"Aish, whatever. Being able to bring items in from real life is already good enough. I shouldn't be biting off more than I can chew." Xia Shishu closed his items panel.

Before he closed his items panel, though, Xia Shishu switched out his Immortal Cosplaying set into his Modern Low Tier Suit Set.

A bright light flickered on his body and a black tuxedo covered his body, making him look quite dashing. This was his best clothing item. Its stats were better than the Immortal Cosplaying set, and it looks a million times better than the beginner rag that he was wearing.

As always, the streets of Silver Lake Village are filled with players. Even though the update had allowed players to level up faster so that they can leave the village, there were still plenty of players still trying to get to level 10.

Most of them were busy running around doing quests, but they still have time to peep at Xia Shishu's tux as he passed them.

Quite frankly, Xia Shishu's outfit doesn't fit the setting. But after seeing him, light bulbs lit up in some player's head and they hurried off to try and find similar outfits.

"Anyways, I need to go outside the gate today." Xia Shishu made a commitment. Last time, he had stayed inside the village because he was being hunted down by that female ghost from his quest.

Although he did make quite a lot of money, the amount of EXP he gained is so little that it almost made him tear up. Hence, he is going outside the gate to gain EXP from fighting today regardless if the ghost lady hunts him or not.

But first, Xia Shishu made his way towards the village elder's house to try and get some quests. If he just went out and start killing monsters without extra rewards, then he is losing out big!

As Xia Shishu neared the Village Elder's house, he could see the little girl playing by herself outside the village elder's house with a wooden ball.

"Hey, Little Niu! You seem quite healthy today!" Xia Shishu waved at the little girl and approached her with a smiley face.

"Oh! Hello, mister! Thank you for saving me." Niu Qiqi halted her playing before thanking Xia Shishu with a bow of gratitude. Afterward, she got up and observed his tux attentively as it looks neat.

"Heh. Heh! No problem at all! If I have the power, and I don't use it to save others, then what is power even used for?" Xia Shishu almost instinctively placed his hands behind his back as he flexed in front of the little girl.

"Mister, are you here to look for my father?" Niu Qiqi inquired.

"Yup! I want to ask if he has a quest for me."

"Oh… But he is not home right now, mister. He said that he has to go to the village center again today." Niu Qiqi seemed a bit apologetic. Too bad her father couldn't meet her savior.

"Well… It's okay." Xia Shishu said, albeit a little disappointed. Since the village elder isn't home, then he just won't ask for a quest from the village elder. Turning back and heading towards to fight for quests in the village center is a pain anyways.

Then, a great idea popped up in his mind.

"Hey, little Niu. Since your father isn't home to give me quests, how about you give me quests?" Xia Shishu asked with brightened eyes.

"Uhh… Mister, I still don't know what this quest thing you keep talking about is…" She honestly replied, confused.

"Don't worry! I'll explain it to you." Xia Shishu smirked. If he had a hand fan right now, he totally would've opened it to look like an immortal scholar.

"A quest is when you ask for me to do something. In return, you give me a reward!" Xia Shishu explained with enthusiasm.

"Hmmm." Niu Qiqi cutely placed her thumb and index finger on her smooth chin as she looked down towards the ground to ponder.

"If that's the case, then okay! Mister, how about I give you five copper coins and umm… err… wait here." Niu Qiqi ran into her house and came out with something wrapped in a cloth.

She opened the cloth and took out a white heart-shaped stone just big enough to fit her small hand. She had previously found the white stone in the river where she usually played with the other kids.

Proudly, she showed Xia Shishu the coins and the white rock on each of her hands. "Five copper coins and this heart-shaped stone!" She stated.

"Mmh! That works! So what do you want me to do?" Xia Shishu asked. Five copper is still money, and the rock looks pretty, thus he accepted her proposal without hesitation.

"Mister, you saved me, so you must be strong. Can you go to the northern forest to capture a violet bird for me? I've always wanted to go and get one myself, but my parents keep saying that only strong people can go up there." She gazed at Xia Shishu's eyes with anticipation like a girl begging her mom at the store.

"Deal! Just you wait, little Niu. I'll get you that bird." Xia Shishu gently patted her head.

[Ding! You have received a quest: Capture a violet bird! (Difficulty Level: D)]

[Quest Description: Go to the northern forest and capture a violet bird for Niu Qiqi. Failure in completing the quest will make Niu Qiqi sad.

Progress: violet bird captured: (0/1)]

A prompt popped up, and Xia Shishu gave it a quick glance. All seems normal. The difficulty level wasn't as high as yesterday, so everything should be alright.

"Yay! Thank you, mister! You're the best! I've asked my uncle and my dad's friends to get me a violet bird, but they always refused. I'll wait for you, okay?" Little Niu gave Xia Shishu a delighted smile.

"Sure. Wait for me, and listen to your parents. Don't go to the backwoods, okay?" Xia Shishu warned her before heading off.

The lady from yesterday had scared him quite a bit, but having a little girl meet the lady is scarier in his mind. At least he can still use his ultimate log out skill. NPCs will get caught! So, he warned Niu Qiqi to not go into the backwoods.

"En. I understand, mister. My parents had said that a hundred thousand times!" She opened her arms wide to exaggerate how much she was warned to not go to the backwoods.

"Well. That's good then. Just stay near your house for now and wait for your violet bird!" After saying this, Xia Shishu went towards the village gate to officially start his second day in Second Reality!
