whole time already had a stream of tears flowing down from both eyes, she too had noticed that her husband was spiralling into a difficult emotional situation and yet the silly but intelligent words of this miracle child that had saved her daughter, now had saved her husband too.

She truly felt in her heart that what that mysterious senior said was true, the heavens truly favoured this one child.

"Husband, we need to inform only the fifth elder and his wife about the incident for now, allow me to look after Long'er during this period as the situations settles down" said Dongxue in calming yet firm manner, she wanted to take this opportunity to distract her husband from the feelings he had just forgotten a minute ago.

"Mn… Xue'er, I want you to be with this child at all times, okay, whilst we cannot reverse what happened to Younger Brother Xiao, I certainly will preserve the safety of his younger brother, and our future Son-in-Law" said a hoarse Xia Hongyi, walking towards his study to sort out the fiasco that had just occurred.

Yun Long just shouted "Mommy, cawwy" with his arms stretched out, not always you get to enjoy the divine melons of your Mother-in-Law and the owner of the Divine Stainless Body.

Dongxue who saw this scene nearly fainted from the call mommy, it kept replaying over and over whilst she subconsciously picked up Yun Long and c.a.r.e.s.sed him to sleep.

Dongxue had went to her personal courtyard, however Yun Long had decided to take action, what he really wanted to do was eliminate the personality that was Yue Wugou and yet he felt like he would be abusing his powers and would eventually lead to him deviating to a path where he would not want to see himself go towards.

Thus, since her soul was currently weakened due to her amnesia, he gave a mental command to carry the Divine Concealing Amulet at all times on her, and he had left the Amulet's power of concealing aura and profound energy on at all times, so when she awakens she will not have excuse for the plan Yun Long had set up.

Within a certain sleeping babies soul world, all one could hear was the cynical laughter of a scheme hitting the money.
