After some calculations, Eliah proceed to allocate the stat that suit his current situations and goes to sleep.

Since Eliah is not working today, he will have one full day for his leisure. As he still unable to found any event that he can join, he just plans to relax and be idle for the day. He also will do some light reading to check if he became smarter after the upgrade.

He understands that his stat is better compare to other normal person, but he will only push his to actions actively once he feels that his stat are high enough. He is not some kind of martial artist or cultivator in wuxia novel which love to challenge himself and always face with deadly situations. He just a normal person with special ability, that's all. Plus, since he had taste failure before, he become reluctant to involve with actions that are too risky and not in his control. Hence, he will plan for his actions to be slow and steady. In fact, with this kind of approach, he will have good foundations in his step to become greatness and offer more stability.

He surfs the internet via his phone to learn a new language. There will be a lot off free guide available in internet to learn new language and he just need to look for it. Although the guide available is not good as the premium guide, his purpose was only to test his Int and not really to learn the language up to their native speakers' proficiency.

He decides to learn some Spanish first since he manage to found one website that offer the guide to learn this language and it can be downloaded easily. He focusses on the guide and try to memorize all the contents. After few tries, he manages to remember most of the contents. He confirms that he will required to read the same contents 3 or 4 times in order to remember most of them. This is much better compare to his previous ability. Previously when he repeatedly wants to learn new things, he will not be able to remember most of its contents. Except if the subject is something that really attracts his interest, then he is able to remember most of them. But today it is different, even though he thinks the learning new language as boring and did not attract any of his interest, he still manages to remember most of them. He feels very happy for this finding since most of the knowledge that he plans to learn such as programming or machinery principle is not something that really bring him any interest. But he just need to learn such knowledge since it can bring him a lot of advantage in his life.

He decides to deepen his Spanish proficiency by visiting some of the Spanish website. Since he can feel his progress rapidly, he starts to feel excited and become more focus on learning.

He had forgot the time due to his excitement are increasing for every new knowledge that he gains from the internet. From learning some Spanish, he read everything that he can found on the internet.

Although nearly half of the knowledge that he learn is not really useful such as gossip for hot artist in Hollywood or 'do and don'ts while goes to space', the excitement and satisfactions he feel keep Eliah intoxicated and not to stop.

Grr..grr…grr…

His stomach growling vigorously.

'Wow. I really lost in time while reading all of this thing on the internet. Let me have some food first and continues after that. It is better for me to learn as much as I can since I got nothing to do for now. I am afraid that if I do not learn now, I will not have much chances in future.'

From the day he won the marathon race, he does no longer cook his own food and will only order food from outside or he will eat outside.

Eliah remember the stall the give him free food before and decides to visit it. To be honest he did not know if the stall is still open since he knows that most of the stall will only open at certain time of the day, such as if they open in the morning it will close before noon since their market is targeted for breakfast only. This is so much difference from restaurant or normal shop since most of them will open from morning to late at night.

Too bad that even though his Int had increased, it can only be applied to learn new knowledge. For his existing memories or knowledge that he had before the upgrade are still remain and will not be clear as per his new knowledge. Therefore, Eliah are having some difficulties to remember the stall locations.

After tens of minutes of walking, he finally found the roughly the stall area and hasten his pace to search the stall. He finally found the stall, but unfortunately it is already closed. Since it was the only stall around area, Eliah unable to ask people around to confirm when it will open.

With frustrations, he walks away and search for a random restaurant to eat.

"Everything is 6 dollars' sir"

Eliah pay for his food and went back to his room. He focusses back his attentions on learning new things from internet. Eliah did not know if the things he learns from internet is right or false details since anyone can write whatever they want in the internet. Hence Eliah will only read from websites that he assumes as reliable and not from some shady blog.

On the next day at the shop, things that Eliah try avoid most is actually happening. Alyssa come to the shop specifically looking for him.

"Hi Eliah. This is me Alyssa. Did you still remember me"?

Alyssa wearing her office attire. Black skirt until her knee and white shirt to cover her upper body. No one can deny that her appearance is really attractive. Oval shape face with her peach eyes make her look noble and untainted by the reality. Her body are not voluptuous but not skinny either. All the curves are there and well define. Her temperament is like your typical neighbour which is friendly and her smile will really make you want to protect her from any danger.

"Hi Alyssa, yup I still remember you. How are you? How did you know that I am here"? Eliah know that it must be Bill that told her about his details.

"I am good. How about you. Bill told me that you are working here. You know that I come as soon as I can once I know that you are working here. I had try to contact you so many times before but you never pick up my call." Alyssa explaining and start to criticize for his actions that suddenly disappear after their graduations.

"I am good. Yup I am working here. You know that a lot of things happen in my life and I do not want others to feel pity on me. Now I am trying to get back on my life as per it is" Eliah feel guilt in his heart. He knows that he quite means to her from his treatment. But he need to distance himself from Alyssa since both of them are not living on the same world.

"Good. Give me your phone number and make sure you did not ignore my call or message, okay. Since I am here let me check around for to see some furniture available. Come, follow me and give me some suggestions" Alyssa showing that she is interested to buy furniture in the shop. Eliah know that this just a trick from her to make him follow her and spend more time with him.

"Okay, let me guide you around"

"Hey Eliah. What's going on with you? How did you end up working here? I know that you are one of our best student in our class and should have a bright future." Alyssa ask him with concern face.

"Let's just say that bad things happen and with some luck I manage to survive and end up in here. I am not comfortable to discuss of what happen to me. Really appreciate if you not to ask again. But don't worry, it is not something illegal" Eliah starting to feel uncomfortable, but he knows that Alyssa is sincerely concern about him and there are no bad intentions with her questions. Eliah also know that he requests for Alyssa to help, she will more than happy to help and pay all his debt. But he will not do that since it will make he look down on himself.

"Okay, I will not ask again. But you must not disappear again and out of contact. I never stop searching for you after you disappear. I am really worried that something bad happen to you." Alyssa start to feel some heavy feeling at her c.h.e.s.t. She is really afraid that Eliah will disappear again.

Once Bill inform her that Eliah working here, she immediately come to meet him and block all her appointment for today.

"Don't worry, I will not be going to disappear again" Eliah try to comfort her. Eliah know about her feeling to him but he cannot answer it. He might be able to do it once his status is on the same level with her.

Alyssa sadness become lesser after he comfort her.

"Let's have lunch together. My treat" Alyssa invite him for lunch.

Eliah know that he should not reject her invitations or it will make things worse and accept it. He informs his boss that he will be out for a while which the owner agrees to it since Eliah is really a hardworking staff and assured that he is not someone that neglect his works for nothing.

Alyssa feel happy since he agrees with her invitation. Both of them walk to her car get in the car. They went to a western restaurant of her choice. In the car, both of them having some idle chat with most of them with Alyssa do the talking and Eliah listen to her complain.

Nothing special happen with their lunch and Alyssa send her back to the shop.

"By the way Eliah. When you will be not working since I want to ask you to accompany me. There is so much things that I need to catch up with you from the time that you disappear" Since both of them are close and always hang out with each other in college, her invitations are common between them.

"I am not working this Sunday. We can hang out on that day if you want. Just call me if you free and you will need to pick me up since I do not have car to move aroound" Eliah accept her invitations since he feels quite bored with his life since he did not have anyone that he can hang out on his free time. He always lives his life alone after he lost everything in the investment.

"That's a promise. I will call you this Sunday" Alyssa replied happily. Looks like her mood had become better and it can be seen clearly on her face.

Eliah come into his shop and start doing his chore.

"Your girlfriend"? the shop owner asks.

"Just a friend. Let me start arrange the furniture at the store" Eliah try to run away from his boss since he know that his boss love to gossip. You must need to know that man also love to gossip around, but the topic might differ from woman.

Ring…ring…ring…

Eliah phone are ringing from unknown number. Eliah picking up the call and answer.

"Hello, who is this"?

"Eliah, this is Mr Kahn. Alyssa father. I know that you just meet her today and having lunch together" with heavy tone.

"Hi Mr Kahn. Yes, Alyssa come to my working place to meet me. Don't worry we both are only friend and nothing more"

"Good. You know your place. Don't forget our agreement before. You will bring her down if both of you together. Remember that" and he hang up the call.

Eliah sighed and continues with his work. He decides not to think much of Mr Kahn warning since he know that it is useless if he go against him for now. He just an ant as he got nothing to back him up.
