Hi I'm Married, But I'm Sleeping With My Boss

Chapter 71 - Will we ever me again?

Haru went to the same play ground to see if the girl was there but she wasn't "Still looking out for that weirdo?" His friend tossed a ball and it landed right on his head "Bullseye!!!"

Haru held unto the swing she rocked back and forth on "I never got to know her name..." The chalk writing was gone, had been faded by the heavy rain fall of the night.

Meilin sat down patiently beside her mother eating the bag of Ch.i.p.s her father unexpectedly bought her. He didn't let her leave the house, but she snuck out. She wanted to see her mother, in any state she was.

"Mummy when are you going to talk to me?" Meilin knew her mother was awake but for some reason she didn't say anything to her. It was simply because she was disappointed in herself. She lost. The thought of suicide came to her mind, she let the drugs take control of her body. It was the opposite of the woman she always wanted to be. She wanted to have a daughter that'll look uo to her as a role model, after what she did, she wonders if Meilin will look at her the same.

"Mummy...I'm waiting" she crunched loudly on the ch.i.p.s eager to hear her mothers voice and the way she always cautioned her eating manners.

"We overlook what we have and what is our own, we should remember our good fortune and not our imperfections. We have it all, but we lost our minds in the doubts and selfishness. It could be hard but we can reclaim our crowns. We're in control if only we get rid of the monsters inside our head, put all our troubles to bed. We can be queens again. There's no logic in sad silence, there's no beauty in ignorant blindness, we don't gain a single thing from misery. We can reclaim our crowns because we're In control. We just have to get rid of the monsters inside our head, put all the troubles to bed. We can be queens again"

That was a short song her mother sang every midnight to calm herself down and keep her sanity together. She was surprised her daughter knew it all, every word, even the complex ones. She sang it the same way she did when she was her age.

Meilin placed a kiss on her mother's head and smiled "You're my hero mom" hana gathered the courage to look at her little girl with tears welling up in her eyes, a state she never wanted her daughter to see.

Meilin could understand, her mother always acted strong because she wanted to be a reason for her happiness. If she cries, and her daughter cries, there'd be no one to console them because they can hardly console themselves.

"You told me that it's okay to cry sometimes. You've been hiding your tears, you can let them out, you've come to a point where hiding them isn't working out anymore."

Hana was happy, her daughter had become wise even at a small age. She was proud of her "I love you Meilin because you haven't give up on me yet" she held unto the small hands of the girl then smiled "I'll work hard to make you happy"

"and I'll also work hard to make you happy so you can also make me happy and everyone will also be happy!!!" She giggled swinging her arms.

Hana sat up and opened the paper bag full of food. Her husband was kind enough to handle the bills even though he didn't want to but she thought the guilt made him take responsibility for what had happen.

"How have you been for the past days Meilin?"

"Happy, sad, and every single emotion out there. Mummy, I met a boy..."

"what about him?" Hana raised a brow curious of the individual her daughter brought up. She never said anything about friends or other people her age, it was strange.

"He...he.." Her face started to blush like a tomato and Hana chuckled loudly. "he said I'm cute" Meilin finished up her statement and buried her face in the palms of her hands out of embarrassment.

"and what's his name?"

Meilin Hummed attempting to recall what she read "it's hara..."

"Hara? Is he a foreigner?"

"He looks like but I doubt."

"I'll soon be time to go home. Get your things ready and go meet your father outside. I don't want him coming in here to search for you"

"Okay mummy" Meilin kissed her mother's forehead then waved as she left. She put on Her backpack and raised her arms to her shoulder level trying to imitate a plane. She made funny noises as she ran through the halls thinking she was in her airplane  plone before she pulled to a stop once she saw her father "We will now prepare for landing!!!"

Back at home Meilin stared at the stars from her bed view, they were beautiful as usual then the boy she met popped up in her head. She turned to her side and her gaze met with the pink wall "Who are you Hara? Are we ever going to meet again?"

She turned once more to face the ceiling and she raised her hand up "You're so far away just like this ceiling. I want to reach you so we can be friends buy we haven't seen for days now. I wonder if you remember me, because you don't even know my name. Did you..." she buried her face in her pillow, hiding her blushing face because of the question she was about to ask "did you really mean what you said?"

She could barely remember his voice. She didn't know what he looked like and regretted not looking at him when she had the chance. He's the only person her age that cared about he situation, the other kids that saw her mocked and laughed. It all contributed to her being more depressed but the sincerity of his voice was enough to brighten her day whenever she thought of him.

"Tell me? Are we going to meet again?" It's been months since he last saw her. He asked himself that question everyday because he was growing older and knew he might not also be able to recognize her because he had no clue of what she looked like. The only lead they had was his name which might not even be important.

"Haru?" His aunt stopped by and he answered her call "Ma?"

"Hurry we need to go see grandpa. The train might leave anytime soon" the sad boy nodded as he adjusted his scarf a little. It was a bit cool that autumn and it was always the time his aunt picked for her kids to see their grandparents. Haru didn't like them but he had to go because His aunt had the final say.

" the train to Jiang shuo will arrive in the next fifteen minutes. The train to jiang shuo will arrive in the next fifteen minutes. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for being patient with us."

Meilin held unto her mother's hand as they proceeded to the  checking area. They were moving for good. Hana had filed for divorce and got half of her husband's wealth and also he demanded sign for child support. That way he'd still be useful to Meilin.

Haru saw the hair of a girl getting into the train and for some reason he felt like it was the same girl he met at the playground. Her charged forward to know if she'd be able to call him by his name. He tried pushing through the crowd but the girl had already gotten in. The door hadn't closed yet and he could still see her "hey wait!!!" Meilin turned, the voice was familiar "Hara!!!" She called but she didn't know where it was coming from. Everyone went to their various comfortable position and the entrance was cleared for anyone that was still coming in.

Meilin saw a boy, she didn't know who he was but the way he was panting it looked like he wanted to talk to her. Or maybe not, she shook her head. She didn't want to assume.

"Hara?" The boy wrinkled his brows and slowly stepped back. " i don't think she's the one...it was a mistake"

" Are you hara? The boy I met at the playground? "

Haru's eyes widened but the train had already started moving. She didn't stay away from the door, she looked through the glass and watched him run after the train.

His aunt noticed he was gone. She looked around for him but he wasn't anywhere to be found. His cousins were to busy with their gamepads to notice he was gone. She yelled at them and commanded they help her search.

Haru still ran even though his efforts were useless. Hana noticed her daughter's tense look, she got up to know what she'd was starring at. "What's your name?!!" Haru screamed hoping she'd hear him but she didn't.
