Harry Potter: Glory of the King

Chapter 41: Almost Headless Nick

"I know who you are!" Ron said suddenly. "My two brothers told me about you-you are the'nearly headless Nick'!"

"I think I would prefer you to call me Sir Nicolas de Mincy-Poppington..." The ghost looked a little awkward, but the pale brown-haired Seamus Finnigan interjected, "Almost headless? What are you doing? Almost headless?"

Sir Nicholas looked very angry. It seemed that he didn't want to talk about the subject: "It's like this!" He said impatiently, then grabbed his left ear and dragged it down. His head swayed from his neck and fell to his shoulders. Up, as if the head is connected with a hinge. It seems that someone chopped off his head, not thoroughly. Nick, who was almost headless, looked at their stunned expressions, very happy. He flicked his head back to his neck, cleared his throat, and said, "Well, new Gryffindor classmates! I hope you can help us win the Academy Cup this school year, okay? Gryffindor. It has never been a long time since Slytherin has won an award. Slytherin has won six consecutive championships! The **** Barrow is really unbearable—he is the ghost of Slytherin."

Everyone looked at the Slytherin table and saw a ghost sitting at the table, very terrible, with dull eyes, described as haggard, and the robe was covered with silver blood spots. Barrow the blood man was sitting right next to Malfoy, and Malfoy looked dissatisfied with this seating arrangement.

"Why did he get blood all over his body?" Seamus was particularly interested.

"I never asked." Nick said cautiously, almost headless.

After everyone had eaten, the rest of the food disappeared from the plate. The plates became as smooth as ever. After a while, the pudding came up. There are all kinds of ice cream, apple pie, syrup fruit tart, chocolate muffin, fried jam donut, wine dipped jam pudding, strawberry, jelly, rice pudding...

Ona took some pudding to help digestion, Glory chose strawberries and other fruits, as for Hermione, she chose several sweets without hesitation.

"Aren't you afraid of teeth problems like this?" Ona said with a smile.

"Don't be afraid!" Hermione glared at him, obviously the anger still remained, and the feeling of grief and anger turned into appetite.

"Okay, Hermione." Glory couldn't stand it anymore. "If you eat too much sweets, you will not only get fat, but you may also have tooth decay. By then, Uncle William and Aunt Jennifer will be angry!"

"Huh? Are you very familiar?" Seamus was a little familiar, and immediately interrupted when he heard the words. "Are you all wizards in your house?"

"No." Ona said flatly, "Hermione's parents are not magical, our grandfather may be a little bit, but he passed away before we were born, and our parents are not magical."

"Oh, then I am half and half." Seamus said, "Dad is a Muggle. Mom didn't tell Dad that she was a wizard until after she got married. But he was very scared."

Everyone laughed, and Glory asked with interest: "Then how did they meet?"

"Just the neighbor," Seamus said with a smile.

"What about you, Neville?" Ron asked.

"Oh, I was brought up by grandma, she is a wizard." Neville said. "But our family has been treating me like a Muggle for so many years..." Then Neville explained his experience, and it ended with his uncle Argie who bought a toad for him.

"Senior Percy." After Hermione ate a few bites of ice cream, she found that she couldn't finish these things, so she poured them all to Ona, and then consulted Percy in her spare time. "I want to ask some questions about the course..."

"Yes, what do you want to know?" Percy, as the prefect, naturally answers every question to freshmen.

"It's about Transfiguration..." Ona has a headache. If there is something about the spell learning in August that makes Hermione helpless, it is Transfiguration. Ona seems to be very talented in this aspect, and I don't know why— -But he has speculated that it may be related to Xuanweizi. Everything has a spirit. Mysterious person is the basic composition of the spirit. Transfiguration is nothing more than transforming the physical form of the spirit. In his eyes, the basic composition of everything is the same, so what can't be changed?

On the stall of Ounath thought, I heard Hermione say: "I wish to be straightforward. There are so many things to learn. I am particularly interested in transfiguration. You know, turning one thing into another, of course, It should be very difficult..."

"You should start from small things, such as turning matches into needles..." Percy patiently imparted his own experience-as a prefect, his grades are very top-notch.

Ona noticed Harry yawning, and then looked at the guest-of-visit table—seemingly wanting to know when the banquet could end. Ona followed his gaze, Hagrid was toasting and drinking, but he seemed to have just tasted some alcohol. What Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore were talking about, hoping to end the banquet-Ona was not tired, but there should be enough gains today. Professor Quirrell was talking to a teacher with greasy black hair, a hooked nose, and sallow skin. Ona reacted right away—Professor Snape!

"Oh!" Ha covered his forehead with one hand, something seemed to make him feel pain.

"What's the matter?" Percy, Ron, and Ona all asked.

"No...nothing." Harry dropped his hand, seemingly okay. "Who is the teacher who spoke to Professor Quirrell?"

"Oh, you already know Professor Quirrell. It’s not surprising that he is so neurotic. That’s Professor Snape, who teaches potions, but he doesn’t want to teach this course—everybody knows that he is greedy about Professor Quirrell’s work. Snape was very good at black magic."

Harry didn't speak, just stared at Professor Snape.

As the pudding disappeared, Professor Dumbledore stood up again. The auditorium also returned to silence.

"Oh, now everyone is full and drunk. I want to say a few more words to everyone. At the beginning of the semester, I want to make a few points for everyone: pay attention to the first-year students, the school grounds The forest area forbids any students from entering. Some of our old classmates should also remember this." Dumbledore's shiny eyes swept toward the Weasley twin brother. "Furthermore, Mr. Filch, the administrator, wants me to remind everyone not to use magic in the corridors between classes."

"The review of Quidditch players will be held in the second week of this semester. Anyone who is interested in joining the college team, please contact Ms. Huo Qi."

"Finally, I must tell everyone that anyone who does not want to suffer an accident or die in pain, please do not enter the corridor on the right on the fourth floor."

Harry and the few others laughed, but more people, especially the senior students, were thoughtful.

"Is he serious?" Ona heard Harry whisper to Percy.

"Impossible," Percy frowned and looked at Dumbledore. "It is strange that he usually explains why we are not allowed to go. For example, there are many dangerous beasts in that forest area. I know. I think he should at least explain clearly to our prefect."
