A man rushed past an alley and staggered to a stop while people came out of the shadows, guns trained on him.

A bang rang out and the man toppled to the ground and twitched in agony as if his c.h.e.s.t was pierced through by a branding iron.

Blood pooled beneath him as he lied there, looking at the man who shot him in hate.

"You sc.u.ms, I'll kill you!" He said as his eyes burned with rage.

"Kill us, please, you'll be dead in a moment anyway." The man who shot him tapped the pistol against his head and smiled maliciously as he placed his foot on the bullet wound and started to apply pressure.

Applying force gently at first, and then increasing it, caused the man to writhe and scream on the ground.

"Jack, you should have never crossed our Young Master, you dying is your own fault." Isiah smiled and said while removing his foot and aiming his gun at Jack's head.

Jack closed his deep black eyes and exhaled, but the bang never came, instead he heard a sweet voice, charming like a siren, and filled with infinite l.u.s.t.

"If you want revenge, I can grant you the power and authority, just one tiny problem."

Jack opened his eyes and saw an angel with emerald hair and a halo of light surrounding her as she looked down at him while her wings flapped behind her. Her wings opened displaying their full angelic glory.

Zena smiled ruefully and landed next to him while inwardly smiling at her luck.

'I didn't even fly far and I already found such a perfect soul.'

Jack looked at her eyes and saw nothing, her eyes were as calm and placid as a lake.

"I want to get revenge! I want to kill Derrick! Their trash young master." Realizing something strange, he turned to look at the men who were trying to kill him and saw them frozen in their previous positions, eyes glazed over as they stood motionlessly.

'And them, I suppose?' Zena asked with a slight smile.

Looking up at the angel, he realized that it was an angel, a pure creature, how could it help him take revenge?

He gritted his teeth and asked her a question, ignoring the searing pain in his c.h.e.s.t.

"I need to kill someone, can you help me?"

Zena raised her eyebrows and just when he feared she'd say no, she smiled and nodded and pointed at his c.h.e.s.t.

"I'll use your soul as collateral, is that okay?" He lost himself in her voice and found himself nodding unconsciously.

"Good." She landed on the ground and closed her wings.

"I, Zena Epi, swear to grant Jack Veres the power to take his own revenge."

She touched his c.h.e.s.t as light encapsulated him and healed the wound.

A trumpet blared out in his mind and when he came to he was standing with a gun in hand, aiming at the leader while they sat on the floor with a dazed expression on their faces.
