My Princess In The Golden Cage

Nudging the door open, he sauntered inside the room.

A single glimpse of the room was enough to guess the amount of wealthy the person possessed. The huge glass chandelier in the center of the room was radiating bright golden light just like in the movies.

The floor was covered in a costly white fur rug and designed with exquisite looking furnishings. On the left just before the huge French window was a small bar with a massive and valuable collection of wines were placed in the glass cabinet. To begin with, the room oozed of luxury and elegance.

His gaze traveled across the room and halted on the young man perching on the couch. The man had a slender figure with a silky short ink-black hair. He had his arms looped around the tiny waists of the two women lounging in his arms. His smile was brighter than the sun while his eyes were gleaming with playfulness just like every typical playboy.

"Hey, brother." As soon as he saw the man walk in, he shoved the two delicate-looking women from his arms and scurried as he greeted. He appeared excited on the surface but only he knew how wildly his heart was palpitating in terror.

The poor women stumbled on their steps with the rough push and fell down in an ugly manner.

Looking at the exciting figure, his messy heart eased down instantly.

Aaron spread his arms wide as though he was embracing a group of people.

"When did you arrive?" Dodging his incoming hands, he asked coldly as if he wasn't least bit affected by his unexpected visit but a glint appeared in his eyes which was too quick to be noticed.

"Morning." Knowing his brother, he pretended to be calm as he shrugged his shoulders and returned to the seat.

The two women on the floor had their eyes traveling back and forth the two handsome-looking man. They looked up at them in a daze. A glint passed across their eyes as they ogled over the cold-looking man.

"Tsk! What are you two looking at? Get out now." Unlike earlier, Aaron showed no traces of smile and playfulness but exuded a sense of danger and evilness, he stared at the two women on the floor with an expression saying 'leave-or-die'.

The ladies on the floor jolted under his terrifying gaze and were dumbfounded at his weather-like change but instantly came back to their senses as they scampered out of the room as if they were running for their lives.

"So, brother? How did you know I was here?" His persona took another 180-degree turn almost instantly and he returned to his usual playfulness.

"I have my ways." He replied calmly before raising the glass of red wine and added, " I hope you had a good stay these past few days at Sean's place." He then raised his head and eyed him with a knowing look.

" Damn! Why didn't you tell me earlier? You know how I sacrificed myself just so I can track you?" He sulked as he thought of those blood-s.u.c.k.i.n.g mosquitoes that almost s.u.c.k.e.d half of his blood the previous night. He was immersed in his world and failed to notice the darkening face of the man sitting ahead.

"Aaron Yazi, Why?" Unlike his calm persona a moment ago, currently, his body radiated a terrifying aura. His eyes narrowed as he pried at the person sitting right in front of him. Initially, he was only suspicious but didn't expect that he would hit the nail on the head.

Realizing that he had fallen into his trap, Aaron bit his tongue and peeked at his brother's dark face. He knew his elder brother was truly angry this time. His mouth parted slightly and spoke in a weak voice, "It was Grandma, Initially she was only worried but later when you kept rejecting her, she got suspicious and asked me to drop by to check whet-whether-" At the end, he stuttered and words stuck in his throat. He breathed in deeply and tried to speak again but couldn't even after many attempts.

'Damn! Grandma, now I have to face his wrath'

"Whether what?" Felix asked impatiently as he squints his eyes at his younger brother.

"To check whether you have a girlfriend." Closing his eyes, he decided to take the gamble and blurted out instantly after noticing his impatience.

Just when he thought he was doomed, he heard a faint voice, "Say grandma that I'll be back soon."

Prying his eyes open, he peered at the man before him and blurted out "So you don't?"

Just as the words left his mouth, he realized his mistake and hurriedly said, "Alright brother. It's almost time for my flight. Bye" Then he scuttled out of the room almost immediately in fear of being smashed to death by his brother.

Just when he left, Felix took out his phone from the pocket and dialed, "Edward, Any news regarding that woman?"

"No, Master, It's like she vanished into thin air. We've dispatched quite a lot of our secret guards but we still couldn't find her." He answered calmly. Even after looking highs and lows, his men couldn't even find the strand of her hair let alone a clue. It was as if she never existed.

"Hmm...Edward, make the necessary arrangements. We're flying back to the Capital city next week." He spoke calmly after much hesitation.

"Sure, sir."

Humming as a reply, he hung up on the call before, "Where are you? Why won't you reveal yourself?" he muttered under his breath.

Not long after, he left the room, his phone rang. He picked up the call and began conversing with the person on the other side and tried to divert the issue running in his mind.

The lady inside the room reclined against the headboard of the bed while her eyes scanned the surroundings in curiosity. Her gaze traveled around before pausing at the window. The sunlight traveled pass the glass window and fell across the room on the grey-colored wall. She slowly shut her eyes and quietly basked in the sunlight falling upon her.

Just when she thought of heading out, the knob twisted and two figures scampered in as they pushed the door open.

"Nathan, why don't we shift her to our base in City A? It's been 2 years since the incident, how long do you plan on waiting?" Ava tried to pursue him.
