Love Will Lead You Back

She looked at him as well but upon seeing his face, for some reason, her eyes were drawn to his lips. 'How are those lips so attractive? When can I have a taste of it?' She wasn't saying anything, just stared at his lips.

Cheng Ze noticed where she was gazing at and he was trying to read what's going through her mind. But he couldn't take it any longer, his father and her mother plus Sofia were there, he cannot just kiss her and expect everything will be okay. He coughed, cleared his throat and said, "Ji An, are you okay?"

He touched her face and woke Ji An up from her l.u.s.ty thoughts of him, "Oh... I'm sorry." she then looked at her food, "What are we talking about again— Oh yes... I'm moving on Saturday." She announced casually, "Just bring Sofia straight to our new house. I'll give you the address after dinner." She focused on her food and tried ignore her mother's gaze at her and her l.u.s.ty thoughts towards Cheng Ze.

'That's right my daughter. You won't be able to hold back your emotions and feelings towards him. Soon you will fall for him really hard. Just hurry up and get married already.' In Meiling's thoughts, she then spoke, "Ji An, how about having a housewarming party in your new home instead of a welcome party here?"

"Ma, I think it's not important we can—"

"I think it's a good idea! I will invite our old friends. Take it as a simple gathering as well or a little reunion. What do you think?" Cheng Ze b.u.t.t in not letting her finished what she has to say.

Ji An thought it could be a help to her little clinic she's planning to open so she agreed to Madam Gu and Cheng Ze's idea. "Okay, we can probably do the housewarming party on Sunday?"

"I'll prepare for everything. Give me your new address and I'll sort everything out. You don't have to worry about it." She looked at Gu Feng, "Did you hear that! All of us will go there, Gu Feng."

"Okay, Okay." He looked at Ji An, "Are you really divorced with Sofia's father?" He suddenly blurted out of nowhere.

Ji An was startled with his sudden question "Ahh— Well- Yes, Uncle Gu Feng."

Gu Feng nodded, "Do you like my son?"

Ji An looked at him puzzled and shocked "Uncle Gu— Cheng Ze and I are bro—"

Cheng Ze noticed Ji An's reaction and he is not prepared for the next word she was about to say, "Dad, what's all this? Are you pairing me up with her now?" Inside his head, he was jumping in happiness.

"Mother, I'll head up first with Sofia. She still has school tomorrow." Ji An excused herself trying to escape the conversation. The idea of him and Cheng Ze as a couple made her blush. 'If it's only possible, but he is engaged. I cannot be the third party in their relationship.' The sudden sadness embraced her, remembering that he was engaged with another woman for years.

"Mummy why is your face red? Are you unwell?" Sofia didn't held back when she noticed her mummy's face.

"Oh, you little girl. You notice every single thing. Let's go wash and sleep okay." She pinch her cute nose slightly.

Friday's gone fast and it's now Saturday. Cheng Ze woke up early. He's not quite sure if he was feeling excited or nervous. Today is the first day of finding out if Sofia is really his.

Ji An got Sofia ready and put on a nice dress for Sofia. She was wearing a pink dress with some prints on the lower part of the dress. Ji An tied a bow at the back on Sofia's waist. She really looks like a proper little lady. Ji An tied Sofia's long hair into a double-twisted hair-wrapped ponytail, making her look simple and yet classy.

Cheng Ze waited for Sofia downstairs and was sitting down on the couch. Sofia and Ji An came down and Cheng Ze smiled, "Wow! My date is so pretty. You look like your mummy when she was little." He then looked at Ji An smiling sweetly.

"What do you mean she looked like me when I was little? She probably looks like her fath—" she stopped and looked at Sofia, "You should go, eat food okay." Ji An knelt down and talked to Sofia seriously, "Don't give Uncle Cheng Ze trouble okay? Don't be picky with food and stay with him." She then kissed Sofia and let her go to Cheng Ze.

"Do you really think I'll starve her?" He laughed. "I'll die first before anything can happen to her." He walked to Ji An, "Am I not going to get a kiss from you?" Looking at her eyes lovingly.

It made Ji An blush. She remembered her dream about Cheng Ze kissing her making her unable to look at his eyes, so she looked down instead. "You better go so you can come back early. Don't forget to bring her to our new house. I'll message you the address. And drive safely."

He went closer and whisper on her ears, "I can only do that if you give me a kiss."
