Haru stood on the witness stand, his hands cuffed as he waited for the court heating to commence. Meilin was seated on the first row, her lawyer, Lilu fong beside her as she went through some doc.u.ments.

"Mr Haru Yang has been accused of Parental kidnapping and posing as a threat to the Zhao family" The opening statement was an announcement made by a member of the jury concerning the civil case.

Haru knew he'd probably be charged, that's why he let the judge get an attorney for him. He had little or no regrets for what he did. If he could get God's life remote, he'd fast forward to the end of the whole boring trial to where he'll be convicted.

The attorney obviously knew it was hopeless because of Haru's reluctance to the help being provided for him. It would end sad, but it's inevitable.

"Fast forward... fast forward...fast forward through the whole pointless trial when they could simply toss me behind bars" Haru rested his chin on his palm the entire time as he gazed vacantly at the essences of everyone now yawned periodically.

"I hereby sentence Mr Haru Yang to 6 years of jail time in The correctional facility for the threat against the Zhao family." That was what he wanted to hear because all the pods would have the same outcome no matter what.

He paid no attention to the case because there was no hope and surely no miracles. He'd been condemned to please Meilin. Precisely what she needed, presently she had it. An ideal opportunity to ward off Haru from her kids and have them develop without him.

Was there any purpose of returning? The twins may most likely forget him, since people did the same. When he lost all his cash, the entire world deleted him from presence. It was as if he'd never been an influential television person.

He lost his reputation and acclaim. He wasn't pursued by fans any longer, he was completely an ordinary individual strolling in the city. That was what his life had become and to add to his story, he's going to jail.

He wondered the look on Meilin's face, she must've been happy the whole time knowing she finally succeeded but he's actually grateful because she didn't play the voice tapes, with that, he'd been giving life imprisonment or even worse a death sentenced. She must've pitied him because she'd never do such out of love.

He couldn't see the expression on Meilin's face because she kept her head down the whole time. She'd done so immediately after the court was adjourned. He was led out without given a second to look back. He got into the van where other convicts had been. He said hello there to them however none of them answered. Just as he expected.

"Why're you crying Meilin? You should be happy... it's exactly what you wanted right?" She shook her head "I really don't know what I want?"

Meilin returned home, conveying her substantial heart and feelings up the stairs yet halted once she met the eyes of sad Li Na "I hate you! I wish I could never see you again" The girl ran into her room and slammed it.

Meilin was bitter but she had to keep moving until she eventually stopped and plopped herself on her bed. She continued to cry as she buried her fingers in the sheets, ready to tear them apart "What have I done?"

Li Hua tried consoling her sister but Li Na shoved her consolations because she still considered her sister as a traitor. "It's all because of you that dad ended in Jail. If you didn't tell her in the first place none of this would've happened. I hate you the same way I hate mom" She threw her pillow at her sister.

Li Hua would always have something to say, but her sister made her feel perfectly flawed. It was her fault, true, but her dad had no grudges whatever against her. "You know, I only did so because I was scared he'd harm you" Li hua left her sister clearly tired of habitual pettiness and walked around the garden to chill.

The family was like shattered glass, broken pieces everywhere and a close to impossible chance of putting it back together.

That same week a lot had happened, the distance between the family expanded, Meilin hired security to keep a close watch on them to prevent the girls...especially Li Na from running away. Mr fu was fired, and Meilin continued to date Li wei.

She thought announcing her new relationship would make her girls feel happy but it made everything worse. They wanted a dad figure and she was willing to bring Li wei into the family but the girls weren't going to let it happen.

Li Na wrote tons of letters to her dad narrating everything that happened within the family after he'd been locked up but her mother never let it leave the house. The new butler, who pretended to be on the kids side burnt it whenever Li Na handed them over to him.

At some point Meilin got tired of trying her best to please her children. Their attitude to her was annoying and frustration so she had to stand her ground as the mother and made new rules along with punishments. Their opinion started to mean less to her and she adopted the 'I'd do whatever i feel like.' system.

Her relationship got s.e.x.u.a.l with Li wei, when we say s.e.x.u.a.l, we mean deep intimacy. The world love didn't mean much to her. She wouldn't hesitate to say she loved him because she eventually loosened up to the deep meaning of love and said it without thinking of how much impact it had on Li wei.

Meilin got herself pregnant after a three months relationship with her children's head teacher. A part of her wasn't prepared to have the child, she didn't think she'd conceive again. She didn't want to.

She spent hours pondering what next to do with the pregnancy report in her hands. Call him or don't call him, now she'd be forced to marry Li wei, that'd probably the next thing to do.

Once she had a miscarriage, she felt bad on not telling Li wei she once bore his child. She couldn't tell him such, it would shatter him because that would've been his first child. She ended up keeping it as a secret between herself and just herself.

It had been a year full of ups and downs but Li wei was always there for her. She'd spent most of her time in his apartment talking and making out with him. That's when a woman barged into his home with a child right beside her.

"Li wei..." she got on her knees to beg "Come back home. Come back home to your wife and kids!!!" And right then and there, Meilin realized she was fooled the entire time.
