No One Else's But Mine

Chapter 8 - Sir, we're here

"You didn't tell her?"

"Are you crazy?" shouted Bae Min, his arms swaying in the air like a monkey.

Jang knew this was a sign that Bae Min was more outraged this time; his professionalism and composure being overpowered by his anger. He was prepared for the opinion and scolding from his manager, but he still couldn't help being affected by it. Bae Min was a manger that Jang looked up to, and also a friend.

Bae Min was currently tracing back and forth in front of him as they both stood in his office.

"Can you explain to me just why you would cancel this tour? And you better have a good explanation."

He purposely avoided the intimidating glare directed towards him while he tried to find the right words. Jang finally looked upon his manager's walnut brown eyes, finally able to confess to what he has been holding in ever since he heard about the tour.

"Just why do I need to have the tour Bae Min?"

"What do you mean? Of course, it is to help with your image--"

"It isn't for me, It's for them and their rating views when I star in their drama. It isn't for me hyung, and you know it." He interrupted.

"Remember the first time I came to audition for you and you said you saw that spark in me when I sang? Well, I saw it too but now I am starting to lose the love for my music and what I do."

Bae Min had seemed to calm down now as his breathing and posture became relaxed. Jang knew his manager too well and knew that he still wasn't completely over the fact that the tour was cancelled.

He watched as Bae Min made his way to his black leather chair which he did the honour of sitting on. No matter what time of day Jang came into his office, his desk would always be tidy and organized; just like his managing skills. This is why with his abilities and the sufficiency of Eun Ae put together made such a good team. He wasn't surprised that the agency he was in is the top agency that is in completion with Su Ru for the number one position in the entertainment industry. A silent atmosphere came over them for a few minutes as both of them dared not speak. This was both a method of theirs when they were in the middle of gaining control of their emotions. "You better have a plan, Jang, or I swear…" he said. "Don't worry, I know what to do."

"Sir, we're here." Informed the agency's personal driver for their talents.

"Thank you, Tae Mo," said Jang, giving him a grateful smile.

Tae Mo was a man of his forties with gentle features and black wavy short hair. Jang Geun Suk observed the school he would be teaching and possibly studying in if he decided he preferred it over tutoring.

He glanced upon the right and left sides of the school entrance that revealed a visible path that was made available for him to enter the school. In front of that path, stood who he presumed was the school principal by the way the security guards stayed stationed behind him keeping the students.

The security guards were making an effort to keep the students in control as many girls were jumping up and down hysterically, while some male students tried to push to the front of the line, in which he presumed they wanted a handshake or autograph.

He felt a strong hand rest firmly on his shoulder which meant to notify him that Bae Min and Eun Ae had already exited the car and made an appearance. Bae Min would especially do this for Jang ever since he was fourteen and he first debuted as a singer to give him that extra bit of confidence getting him out of the car. He slowly gripped the handle, opening the door hid within. It didn't take long for the erupting screams of the students to break his eardrums as he made his way towards the principle. He had expected the commotion and always tried to block it out of his ears that were still not used to the screaming. "We're so very happy to have you here." Commented the principle enthusiastically, the big beaming smile hard to miss.

For the amount of time in the principle's office, Jang had studied him. And from what he could see, this principle was an enthusiastic yet professional principle who only thought about the image and well being of all the staff in the school.

"It's great to be here." Said Bae Min, shaking the principal's hand.

"I know you are all waiting to hear about this program. Well, basically, Jang Geun Suk will be training the music and drama students." The principle explained.

"May I ask how many students are there?" Bae Min asked.

Jang Geun Suk always enjoyed watching Bae Min when he was in manager mode because he always discussed and made sure to get the right conditions for his talents.

"About 32 in total."

"I am afraid that there is one condition that will need to be taken care of," assured Bae Min.

The principal stopped pouring tea in his manager's cup before he raised one eyebrow. "What kind of condition?"

Jang smiled at his fans automatically as it naturally became his protocol over the years, but he didn't expect it to trigger the students to go more insane as they were now having a tug-of-war with the security guards, aiming to break their defence.

The crowd only stopped when Jang and everyone around him heard the sound of a girl screaming loudly through the noise. Everyone's eyes skimmed their surroundings until they discovered one of the high school students sprawled on the ground from being pushed and shoved.

Jang Guen Suk had the urge to head over to where she was and check if she was okay, but he knew it would cause himself and her trouble as the media would make a story about it.

He was too far for him to hear what the girl who helped her up was saying to her, but he was grateful that that person had shown up when she did. As everything went back to normal and he continued on his way, he couldn't help but be curious about the girl and where he got the impression that she was very delicate. "If Jang Geun Suk is to train students for the festival at the end of the school year, then we require to host a school audition and shall become the judges for whoever passes into the program." Informed Bae Min strictly.

The principal didn't look too happy with his manager's requirement but nonetheless allowed it in the end as he also figured out the reason behind why Bae Min wanted this requirement.

A knock sounded from the door as the principal called them in. "I have brought her Mr Lee," said the senior school president. Jang knew this from the badge on his shirt that his name was Mee Soo.

"Well done, Mee Soo." Replied Mr Lee as he waved the boy away, gesturing for him to go back to class.

"You wanted to see me?" asked an angelic voice, or at least that's what he was hearing.

"Yes Hyo-rin, you may have heard of Jang Geun Suk, the idol and the new person in charge of training the students involved in the project? I would like it if you could show them around and make sure they feel welcome. Can you do that?"

The girl named Hyo-rin confirmed what he asked through a small sweet smile and the nodding of her head.

Hyo-rin was beautiful beyond comparison, no amount of words could describe how beautiful this girl's features were to Jang at this very moment.

Bae Min nudged him from his side as he said, "Come on, stop spacing out."
