Legendary Shadow

Lance sent out Dragonair so that he can wear out Dragonite. Liam saw through his plan and thought that it was a good plan, but the only problem would be the level difference and that if he was unable to dodge Dragonite's attack he'll be knocked out. Lance ordered Dragonair to keep dodging as Dragonite kept sending dragon breaths towards it. Dragonite's attack almost caught up to Dragonair, but he was quite fast. Dragonite used agility and caught up to Dragonair and smashed into him with slam attack in one go. As he didn't want to waste any more time because he had expended some energy, he was getting a little tired. 

Lance sent out his next Pokémon, Aerodactyl. Liam was surprised to see the fossil-like Pokémon and remembered that his fossil Pokémon was supposed to be ready by now. As he remembered, he decided to go and get them right after they leave. Both the Pokémon charged at each other. Just when they were about to crash into each other, Aerodactyl dodged Dragonite and used wing attack right on Dragonite's back and followed up with a rock throw smashing them into Dragonite who was trying to fight them back. 

Aerodactyl did not give him any chance as he sent a hyper beam knocking him off the stage. Liam was shocked by the number of commands Lance had given Aerodactyl and thought maybe he can learn a thing or two from this battle. Liam returned Dragonite and summoned Charizard. As Charizard came out, flames flew out of his mouth. Aerodactyl didn't wait for him to settle down as he charged towards Charizard using a flamethrower. 

Charizard stood his ground as he saw that the flame coming towards him was weak. Liam knew he was being c.o.c.ky and told him to quickly counter and not to take any damage from it even though it looked weak he knew Aerodactyls were quite powerful. Charizard got a little annoyed but decided to take action and dodge the attack. He quickly flew up dodging the flamethrower and approached Aerodactyl who had no idea that Charizard had dodged his attack because the last time he had seen Charizard, he was acting c.o.c.ky and seemed like the type to not dodge. 

Charizard approached Aerodactyl grabbed him and used seismic toss to slam him into the ground. Charizard kept repeating slamming until Aerodactyl fainted. Lance was shocked by Charizard's aggressive attacks. He had his last Pokémon available which was a powerful Dragonite, also his 1st Pokémon ever. He asked Liam if he was ready and Liam simply nodded as he sent out his Dragonite. The Pokeball that Lance used was a special kind and it seemed like it had claws and dragons printed on it. 

When Dragonite came out, the pressure that he emulated made even Charizard shriek back a little, but Liam quickly told him to stand his ground and told him to go all out in this battle, but before he could do anything, Dragonite had appeared behind Charizard and simply used his tail to whack him away. Charizard was about to fall off the stage but quickly flapped his wings and floated up into the air. Dragonite smirked at this as he thought he was going to get an easy win, but he realized that Charizard was stronger than he thought. 

Charizard used smokescreen and unleashed his devil form, Lance couldn't see anything, so he didn't know what was happening, but Dragonite sensed the boost in Charizard's power and got a little excited. He thought that he would definitely get a good battle, as he got out of his thoughts, Liam asked Lance if he used this Dragonite against Gary and Ash. Lance said yes and that they were able to defeat this Dragonite because they used his weakness against him causing Liam to understand but this Dragonite, even if it had a weakness it would still be able to withstand any attacks from any Pokémon thought Liam.

The battle continued as Charizard had charged towards Dragonite after finishing his transformation. They both crashed into each other and unleashed dragon breath on each other pushing them both away also clearing up the smokescreen. When Lance saw Charizard had a different form, he was surprised and smirked as he said, "I see you still have a few tricks up your sleeve. I'm not gonna ask you any questions but I just want a good battle. If this transformation can give me a good battle, then I'm all for it." 

Lance then asked Dragonite to use hyper beam just to test the strength of Charizard. Charizard returned fire with his own hyper beam, but Dragonite's hyper beam was way stronger as it continued to push Charizard away from the stage. Charizard started to get angry at his own weakness and his transformation had further evolved through this. His horns had grown longer, and his skills grew stronger. His hyper beam's power had also increased as it started pushing back Dragonite who was surprised to find himself being pushed back instead. 

He also turned it up a notch and they came at a standstill. As they tried to over-power each other, they realized that they were expending too much energy so they both just canceled out their attacks and had a mutual understanding as they caught their breath and got ready for the next round. Charizard prepared his next attack as he flew towards Dragonite who used Dragonbreath. Charizard flipped up in the air and dodged. He then used a flamethrower and Dragonite used his own flamethrower as they combined and exploded. 

Dragonite had gotten tired of this battle. As he grew bored, he used agility to speed up while Charizard sent out a fire blast attack. Dragonite dodged the attack and used a hydro pump to blast Charizard away. This attack caused Charizard to faint as he was already exhausted from expending too much of his devil energy.
