Drive faster! This was the only thing in Bella Lim's mind. She knew the closest safest area was Eric Wu's villa. She needed to reach there to ensure their safety!

At this moment, Bella Lim was thankful for the motorbike she was riding. Escaper 117 was meant for racers. The speed could easily reach 350 mph. This could top even the fastest speed of a normal car. 

Bella Lim saw a glimmer of hope! The motorbike began to accelerate. 40 mph… 50 mph… 60 mph…

'Huh?' she frowned when the speed stopped at 60 mph. She hit on the accelerator pedal again but the result was still the same. The speed couldn't go beyond 60 mph. It seemed that it had reached its limit or...

"What the hell!" Bella Lim screamed. Her anxiety was now at an alarming point. She bit her lower lip to regain a clarity of mind.

Bella Lim couldn't believe that such a powerful motorbike had a speed limit of 60 mph. This could only be possible with a speed limiter. 

'Why! Why must they installed a limiter!' Bella Lim saw the limiter icon on the dashboard and felt like slamming her head onto it. She tapped on the icon and realized that to remove the limiter a password was required.

Bella Lim's eyes were now focused on the road while her brain was working hard to think of a solution. She looked at the side mirror and exhaled in relief. She hoped the black car would not go after them. Still, she knew she couldn't be careless.

Now, all she needed to know was the password to momentarily remove the limiter. Thinking up to this point, Bella Lim thought of Eric Wu. She didn't know why but she believed it was his idea to install the limiter. She was confident that he also knew the password.

She was glad she had set a quick dial for Eric Wu's contact number. She hit the number zero on her phone's screen and soon heard the ringing sound in the Bluetooth speaker in her left ear.

She glanced at the side mirror and was shocked to see a familiar black car was speeding up to them. Bella Lim squeezed little pumpkin's hand, requesting him to hold tight. The other responded accordingly.

At that time, the phone call was connected.

"Mr. Eric!" she called the man in such a loud voice. At this moment, she was only thinking about her and little pumpkin's safety. She knew anytime the black car could intercept them if the limiter wasn't removed.

"Miss Bella?" she heard Eric Wu's questioning voice.

"Mr. Eric, what's the limiter password?" she asked impatiently. Two seconds and there was still no answer.

"God damn! Give me the password now. What kind of Escaper needs a limiter!" Bella Lim yelled. She felt that Eric Wu's action was too slow, she lost her patience.

"117009," 

Upon getting the password, Bella Lim immediately punched the numbers onto the screen. She was ready to accelerate but then a one-minute countdown appeared.

"Shit!" Bella Lim cursed, unaware that the call was still ongoing.

Bella Lim couldn't afford to lose focus as their life was basically hanging on a tiny thread. At that moment, the black car plate number was visible to her. This meant that it was getting closer!

'God!' Bella Lim exclaimed in fear. She focused on the road while impatiently waited for the limiter countdown to end. 

"Miss Bella, do you see the plate number of the car that was following you?" 

Bella Lim was taken aback. She finally realized that she was still on call with Eric Wu.

But, how did he knew that someone was following them? Still, she was delighted. In fact, she should've told him about it sooner. This man... this man could help her!

"Miss Bella!" this time it was Eric Wu who sounded impatient. 

"XJ20D" she answered.

Suddenly, a horn resounded in the air. Bella Lim could tell that it came from the car behind. Her heart clenched in unspeakable anguish as she realized that it was only a matter of time until the black car catches up to them.

She looked at the screen and cursed when the countdown hadn't reached zero. She glanced at the side mirror and saw a head popped out from the passenger seat. The man was holding a gun with a smirk on his face!

"Miss Bella, ready to speed up! I'll cover you,"

No, we'll die at this rate… the man, he was about to pull the trigger…

Wait...he said he'd cover her?

"Now!" Eric Wu's voice was like an undeniable force that pulled Bella Lim from her despair. She stepped on the accelerator and swiftly changed gear. She had to do it manually as she needed to reach the highest speed possible.

"Pumpkin hang on!" she screamed at the top of her lung. There was a sharp turn ahead and Bella Lim thought that this was the perfect chance to get rid of her enemies. Without dropping her speed, she made a hellish cornering. A screeching sound pierced through the air, yet Bella Lim successfully made the turn.

Then, she heard the sound of the gun!

'Little pumpkin!' she cried out. D-did the gun hit little pumpkin? Didn't she manage to get rid of the black car?

Bella Lim felt her body weakened as both hands that were holding both handles loosened.

"Miss Bella don't worry. I'm behind you," 

Huh? 

"Your brother is safe. The gun was mine,"

"It yours..." Bella Lim laughed sporadically as she focused on her maneuver. She calmed down at his assurance. This man, whatever he said, she believed them.

Bella Lim's calming down helped her to notice that little pumpkin was squeezing her three times. She was elated… this was the signal telling her that little pumpkin was okay. She looked at the side mirror and saw little pumpkin's big eyes narrowed and a nod followed after. He was telling her that he was fine.

Bella Lim exhaled. They were saved!

"Mr. Eric?" Bella Lim noticed that instead of a black car, a red motorbike was now trailing behind her. She slowed down to see who was riding the red motorbike. At the same time, she internally squealed after ascertaining that the red motorbike was the real Escaper 117!

At a glance, Bella Lim could tell that the rider was Eric Wu! His impressive physique was the one that gave him away. She saw his motorbike's spotlight flashed once. 

"T-thank you," she acknowledged. A grateful smile on her face.

"When will you stop stuttering?" Eric Wu's voice entered her ear. She chuckled.

"I-I hope it'll be soon," she replied and heard the man chuckled in return. Bella Lim felt her heart getting warmer. Why was it? in the moment of despair, this man would always be there to help her? Six years ago, he was there too...

"W-where is the black car?" she asked as her eyes tried to find the black car behind.

"Slipped away. Btw, Miss Bella, you seemed to know a lot of things about me,"

Bella Lim coughed as soon as she heard him. She subconsciously increased her motorbike's speed.

"Running away now? You do know that you're heading to my house?"

Bella Lim was speechless. Was this man teasing or threatening her?

"W-what are you talking about?" she could only stay oblivion.

"Well, we'll revisit this issue later. Right now you really need to slow down. The house is just in front of you. Be careful with the fountain," Eric Wu's amused voice rang. 

In that instant, Bella Lim also heard little pumpkin screamed, "Big sis, slow down!!"

Alarmed, Bella Lim swiftly dropped gears and made a swift turn. To her, it was the only way to avoid crashing into the water fountain in front of them. Yet, to the people who were watching her, such maneuvering could only be pulled by a professional racer!

Tao was outside and saw the whole incident. He froze!

Sun Nan and Lu Fei who was watching the whole stunt on a big screen inside the house had their mouth opened to the size of an egg!

Eric Wu unexpectedly was the only one who looked calm, only his lips slanted to one side. Eyes were looking sharply at the woman who was now helping her little brother getting off of the motorbike.
