~KYOMI~

The wedding was officially over. All the guests had left and it was just my parents and I now.

Well, just my parents. For this was now my home.

"Kyomi." My mother said, her tone hard to interpret for I wasn't used to it. "Remember all we have taught you, you're now a wife and will soon have your own family. Even though we may not be here with you, always remember to respect yourself and never embarrass your family." She warned.

I nodded. "I will mother." I was already used to her teachings by now, I even expected this.

I looked for my father but couldn't find him anywhere. "He's already in the car. He didn't want to say goodbye." She told me, obviously noticing that I was searching for him. "He's still angry Kyomi, but he will come around. You are his daughter after all." She assured me, her words a promise that I didn't believe she could keep. My father was indeed a stubborn man, in his eyes I wasn't worthy of being his daughter after the shame I've brought upon him. He even had to get rid of his pride and ego to safe himself from anymore embarrassment from my wrongdoings.

I tried not to cry. It was my wedding night, I needed to hold it together.

However, the thought of living in another home that I was not accustomed too completely frightened me.

What would it be like living here? Would they treat me well? Would they even like me?

Dante already treated me like a stranger ever since the night of our engagement. And now I was expected to spend the rest of my life with him.

I missed the way he acted in the past, when he was trying to get my attention. When he looked at me as though he was starving for me. I missed the way his hands felt on my body. I wanted to feel that fire burning inside of me again.

I considered talking to him but I wasn't sure that I was ready to hear his response. What if he said he was never really interested in me, that I was all just a mistake? No, I wasn't ready to have that conversation with him.

Besides, there was plenty of time for that. We practically lived together now.

As I watched my parents and sisters leave, I couldn't help but feel my heart hurt in my c.h.e.s.t. I felt alone.

I felt like I had no one by my side and it scared me.
