My New Isekai!

Chapter 11 - The Capital

It didn't take us much longer to make it to the front entrance. There were two guards. So, I walked to them and told them that we were here for a quest. It took a bit, but we made it in.

The inside was normal. The only big difference I'm used to is the amount of people, and the fact there was a castle in the middle of everything. All these people were mostly dressed nicely - exception: me.

"I feel so out of place here...!" I said to Kura.

"Yeah, me too," Kura responded. "All we need to do is head towards the castle?"

"Maybe, we should find a place to stay, but first we should probably head there."

Kura and I were strolling towards it, but something didn't seem right in the corner of my eye. There were two blonde girls being brought into an alley by shady looking people. I quickly ran to see what was going on.

"Wait for me, Haru!" Kura shouted out of breathe.

I immediately covered her mouth with my hand, "Shhh."

She looked confused, then I brought her over to the spot. We saw something I never would've imagined. One of the ladies had beaten all the guys senseless, all bloodied up. The other girl was standing there, looking disappointed for some reason.

Kura uncovered my hand from over her mouth, "What the hell just happened?" She whispered.

"You act like I'd know," I sarcastically whispered back.

Kura stepped a few steps back, looking as if she was about to do something. Then suddenly, she started walking up them. I actually freaked out when I saw it and ran up next to her, getting emotionally prepared before talking to them.

We weren't that far away from them but it felt as if it took years to confront them. There was also obvious symptoms to show how nervous I was.

The girl who beat the guys bloody turned around and saw us, "Oh. It looks as if someone saw this little 'accident'."

All color drained from my face. I'm not good in general at conversations, especially if it's with a person like this.

"Y- yeah," I stuttered.

Kura clearly saw that I couldn't handle this on my own. She quickly said, "My friend over here saw you girls walking into this alley and he ran off to try and be a hero. Now, as you can tell, he's totally flabbergasted."

They looked at me, then laughed, "This guy, a hero?"

Kura shaked her head. I was personally standing there offended she would think something like that.
