Hi I'm Married, But I'm Sleeping With My Boss

Chapter 57 - Searching for daddy (2)

Lights were turned on to the reveal a small boy on his bed beside the sticker decorated wall. Li wei moved over to him, sat on his bed and placed his hand softy on his forehead just to check up on his temperature.

He must've been alone the whole day. Maybe he should've take him to his wife's home but he thought it'll be better to keep him at his. Just to be on the safe side.

"Zhen, I'm sorry that you have to go through this. I feel bad that you don't have the happy family that most kids you age enjoy. Your mother and I weren't just meant to be but we decided to give you a chance in this world" he kissed the boys forehead "I'm going to divorce your mother soon and might probably marry miss Zhao. I'm not sure if you remember her but that's the woman I'm interested in right now..."

Li wei got up and headed for the door. He had to decide on who would have full custody of the child but he felt like his son would be much safer with him. He'd raised him as his blood son, but to the world they'd know him as his nephew.

Zhen listened to everything his father said. He sat up speechless as usual and stared at the ceiling. "Daddy...mummy...." he formed the shape of a heart with his hands "Please love" deep down in him, he wanted his parents to be together. But that seemed like something impossible. He is just the little glue that holds them together for the mean time.

The next morning, a Sunday. Zhen woke up, hair a mess from the tussle and turns of the night. He got off his bed and headed down stairs, following the sweet aroma coming from the kitchen.

The boy peeped watching his dad work his way skillfully in the kitchen. Li wei caught a brief glimpse at the boy but he had to pay full attention to what he was cutting swiftly.

"Zhen..."

The boy took a while before he finally stepped out of his hiding spot to meet his father. "How are you?" the boy smiled and his father served him fresh pancakes.

"Let's go have breakfast..." he moved to the dinning room and placed the plates on the table. He poured honey on the pancakes and sat the boy down.

Li wei could tell that his son wanted to say something. It was so unlike him to leave his father's pancakes untouched.

"What's wrong?" the boy was scared to talk but he had a lot he would've wanted to say, but over the years he learnt how not to share his opinion.

"If you don't have anything to say then just eat. Can't have you starve for absolutely no reason" the boy breathed out and tapped the table making eating uncomfortable for his father.

"Stop that Zhen!" the boy shook his head and used force to bang on the table. "Stop it!!!"

"No! I hate you!!!"

Li Wei's eyes widened, "After everything I've done for you? You think bringing you into this world isn't good enough?"

"I hate you!!! I hate mom!!! I hate myself!!!" the boy burst into tears and his father pinched the bridge of his nose wondering what brought up his sudden change of attitude so early in the morning.

"What exactly is your problem" his father sounded so frustrated but hr was trying his best to hide the annoyance in his voice.

"Don't leave mom" li wei was drinking water but as soon as he son said that he spewed it all out beating his c.h.e.s.t as he coughed and the boy knew exactly what his Father's reaction meant.

"I'm sorry...I don't want to be with your mother." Li wei did feel guilt but that was the truth. He had no sort of lovey-dovey feelings towards his mother "I can promise you a better life with a different woman that'll treat you as if you were her own son" the boy shook his head as he left the dining room and trudged, shoulder's dropped with his head lowered.

Meanwhile, Meilin stood in front of Guiren's large frame and trailed her hands allover the prints of it "I never thought I'd think of getting my kids a father but when I met you, thought's like that paved way into my head. You're gone now, you probably sent Li wei to me but it would've been nice if we were actually together, the way you wanted it to be. But that bastard just had to take you away..." the twins watched their mom's movements but couldn't make out what she was saying.

Li Hua and Li Na still weren't talking but pretended they were on good terms whenever they were around their mother. Li Na wasn't going to give up on her search for who her father was. Li hua wasn't bothered about all that, she just wanted her mom to be with whoever she wanted to be with. Well the girl's had different thoughts on the issue of 'love' what they knew nothing about.

As soon as she got to school the next Monday, she planned to go meet the cafe man and find out once and for all if the woman in his frame is really her mother.

The break bell rang and she made her way out of the school premises and strolled to the nearby cafe. Stopped a little to pick up the flowers that blossomed. She'd take it back to her mother, probably find a way to preserve them and have her mother pat her head lovingly.

She walked under the rays of the sun that fell upon the greenery of the curtains of unison trees on the sides of the road. The atmosphere had a new feeling of the welcoming season, a tepid heat.

Haru was inside putting things in place and left the door open to air the small room. Grass covered the land slick like dense hair. He left the water sprinkles on as he cleaned the tables.

Li Na could recognise the rainbow colored flowers in front of the small cafe building and she could spot the man inside. She walked in without knocking because the door was wide opened, and she went over to the counter where the frame was.

"Hey..." she turned back and Haru sighed "It's you again. I thought you were someone else. Li hua?"

she shook her head "No, li na" Haru didn't know how to differentiate them but he waved it off. "Okay Li Na, how may I help you?"

"The picture...I want to see it..." she turned it slowly and her hands tightened by her side. The girl slowly walked towards Haru widening her arms as she wrapped it around his legs, the only place she could reach for the mean time "I've found you....dad"
