My Life Jumping Worlds

The contestant's file in slowly, looking at all the cooking stations. I notice immediately that Hisoka is blasting a ton of directed killing intent at Menchie and Buera while acting casual. He is going to ruin it for everyone. On purpose.

I sigh and get ready to waste my time.

"The first dish is roast pork." The big man named Buera shouts, slapping is stomach like a gong, causing a literal gong sound to resonate throughout the area.

We rush out, searching for a large boar with a huge snout. With our ability to sense our surroundings with En we immediately find a large amount of them, killing 4, field stripping, and gutting along with moving back towards the cooking stations.

We quickly roast the pork and create a barbeque sauce out of local safe herbs.

All four of us pass the first cooking challenge before anyone else even arrives.

Unlike in the anime, Buera fails a lot of the contestants, due to the fact they don't stand up to the previous standard. I honestly don't understand what changed.

"The next test, Is sushi!" Menchie calls out, as Keiko gets a savage grin at the announcement.

only 5 of the contestants, including us, knew what sushi was.

Moving forward, We quickly and quietly get some fresh-water eels, skin them, scale them, and make them into some fresh sushi, with different sauces. only Yusuke Fails, for some reason.

Then, she fails everyone else, as the ninja who made the last sushi dish calls out, "This isn't fair! how are we supposed to create a dish that requires years to learn how to make properly?!" flexing his fingers in a bunch of different ways.

Enraged, one of the participants comes up and tries to attack Menchie, only to be heavily slapped away by Buera.

"Why did you do that?" Menchie asks Buera.

"Because if I didn't push him away, you would have killed him." He responds.

A blimp appears suddenly above us as if de-cloaking from stealth and an old man drops to the ground creating a large crater. I notice that he used a small application of Ken to reduce the damage of the fall to literally nothing.

"I don't think it's appropriate to only have 3 contestants pass the hunter exam, especially after only 2 phases." The old man says as Hisoka's killing intent fades completely.

"Chairman Netero..." Menchie, says, contemplating her actions.

"I suppose I was too harsh in the requirements. Could we borrow the Airship and head to mount split-in-half?" She grins.

"Oh, I see what you are up to."

All 30 contestants that were not failed by Buara were Brought into the area with the mountain, that looked like it was cleaved in half by some calamity.

Menchie explains that we need to get an egg from the middle of the next in the canyons. 3 of the 30 people refuse, leaving 27 people to jump down and get them. That is until it turns into 24 after being told that everyone except Yusuke was excused from this, due to our mastery of sushi.

"Don't worry, I'll get you some too." Yusuke grins.

5 minutes later, and I'm eating the best egg I've ever eaten. it's like some kinda drug. I swear. Its taste is something I can't describe so I won't try.

27 people passed, unlike the 42 in the Canon timeline. everyone important including Killua, Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio. Hisoka and The disguised Illumi calling himself Gitturacker.

Even Pokkle and the Ninja made it. We are then boarded onto the airship. "Take us to Zevil Island," I overhear the chairman say. I guess we're skipping trick tower, due to the lack of contestants.
