No One Else's But Mine

Chapter 9 - People who love and people who hate

They were led in front of a door before Hyo-Rin spoke. " Inside is the music and drama class where all the students are waiting." Jang peeked through the glass that revealed that there were more students than he thought. It was a good call to make it an open audition. That way they would be able to scout the talent apart from the ones that may have joined upon hearing he would be involved with the classes.

"Thank you for that Hyo-rin, it is much appreciated."

She gave Bae Min a smile. "I don't mean to be rude, but I have somewhere I need to be."

"Of course. Please don't let us stop you," Bae told her. He directed his arm down the hallway she would be exiting out of politeness. She then goes on her way which he needed to follow. "Bae Min, I will be back." He nodded before Jang followed after her.

"Hyo-rin!" He called, grabbing her arm. She wasn't surprised when he turned her around to face him; in fact, it was like she expected it. She was really calm and didn't even show any signs of surprise. That. Or she was just very good at hiding it.

He was about to blurt out to his agenda for chasing after her, but she cut him off. "Sorry but I have no interest in you." He made an effort to reply but she cut him off with the raise of her hand before continuing where she left off. "I know that you are interested in me, don't think I don't know. I suggest you stop now because I am not interested. So don't get your hopes up". He just looked at her amusingly, quite interested. To be honest he enjoyed how she could brush him off so straightforwardly but in a confident way. Was It safe to say that he thought she was even hotter right this moment? Jang just gave her his priceless amused smile. "I was just going to ask If you were in the Elite class?"

Her cheeks grew red at the realization she may have judged him too early. She cleared her throat. "Yes, I am. Also, it's better to tell you now then later, even if that wasn't your reason."

However, you could tell that she still didn't believe it wholeheartedly. Jang just chuckled. "Okay".

Jang didn't mind when she turned around and continued on her way; presumably to class, as not to feel more embarrassed.

"By the way, I don't have an interest in you!" He yelled out to her, teasing her a little.

Jang may have been lying about that, but she didn't need to know that anyway, not for now. Satisfied with what he came here for, Jang went back the way he came. It wasn't long before he saw a school student occupying the halls other than him, to think he would move out of the way was an understatement.

He not only didn't move out the way but intentionally bumped into his shoulder, causing hard pain to shoot through. Lucky it didn't send him stumbling to the ground upon losing his footing for a second.

Jang was ready to confront the student but he had already kept walking and was nearly out of sight. His strides were casual and he held his head up high. An attitude of someone who didn't care that he had barged him with his shoulder. The encounter left a bad taste in Jang's mouth and she hoped he didn't encounter him again.

There you are," Bae commented upon him entering the classroom. He just managed to hear it over the erupting screams that suddenly enveloped the room. A look of disapproval overcame Bae at the sudden noise. "Everyone, keep quiet!" He raised his arms in the air to grab their attention. They eventually settle. "This is not a signing or anything, you're here to be tutored, not to gawk over Jang Geun Suk, understand?"

"Yes, sir," replied the class loudly in obedience.

Jang noticed that some students were still concentrated on him and not really paying attention to what Bae Min had said. While on the other hand, Jang saw some students vigorously nodding their heads; obviously taking Bae Min's words seriously.

He smiled to this as he could depict which were the serious kids among the group who would take this tutoring seriously and possibly gain something out of it.

Bae Min waited before all the students' attention was on them before speaking up again. "Today we will be studying some of your talents. Would you be so kind as to play the piano, Jang?"

"It would be my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e," he answered, revealing his make-every-girl-die smile.

Bae Min could tell when he would show off because he has two smiles; one that curves at the top of his lip, and the other which is wider and shows a dimple. In this case, he was expressing the second smile.

Jang made his way over to the piano, admiring it first before opening the black lid divulging shiny white keys. He hadn't felt such excitement in a long time since playing an instrument and he felt grateful towards the audience that took witness to this moment.

He ran his fingers over the piano keys at the ready before he winced. Bae Min and Eun Ae noticed because worried expressions arise on their faces. Bae Min walks over to Jang and bends down so his mouth is at ear length with Jang's ear.

"What's the matter?" he asked, concerned.

"I hurt my shoulder, that's all."

"How did it happen?"

"A kid bumped me outside in the hallway, its nothing big," Jang reassured him.

It didn't work because he had a frown on his face. He placed a hand on Jang's shoulder and brought his face in length with his, straying away from his ear.

"Jang Geun Suk, there will be people who love you, and people who hate you. Make sure to be careful because not everyone is on your side and that could mean you can get hurt while you're here," he warned me.
