Harry Potter And The Dual Lord

Chapter 41 - Cotton balls

Arthur jokingly pushed Camilla's shoulder and said "So, let's talk about you. I'm not familiar with Italy. You said your family was governing it?"

Camilla smiled, but without her usual cheerfulness and said "Italy is different from most other countries. We don't have any Ministry of Magic, but five families are governing it. My family is one of those five."

Arthur nodded and asked "What about your children? I mean, children in Italy, not yours personally… I mean, where do they study? Beauxbatons?"

Camilla shrugged and said "Depends. Some do go there, but most children are now either home schooled by their parents, or taught by their clan, like me."

Arthur frowned and said "That's why you don't have anyone on Dumbledore's level." Camilla's eyes opened wide as she said "Excuse me?!"

Arthur shrugged and said "What kind of magic are you the best at?"

Camilla replied "Transfiguration, why?"

Arthur nodded and asked "Then are you as good in Charms? Or Potions?"

Camilla frowned and said "I told you transfiguration is my best already."

Arthur smiled and said "Exactly. Now let's say in the future you learn 100% of everything your teacher knows, you will teach it to someone else too. But what about Potions? What will you teach your students?"

Camilla replied "Someone else will…"

Arthur nodded and said "Yes, because you are in a clan. But what about those who only have their parents to teach them? What if you were not part of a clan, you would only be able to teach your students transfiguration. The system of a clan is better, but a school is still better. The systems are similar, but in one you take the best in each field in one clan, and the other you take them from an entire region of the world."

Camilla was stumped for words and Arthur said "School is better. Why would there be ones otherwise? Of course homeschooling isn't horrible either, but it restrains people talents. What if Zygmunt Budge had been home schooled by parents who didn't know anything about potions?"

Elena budged in "Who?"

Arthur looked at her and said "Zygmunt Budge is a famous potioneer who not only created many potions but also wrote an incredible book named Book of potions."

Camilla sighed and said "Then what about it? Maybe schools are better, but there are only 8 in the entire world."

Arthur drank a mouthful of coffee and said "Yes, but that's not the problem, the problem is people's mentalities. Do you know that in the Muggle world people fight for entering a school? But magical school do the opposite and have to seek students themselves. Hogwarts is most probably the strongest and most populated school in the magical world thanks to Dumbledore, and yet the numbers of students is low. The castle could host at least ten times more people, with absolutely no problem. There are so many areas that aren't used in the castle. It may be even worse in other schools."

Camilla asked "What can you do about that? People prefer teaching their children themselves."

Arthur nodded and changed the subject "About our wands, we should go untrace the now, don't you think?"

Camilla nodded and said "Yeah, we should probably get it done. But if you want, you can do it somewhere than here. Although they wouldn't dare go directly against you, they may trick you and only slightly erase the Trace."

Arthur's eyes turned cold and he said "Would they? Good, those son of bitches…" Arthur felt a hand on his shoulder and saw Elena who as smiling.

Arthur calmed himself and asked "Camilla, you know a good place to untrace our wands?"

Camilla replied "Actually I do. Follow me."

The three got up and headed out. They had nothing to do in the mall anymore so they got out quickly and followed Camilla as she led them around the tents.

On the way, Arthur asked "Camilla, your real job, it's to spot talents, isn't it?"

Camilla looked at him in shock and asked "Why do you ask?"

Arthur smiled and said "You said your job asks you to know geniuses. Seeing how nice you are to us, I would say that you are currying favor to us. But I wonder why, your family is powerful after all… Or maybe it isn't that much anymore."

Camilla stopped and after a fair deal of hesitation said "I would have told you anyway, so I might as well tell you. Yes, my clan has gotten weaker, and we fear the other families will try to swallow us."

Arthur smiled and asked "So your family sent you to spot geniuses?"

Camilla smiled and said "So you aren't an omniscient being who is always right. I am here on my ow accord. My family wanted to marry me to a man from one of the other reigning clans."

Arthur frowned and as they resumed walking he said "You are part of a big clan, you should be accustomed to forced marriage."

Camilla replied "I am. And I wouldn't have made such a fuss if my 'husband' hadn't been a forty years old fat pig."

Arthur chuckled and asked "Then how do you intend canceling this wedding? Even if you find someone talented and convince him or her to help you, by the time he or her becomes strong enough to snatch you away or directly confront that family, you would have already borne that pig's children."

Camilla smiled cheerfully again and said "That it if I hadn't been lucky. I received news that a few hours ago, that pig had been hanging out in Knockturn Alley, in Britain, and that he has disappeared there. He most probably has been abducted or something. His family is madly searching for him since a few hours already, but they still didn't find him then he is most probably dead. It was only retribution for that pervert. Can you believe it, they wanted to marry me to a pedophile!"

Arthur and Elena's hearts skipped a beat hearing her, and looked at each other. Then Arthur approached Camilla and grabbed her arm, stopping her.

He looked at her straight in the eyes and said "I'll show you someone's face, only you will see it. Tell me if this is your supposed husband."

A man's face suddenly appeared before Camilla's eyes and she exclaimed in surprise seeing him. It disappeared and Arthur asked "Was it him?"

Camilla nodded and asked "Do you know him?"

Arthur nodded "You could say that. We met him. I killed him and destroyed his body."

Camilla looked at him suspiciously "Why are you telling me this? Aren't you afraid I would…"

Arthur sneered "What? Tell his family? First why would you do that, you hated him. You are probably more grateful than anything. And would you really tell them even if you loved him?"

Camilla smiled and said "Indeed, provoking you wouldn't be a wise move."

Then she took a step forward and suddenly hugged Arthur. But due to the height difference, Arthur found his head in the middle of Camilla's ample b.r.e.a.s.ts who said "Thank you Arthur for doing that! Even if you didn't know who he was, you still helped me."

Arthur didn't struggle. Why should he? His head was being comforted by two balls of cotton, and he helped her, it would be rude refusing her thanks…

Arthur felt his Excalibur was getting harder, but thanks to his height his crotch was in front of the space between her t.h.i.g.hs so it wasn't in contact with her body. How would he have explained himself if she had felt it?
