Love Will Lead You Back

Laura came in and saw her smiling proudly so she looked where her eyes were fixed. "Hmm, so, how are you feeling? Do you think we can leave the hospital soon? You are holding us up. Nathan is not happy about it, but there is nothing he can do." She said in a very unfriendly manner and tone.

"I can sense that you don't like me. Is it because I'm your half-sister? Or is it because of my boyfriend?" Ji An replied with such an attitude not wanting to lose to her.

Laura didn't expect that at all from her. "And who do you think you are?" She glared at Ji An crossing her arms and smirked, "Are you just faking your amnesia and just clinging to him grabbing an opportunity to be with him or his money?

Ji An walked to Laura and stopped in front of her, they had intense eye to eye contact, "For a start, I'm still your sister whether you like it or not. Secondly, I'm Nathan's girlfriend whether you like it or not. I think, you are jealous of me, and I also think that you are happy that I lost my memory, you probably thought that Nathan will abandon me." she smiled at her like she felt sorry for Laura but mocking her as well. Ji An let out a little laugh to provoke her.

Laura never felt so anxious and disturbed until that moment. The feeling of humiliation engulfed her. Nobody has talked to her in such a manner until this woman in front of her. She lifted her arm and gave Ji An a hard slap. At that moment, Nathan opened the door and saw the part where Laura slapped Ji An.

"Laura!" he ran to Ji An and touched her red cheek that got slapped. "Are you okay?" he rubbed her face gently. "What happened?" he looked very concerned and asked Ji An.

Ji An looked at him and smiled, "I'm okay. My sister is not. I figured she disliked me, so I asked her why. She asked me who do I think I am. So I told her I'm her sister and your girlfriend. For some reason, it upset her so she slapped me."

"Nathan, can we talk first?" Laura spoke after Ji An while she was looking at Nathan waiting for his glance at her.

"Of course, Laura. We will talk." he replied sternly while he smiled at Ji An, "Baby, I'll talk to your sister first. I'll be back soon, okay." he then kissed her forehead and gave her a hug. He was drawn on treating Ji An nicely and almost like an impulse to give her a kiss.

Laura headed out first after she witnessed the whole comforting scene from Nathan to the stranger he barely knew. He followed shortly after. They went to the garden of the hospital and talked there.

"What was that all about Laura? Do you really have to do that to your sister?"

"For God sake Nathan, she is not my sister! Never was and never will be! She is rude and has an attitude problem, she is bitching me full on! Should I put up with that too?"

"It's your idea to be her sister, in case you have forgotten."

"Do you really have to show your affection towards her? This is not like you at all! Do you like her now?" She crossed her arms, "She is a stranger to us. You don't know what her motives are. She is no one!"

"Stop this Laura, it's none of your business."

"Of course it's my business! You don't know who she is, is it because she's pretty? Am I not pretty in your eyes?"

Nathan looked confused, "What does it have to do with you whether she's pretty or not in my eyes? Why involve yourself in this?"

Ji An saw them from her window. She is not sure what to make of their behaviour and then…

Laura looked at him with her emotions running high, "Are you really that dense? You don't know?" She then moved swiftly and wrapped her arms around his neck. Her eyes gazed in his, "I love you, Nathan Smith." Her lips touched his and she kissed him with all her heart.

He was caught off guard and couldn't react fast enough when he realized what she did, he immediately pushed her away, " What are you doing? What are you thinking? You are like a sister to me. Don't ruin this!" He left her in a hurry and went back to Ji An's room.

Ji An saw what Laura did, she also saw how he responded to her. There is no doubt in her heart and in her mind, Nathan is her boyfriend and she must trust in him. He will give her all the memories she lost and not her so-called sister.

Nathan entered her room and she was lying on her bed. "Hey Baby, I think I can leave tomorrow. I'm ready to go home. Can you take me home?

He nodded, "Okay but it will take some time to take you back to America. We'll just stay in a hotel for now, for a few days, then we should be good to go."

"Okay!" She smiled excitedly, "I saw you on the news today. You looked so handsome." She stood up and went to hug him. "I saw what Laura did."

"It's not what you—"

"Shh…" she stopped him talking with her finger on his lips. "I know. I saw it all." Her eyes gazed at his, "I will only believe in you, I will trust you with my life. I love you, Baby." She then kissed him sweetly and passionately.

Again, he was surprised, but he didn't push her away as he did to Laura. Instead, he touched her face and gently parted their lips. "You should rest now, it's getting late. I'll be here early tomorrow. Goodnight Jane." He doesn't know what it is but somehow, he felt happy with what she said and did.

She hugged him tightly, "I love you, Nathan Smith. Goodnight."
