His Little Pet

I find myself once again walking down that long hallway to Mr. Li's office. Why do I feel so nervous when I come here? Should I just come back later? I mean, he hasn't even called me here, and it's not the end of the week yet.. yeah, I'll just come back when he said to. Just as I turn to walk away, the door to his office flings open, and there he is. All six feet of him. He wore a midnight blue suit, that seemed to be custom tailored to fit perfectly around every muscled inch of his body. Before I could stop myself, I was eyeing him from top to bottom. From what I could only assume was a perfectly toned c.h.e.s.t, to his astoundingly muscled arms, to the just noticeable bulg in his suit pants. I swallow hard. My heart begins racing. I can feel a strange sensation flood through my entire body. And then I hear him shuffle around a bit in the doorway.

"Is there something I can help you with, Miss Reins?"

My eyes shoot straight up to his, my heart now pounding in my c.h.e.s.t to the point where I swear he can hear it. I almost get lost in those beautiful eyes of his, it's like they are just piercing through to my soul.

"N-No Mr. Li. I didn't mean to bother you, I'll leave now."

I turn to leave once again and feel a large, but very gentle, hand grab my arm. It freezes me in my tracks, and I feel that same strange sensation flow through me again at his touch. But more intense this time.

"What's that in your hand?" he questions, looking at the files I'm clutching onto. How did I forget about these? They're the reason I'm here in the first place!

"Oh, I just.. I finished with the files you gave me from Miss Hill." I say as I look down at the stack of papers in my hands.

"I was bringing them to you, but then I didn't want to both.."

"You've already finished with them?"

I nod in response.

"Well, come in then. I want to have a look, and close the door behind you."

I follow him into his office and take a seat across from him yet again. I anxiously wait as he goes through the paperwork. He closes the file and looks at me.

"You took a file that Miss Hill had for one week, and managed to complete it in two days without any issue."

"I had to adjust a few things within it, due to some mistakes on Miss Hills part. And I added in some new marketing ideas to try and help improve the outcome of the deal. My mother used to use them in almost all of hers, and they never failed."

"So you're trying to change our approach on the marketing deals? he asked, as if I'd done something wrong.

"N-No Mr. Li."

"So you're not trying to make changes without my approval? From what you said before, I believe you are."

I begin to panick, I feel as if my heart is going to explode out of my c.h.e.s.t from beating so hard. I shuffle around in my seat, feeling a little uneasy.

"Well.. I mean I wasn't trying to change anything without your approval Mr. Li. I just figured I'd add in a few suggestions to try and improve the deal. I didn't intentionally mean to go against you, I can remove.."

"So you don't believe our deals are being represented correctly, and need to be improved to run efficiently?"

"No, I just.." I'm at a loss for words right now. What is going on?! I look down in defeat. "Sorry Mr. Li."

"Miss Reins, if I'm going to move you up in position, I'm going to need you to be a little more assertive with your decisions. If you believe our deals aren't being represented to their full potential and need improving, then make the changes. Be confident in what you're trying to accomplish. You did a fantastic job on this deal, and I love the ideas you have for it. Now I just need you to officially add in the changes, and I believe this deal will go better than I had expected."

I'm speechless once again. What just happened?! I thought I was dead meat! I try to find the right words to say, but it just won't come out.

"I.. I thought you said I needed your approval on the changes?" I finally manage to spit out.

He looks at me, showing off the most attractive smile I've ever seen. And before I know it, he's standing behind me, gripping the arms of the chair. He leans down, his mouth just an inch from my ear and whispers "Mein süßes Kätzchen, if you continue to prove your capability on the future deals like you did on this one, you'll always have my approval."

I could feel the shivers and tingles rush through my entire body at the feel of his breath on my neck and ear. They then magnified as he removed his hands from the chair, brushing against my arms as he did. What is wrong with me?! Why do I keep getting this feeling when he's near me...

What even was that anyways, was he speaking in German? I never would have guessed Mr. Li was German.. But boy did he sound s.e.xy as f.u.c.k when spoke those words. I don't know what they meant, but I wanted to hear them come from his lips again...

Mr. Li was back to sitting in his chair now, shuffling through the papers on his desk. He came across a couple new files and slid them over to me.

"I want you to start working on these as soon as possible. Make the official changes to the other deal, and bring them to me as soon you get them all finished. Is that understood Miss Reins?"

I nodded in agreement as I took the stack of files from his desk, "Yes Mr. Li, I'll get these to you as soon as possible."

With that being said, I jump up from my seat and run out of there as quick as my legs will let me. I don't stop until I get to the end of the hall, where I lean up against the wall to try and recollect myself. As I round the corner to leave, I smack into someone, and all the paper fly to floor. Shit.

"My God, don't you watch where you're walking?! You made me spill my coffee all over me new designer dress! I'll make you pay for this, you owe me a new dre.."

"Oh, it's you. New girl." I hear her scoff. I look up to see Miss Hill standing above me, wearing what was a beautifully designed red dress that definitely showed off all of her curves and best features, along with some gorgeous designer black heels. Her hair a lovely honey blonde, that fell just over her shoulders in some light beach wave curls. She definitely wasn't any eye sore. I start gathering up the papers that are now scattered across the floor as I repeatedly apologize to her, asking if there's any way I could repay her for the dress.

"You? Repaying me? This dress costs more than you make in two month, you couldn't repay me even if you wanted to" she scofs.

"Watch where you're going next time" she growls as she flips her hair and starts to walk off. Then she notices the direction in which I came, Mr. Li's office being the only room down that hallway, and steps on the last of the papers I have to pick up.

"What business do have being in Mr. Li's office at this time? He's usually gone by now." I look up at her as I try to free my papers from her hold.

"I finished with the file he gave me at the last meeting, so I went to bring it to him, and he gave me some more to start working on." She looks at me with a look of shock and disbelief.

"You finished with the file?" I nod in response.

"There's no way you've finished the file in two days" she exclaims.

"I did. And I actually found some mistakes you made while working on it, they're very common mistakes though so I wouldn't worry too much about them. And I made some changes to the deal, to better it in the end."

She just stared at me with a blank expression, and I tugged at the papers again.

"Could I please have my papers back?" I nervously ask, before she frees them from her hold.

"I don't make mistakes, first of all you little wench. And secondly, Mr. Li doesn't approve of any changes before first going over them personally. So it's best you don't try and lie to me next time, or I'll make sure you never work another day in this compa.."

"Is there something wrong here Miss Hill, Miss Reins?"

He came out of nowhere, but I couldn't be more happy to see him than I was right now. He was like my savior in this moment.

"Not at all Mr. Li!" she practically yells.

"We just had a little accident, but don't worry, I'm okay. My dress on the other hand.."

"And what about you, Miss Reins, are you okay?" he asks, cutting her off without a care. He sounded genuinely concerned. How sweet. He then extends his hand to me, and I graciously take it as he swiftly pulls me to my feet, my body just inches away from his now.

"I'm fine, thank you. I just wasn't looking where I was going, and bumped into Miss Hill by accident. I'm afraid I ruined her new dress though.."

"A dress can always be bought again, I'm more concerned about your physical well being." He says this while readjusting my blouse for me. I feel my cheeks heat up, so I shuffle my posture a bit to where I'm out of his touch.

"So, I heard that Miss Reins here had finished that file on the Dobz deal, is that correct?" Miss Hill says, finally breaking the awkward tension in the air.

"She did actually, and she improved the deal at least by 60% with the changes she applied to it. She also caught the mistakes you failed to notice."

I couln't help but smile at the fact that Miss Hill had been proven wrong. Until I saw the death glare she gave me, then I tucked that smile straight back to where it came from. She may be a beautiful woman, but her personality by far did not match up.

"Well, if everything is alright here, I'll be heading out. You ladies have a great night."

And with that, he was gone. Miss Hill quickly following behind, tossing her hair at me and giving the most evil look imaginable. Then it was just me, and my stack of papers that I now had to refile and organize. This was going to be a long night...
