My New Isekai!

Chapter 27 - An Interrogation on These Poor Men

I woke up, extremely dizzy.

"Haru," Kura exclaimed. "Thank you for being alive!"

She said this with a tears in her eyes. I got up and looked around me. For some reason, I felt really dizzy, weak, and fatigued. (All are a sign of blood loss.)

"After you binded the two of them, dad binded them up with an even stronger rope, and the one you used your skill on, died," Kura said, still covered in tears.

"How long was I out for," I asked.

"For a day and a half," Kura stated. "I was so worried about you the whole time. I could barley eat."

"Awh, thank you for caring about me," I said while trying to get a smile out of my mouth. It wouldn't function properly.

"Don't force yourself to try and smile," Kura said. "You just woke up, you need to wait for your blood to do the same."

Now that I try to feel my body, the only part that isn't asleep is my arm that got slashed. (If you didn't know, your arm being asleep is a result of the blood flow being cut off to a certain body point - in Haru's case, it is his whole body except the one body part that has been getting constantly being filled up with blood cells.)

I moved around my legs, and to my surprise, felt stinging every-time they bumped into each other or something else entirely.

Soon enough, I could feel my legs again. Next, I did it to my left arm, Kura helped me with it.

"Thank you," I said stretching my arm out.

"Don't worry," Kura said, "but please never do that again, and don't move your right arm for a while. It needs to heal."

"Yeah, I know that," I said, "but I still have to move around, I am not even dominant in my right hand."

"Oh, so your left handed," Kura asked.

"Yeah, so, I don't really need the sympathy for the arm," I said.

"Oh...," Kura stayed in silence after that.

I nodded my head as I tried to get off the bed. Once touching my feet on the ground, I felt a sharp sting go through my leg all the way to my spine. Kura put my arm across her back and carried me over her shoulder as we headed towards were Kazuma and Megumin were.

"Oh, you're finally awake," Kazuma said.

"Yeah, good morning," I said in the form of a question.

"It's mid-day, my dude," he said.

"Oh, okay," I said.

When I looked past Kazuma, I saw the two assassins. They were both binded.

"They haven't gave us any information yet," Kazuma said.

"Oh...," I gave an evil grin, "I got just the solution."

With the same evil grin on my face, Kura and I wobbled towards the two men.

"Hey," I said mockingly, "have you two ever experienced a 'near death experience'?"

They shaked their heads no while shaking intensely.

"Well well well," I said. "I guess we're gonna have to make these men 'grow up'."

I raised my left hand towards the two men, "Remember how I killed your little friend," I asked. "Should I do the same to you two?"

At this point, I was liking this feeling. It was like when I was a little kid. Not really caring about what people thought of me - before I became a shut-in.

"Curs–" I said getting cut off by the leader of the men.

"Please, stop," the leader exclaimed.

"That's what I thought, tell me, who set you up for this," I asked taking his mask off.

"I can't tell you that," he exclaimed with fear running across his face.

"Looki' here, you made my week when your friend slashed my arm...Wait, Kazuma," I said trying to get his attention.

"Yes, I'm Kazuma," he said.

"Can you bring me a knife or something," I asked.

"Look here, you're not gonna do that inside here," he said. "Kura, can you help Haru outside? I am going to get these two outside."

"Thank you, Kazuma, and Kura," I said. "Now, this is your last chance, tell me who sent you."

The assassin leader seemed to crack at his life being threatened, "Look man, I have children," he announced. "Don't kill us!"

"Who says I don't have a mom, or a dad," I asked. "You didn't seem to care about them when you were trying to kill me."

"Yes, I know, but this is our job," the men stated. "If we tell you who paid us to do this, will you let us go?!"

"Depends," I started. "Five seconds, tell me."

"Okay, okay," he exclaimed. "The person who sent us is named Haisha."

Kazuma and I both bursted out laughing, "So, what you're saying is, the person who hired you is named Haisha," I asked.

"Yes," the man said.

I blurted out some more laughs, "You know what, I'll let you go," I stated, "but if you try to do anything ridiculous when my back is turned, I won't hesitate to kill you."

To be honest, this was coming out of my a.s.s. I wasn't going to do anything. I could barley hide the fact that I was scared beyond imagine.

Kazuma un-binded the two, and they ran like absolute hell. While they did so, I cut off my facade.

"How did I do," I asked towards Kazuma.

"If I had to give you a score out of a hundred, I'd give a good eighty-seven points," Kazuma announced.

"Let's go," I exclaimed pushing my left arm in the arm with a fist.

"I thought you was being dead serious," Kura said. "I was expecting you to actually kill those two!"

"I mean, if they attacked again, I don't know what would happen," I said.

"Okay, I can already tell that that's not gonna be the last of them," Kazuma stated.

"Yeah, we have to get rid of this Haisha guy."

"You're right, but, we don't have to just yet, they're gonna lay off for a while," he said.

"Does that mean I can station myself here until my arm is better," I asked.

Kazuma nodded his head, and I felt relieved. I can finally take a break after all this stressful times.
