My New Isekai!

Chapter 46 - These Adventurers Go on A Trip!

Charlotte soon got onto the carriage again.

"So... how are you going to clean that...stuff off," I asked.

"Oh, yeah, I hope there's water at some point in time."

I gave an emotionless, but scared look.

I went up to the person who drove the carriage and told him we were ready to move again.

Once moving, I sat still. Not doing anything, and I have to tell you, it's completely and utterly boring!

Suddenly, though, "Hey, Haru," Polly announced.

"Hmm?" I hummed moving my vision to her.

"How did you easily defeat those enemies?"

"Umm, I don't know?"

"""Cut the shit,""" all three girls yelled out.

I recoiled at the sound of them. "Calm down, it's nothing that special!"

"""If it's not special, tell us."""

I sighed, "It's my magic. Come out, Zim.

At the sight of the little kid appearing out of thin air, the two sisters jumped back.

""What the hell is that?!""

Kura went and patted Zim's head. Zim didn't like that.

"Stop," Zim said in his grovely voice.

"Sorry, sorry." Kura laughed at his reaction.

"Well," I announced. "This is Zim, and he's the reason I win most of my fights."

"So, you're saying that this kid is your main attack?"

"Yes, but I do attack people without him. He is just my main support."

"Sounds like you're a coward." Polly mentioned out loud.

This triggered one of my pet-peeves. "Look here, you. You might look, and have some amazing assets, but that does not mean you can talk down to me." I said looking at her inappropriately.

Kura knocked me upside the head, "Ah ah, that's not nice, Haru."

"What the hell was that for?!" I asked loudly.

"You be well know what's it for!"

I tried to play it off like I didn't know anything, but Kura saw through my cheap tricks. "Don't even try it." she mentioned out of the silence.

"Fine," I said putting my head down in shame that I got bested by Kura of all people.

"You seem awfully obedient right now." Polly mentioned looking at my body actions.

"You noticed? Well, it can't be helped anymore. I'm on strike." I said in the crowd of girls.

"""What…?""" the girls girls asked in unison.

"Like I said, I'm on strike. I'm not using Zim for the rest of the quest."

"Wait, what?" Zim said still out on the real world.

I ignored what he said and made him go back inside me. I held in the fierce pain that always surprised me. The girls stood there, either in shock, or gauking at me for being stupid.

They soon sat down in their seats again, and didn't talk to me. To be honest, having this happen feels surprisingly really awkward.

I didn't want to break the silence, if I did, I don't know what we would talk about. That'd make it even more awkward and weird for us. So, we all sat in our places, and didn't talk to each other until night.

When I finished making a campfire for our group to lay by, I heard Charlotte mention to everyone, "You might want to keep one of your eyes open tonight, or else."

I didn't believe it, she wasn't setting off the Enemy Detection, so I knew she was all talk in that announcement.

I soon made my own little sleeping bag and laid in the grass. I tried to sleep, but couldn't do it. Having a home bed, and sleeping in it daily sets a toll on me. Whenever I don't sleep on a comfortable bed I feel cramped.

Suddenly, I felt fatigued randomly hit me, it was almost...painful. Once entering the dark abyss inside my mind, I flew threw the air. I waved my arms back and forth, "What the hell is happening?!" I yelled out loud, but was turned out by the sound of the wind hitting my face.

I looked towards the ground, but just saw an even deeper abyss.

"Calm down, Haru," I said to myself. "This has to be a dream, I mean, this is impossible, right?!" I started freaking myself out, hoping that this was a dream.

Next thing I know, I wake up and sat up aggressively. I breathed heavily, I pinched myself to make sure this is real.

"Haru, what's wrong?" Kura asked.

"Just...had a weird dream."

Kura sat up, "C'mere," she said.

"Uh…why…?"

"Do it quickly."

I followed her command and went to her. "Tell me about it," she said.

"Uh, it's nothing really." I said laughing to myself.

"Well, if it's to make you jump up, then, I think it is."

God...this girl can be smart sometimes. I mean, she is an Arch Mage, so it makes sense.

"Fine, I fell asleep with heavy fatigue, then once sleeping, I started falling from the sky into another dark abyss. Now, we're here…!"

"Sounds like a bad dream?" Kura said tilting her head and lowering an eyebrow.

"It was! Especially since I'm afraid of heights!" I said trying to light up the mood, even though it wasn't dark.

Kura chuckled, "That was funny, but it's fine."

"I'm not a child." I said with an annoyed face.

"I know, but sometimes, you seem like one."

She's right...I can sometimes act like a child. But she doesn't have to mention it!

"I'm going back to sleep," I said.

"Okay, goodnight. Make sure to have a good sleep."

"I'll try." I said shifting back into my makeshift bed.

I easily went to sleep this time, and nothing happened. It was soothing to have some peace and quiet. Then, woke up in the morning before everyone else.

I yawned once opening my eyes, and got off my makeshift bed.

I walked around the not lit fire, and put out anything that could attract anyone's attention.

One of the girls woke up, "Haru, good morning…" Kura said with a yawn. "What are you doing?"

"I'm just- I don't know. Better to be safe than sorry."

"Oh, makes sense. It wasn't smart to keep on the fire when we went to sleep."

"Why…?" I asked with huge concern.

"The creatures of the night could've killed us," Kura stated.

I gasped loudly, but not loud enough to wake up Polly or Charlotte. But looked at our carriage. The man who was driving it was ready at any time.

To be honest, I don't know about this quest, it hasn't really felt right ever since leaving Axel.

Next thing I know, the two twin sisters woke up. They yawned, then got up.

"Uuuuhhggg, this is early, the sun isn't even out."

I looked up towards the sky, clouds were covering the sun and the whole sky in a dark gray mist. That can only mean one sign: it's gonna rain soon.

We all got into the carriage and told the man we were ready to leave. It's gonna take up at least five more days...great.
