One Piece: Sea Devil Sanji

After the Log Pose has recorded the path towards Whiskey Peak, the Strawhats decided to bid farewell to Crocus and Laboon then left the Twin Cape.

The ship sails in the ocean on the starting leg of the Grand Line.

For a whole day, the crew was quickly introduced to the abnormality of the place, as they experience first-hand the ever-changing weather, the shifting of the winds, and the tides constantly keeping the crew on their toes, save for Zoro who slept through the whole thing.

The harrowing experience taught Nami the hard way that all her previous navigation skills were useless in the Grand Line. All she could rely on in this place for navigation is the Log Pose. However, she eventually got used to it and managed to get them to the first stop of their journey, Cactus island.

The island was surrounded by thick fog but they could still make out several green rock mountains in the shape of giant cacti.

They found a river flowing through it allowing sh.i.p.s to dock inland. Since the Log Pose needs time to reset, the crew has no choice but to dock at the island for a while.

Much to their surprise, a big crowd of people gathered in front of them once they disembarked.

"Welcome to the town of welcoming, Whiskey Peak!" "Welcome to our town!" "Welcome to Grand Line!" "Long live the brave heroes of the sea!"

The residents warmly welcomed them as if they are their long lost family members.

A man came out from the crowd and approached them. He was a tall man dressed like a gentleman with a small red nose and has blonde hair in a style that resembles a powdered wig. He introduced himself as Igarapoi, the mayor of Whiskey Peak and treated them to a party.

The crew quickly takes to the place, eating, drinking, and flirting into the night, until eventually they all fell asleep.

Igarappoi looked at them prone on the ground and sneered. He exited the house they partied in after appointing some men to watch over them. He was actually codename Mr. 8 from the same organization as Mr. 9 and Miss Wednesday.

Zoro who actually faked passing out quickly got rid of the men watching over them and followed after Mr. 8. He found him outside joined by his partner Miss Monday, a tall, muscular woman with dark skin and pink hair pulled into short twin-tails, Mr. 9, Miss Wednesday and another 100 bounty hunters.

They were planning to catch them and turn them in to the World Goverment for the new issued bounty on Luffy's head.

Zoro confronted and started battling them as they chased after him through the many houses scattered around the town.

Meanwhile, on top of one of the Cactus Rocks, where multiple graves with tombstones that give the mountain the appearance of spikes, stood a tall and slender young woman with shoulder-length black hair, a long, thin and defined nose and eyes that has dark, blue wide pupils.

She wore a skimpy cowgirl outfit consisting of a purple cleavage-exposing corset and matching miniskirt, both with white ornaments hanging from them, and a black cowboy hat and black high-heeled boots.

"It appears despite appearances these pirate rookies are quite tough to deal with..." She murmured as she looked down below and watched Zoro beat Miss Monday in a contest of strenght after tearing through the 100 bounty hunters.

She looked at a bounty poster in her hand "Monkey D. Luffy..." It had his picture when he was smiling and about to be executed by Buggy "According to our intel he defeated Iron Mace Alvida, Buggy the Clown and is the prime suspect behind the disappearance of the Arlong pirates and two marine sh.i.p.s... Nevertheless, he and his crew are still too few and weak to face off against our organization"

"Don't you think you're underestimating us a little bit, beautiful miss" the woman was startled as a voice came from behind her. She quickly turned around and found Sanji smiling at her.

Her heart was beating fast as she didn't hear him come near her. However, she managed to keep a calm facade as she smiled back at him "I'm beginning to think so too... It's been a while since someone managed to sneak up behind me"

"I'm sorry miss. I didn't mean to frighten you" he gave her gentlemanly bow then straightened up "I was just strolling around in this fine evening and noticed you standing here by yourself. So I had to come by and say hello. The name is Sanji by the way, the cook of the Strawhat pirates"

"A p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you" she didn't believe he just came here by chance but didn't say anything about it.

"The p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e is all mine"Sanji looked down below as he spotted two new arrivals at the island. He remembered them being Mr. 5 and his partner Miss Valentine.

"Looks like they finally came to catch the spy that infiltrated our organization" she spoke as she also noticed them.

"You mean Vivi-chan?" he said as he continued to watch the happenings down below. The two new arrivals defeated Mr. 8, Mr. 9 and Miss Monday when they tried to save Vivi from them.

"Oh, so you know Miss Wednesday's real name!" she was surprised.

"I know many things actually..." Sanji faced her again "I know that she is the royal princess of the Alabasta kingdom, Nefertari Vivi. I also know that your organization is called Baroque Works whose mystery boss Mr. 0 is actually Crocodile, one of the seven Shichibukai. But more importantly, I know who you are... Demon child Nico Robin" he approached her and kissed her hand "Are you impressed, Robin-chan?"

"..." Robin was astonished to say the least but she still maintained her calm front. She took two steps back from Sanji and looked him in the eye "What do you want?"

"Nothing much really..." he put his hands on his pocket "I was just wondering if you would like to leave your current organization and join our small-time little crew. We would love to have such a lovely lady as one of us"

"Fufufu..." she laughed as she crossed her arms "A tempting proposition but Baroque Works still have great use for me to reach my goal. So I'm afraid I'll have to refuse your offer"

"Sigh, it's never easy to be rejected but I still tried at least" Sanji sighed dramatically "However, this is quite the dilemma"

"How so?" she lifted a delicate eyebrow at him.

"It looks like we just became the number one enemy of Baroque Works" he pointed at Zoro who jumped to the rescue of Vivi. Nami, who also faked passing out, convinced him to after she made a deal with Mr. 8 who is in reality Igaram, the captain of Vivi's royal guards "Which unfortunately makes us enemies... I'm afraid I'll have to capture you for information"

Actually, that's just an excuse as Sanji just didn't want to let her return to the side of Crocodile.

"Aren't you the one underestimating me this time?" she swiftly jumped backwards to create some distance with Sanji.

"I'll never dream of doing that" he moved too quickly for her to follow and disappeared from view as she tried to discretely used her devil fruit power to try and catch him "I know that a beautiful flower like you must have her thorns"

She didn't panic and used her power once again to sprout multiple arms from the ground surrounding her in a thirty meter radius circle.

"Clever girl" she heard him compliment her but she couldn't figure from what direction his voice was coming from "Even with my current speed, if I try and enter that circle I'll be caught immediately. However..." she heard the last word right next to her right ear as Sanji appeared behind her and playfully pinched her waist "It's useless if I come at you from above"

She instinctually used her devil fruit power and sprouted many arms from her back trying to catch him but he used his high speed to disappear once again. She unleached many more arms from the ground forming a net like cocoon around her.

"Good, this is way better than before" his voice was coming from every direction not giving her any chance to pinpoint his exact location. If she would just have one good look on him, she could sprout many arms on him and stop him in place.

She felt more secure in her new found defence but she still knew she was outclassed by Sanji so she had to find a way to defeat him and flee this island fast. Especially now since she looked back at the town and saw Luffy, who just woke up, and Zoro has already defeated Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine.

"Looks like everything is settled down there" said Sanji as he also watched the end of the battle down below "I think it's time we finish up too, don't you think?"

"I agree" Robin unleached multiple arms in the form of long chains and started waving them around creating a giant dust cloud.

She held her breath and focused her attention as her eyes were darting around.

Suddenly, she caught some fast movement that disturbed the flow of the air in the dust cloud. As quick as lightning, she used her power in an effort to catch him.

She dectivated the arm chains once she heard a loud thud of something falling down.

The dust cloud slowly disappeared letting her see in her disappointment that what she actually caught was just a broken tombstone.

"Nice try, but I'm afraid it's not enough" she turned to her right and found Sanji standing near a grave without its tombstone "Why don't you surrender. I promise you no harm will come to you. You must know by now you have no chance against me"

"..." she didn't answer him immediately but instead quickly applied her power and restrained him with several arms holding his legs, arms and head in place.

She didn't expect that her attempt to work this time around "Why did you let me catch you? You could have easily dodged like you did earlier"

"Your Devil Fruit power is really convenient. Truly strength and speed mean nothing infront of you. However, you still have your limits" Sanji spoke calmly to her "Do I interpret this as you refusing to surrender, Robin-chan?"

"As I see it, you are at my mercy now" she positioned her arms in the form of a cross infront of her c.h.e.s.t causing her hold on Sanji to tighten up driving her point home "I could easily break your neck anytime I want. So why should I surrender to you?"

"Sigh, you leave me no choice then..." despite his current apparent predicament Sanji started to power through his restraints and walked slowly towards Robin.

She was shocked by his strenght as she struggled against him. She was sweating profusely from exertion as she sprouted more limbs and tried to restrain him to the nearby rocks and ground but he still powered through and started dragging them behind him.

She switched her tactic and tried to break his limbs but to her dismay she was unable to. She found him to be as tough as a bloc of steel. She even tried to strangle and suffocate him but ultimately failed.

Eventually, he reached right infront of her as she was struggling for breath "I'm truly sorry about this Robin-chan but you left me with no choice as you refused to come willingly. My comrades aren't equiped to face someone with your capabilities yet, except maybe Luffy with his rubber body, so I have to protect them" he pulled some Seastone handcuffs from his pocket and put them on her wrists. He picked her up between his arms as she immediately lost her strenght and almost fell to the ground "I'll remove them later if you promise to be good and not start trouble, ok"

"You should *pant* let me go or Crocodile *pant* will surely come after you and *pant* your crew. He's not someone you want to face *pant*" She warned him with labored breaths from exhaustion and the effects of the Seastone on her.

"Don't worry, we'll be just fine" he grinned merrily at her "We may be rookies but we're a bag full of surprises"

"We'll see *pant*... Anyone could put up a brave front *pant*. Yet to know of the difficulty that lies ahead *pant* and still rush in is an act fit for only fools"

"Fools, we are but even fools won't roll over and die. I assure you, Crocodile won't know what hit him until it's too late"

"... I see. How unfortunate..." she took a long breath to stabilize her breathing then smiled at him "Well I don't dislike bold men... I hope you and your crew survive maybe then I'll take you up on your earlier offer..."

"I'll hold you up to that" Sanji started heading down towards the town where he saw Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Vivi bidding farewell to Igaram who dressed as Vivi to act as a decoy for any incoming pursuers. They watched him depart Whiskey Peak onboard a ship.

He reached the Going Merry where he found Zoro lifting the anchor for departure and Nami helping Vivi look for Carue, her pet super spot-billed duck, who they found hiding inside the ship.

Nami was the first to notice him "Sanji-kun, where have- Who's that!?" she pointed at Robin in his arms.

"Kyaaaa!" before he could explain, came the scream of Vivi "Miss All-Sunday! What's she doing all the way out here?"

"What's wrong!? Who is she!?" asked Nami apprehensively.

"She's Baroque Works vice-president and Mr. 0's partner...!" answered Vivi "She's the only one who knows the boss true identity, which is why Igaram and I tailed after her, to find out who the boss is as well!"

"Well technically, it was more like I let you tail after me" commented Robin.

"I already knew that! And I bet you're the one who told the boss his identity was leaked which made him send Mr. 5 and Miss Velentine after me!" Vivi was upset at Robin playing with her "Just what exactly is your objective!?"

"Now, now... no need to get so worked up. I only let you follow me because you looked so desperate..." Robin gave her a small smirk "And it was just too amusing to observe, a single princess who foolishly thinks she can take on the entire Baroque Works organization on her own and save her kingdom..."

"..." Vivi ground her teeth in anger at her "Don't you underestimate me!"

Vivi kept glaring at Robin but eventually she calmed down "No use getting upset now. What's important is that I get to Alabasta as soon as possible to stop the rebellion instigated by Baroque Works" she clenched her fists in determination and unconsciously bit her lips too hard, she started to bleed "I won't let them bring chaos and take over my kingdom!"

Seeing her in this state, Nami felt for her as she wrapped her in a hug "It's alright! I promise we'll safely get you to back to Alabasta!"

"Thank you" Vivi hugged her back.

Nami released her then turned to the cook in irritation and pointed at Robin in his arms "You seem to be pretty chummy with her... All this time when we were in danger, you were somewhere flirting with the enemy and now you come back carrying her in you arms"

"Are you jealous Nami-san!?" his eyes turned into hearts "I knew you loved me!"

"Sanji-kun!" she clenched her fist up to his face in anger "Explain! Now!"

"Sorry, sorry" he smiled apologetically at her. He showed her the handcuffs on Robin's wrists "I found her snooping around so I caught and took her prisoner"

"So this is why you disappeared earlier?" Sanji nodded at her.

Nami eyed Robin, who looked nonchalant despite her capture, for a moment then looked back at him "She seems to be dangerous..." she was worried after hearing who she was from Vivi "Will those be enough to hold her down?"

"Nothing to worry about, these are made from Seastone. She's a Devil Fruit user, so as long as she has those on she won't be able to cause us any issues"

"Seastone?"

"Right. It's a natural substance that is as hard as diamond and could drain the energy from Devil Fruit users"

"Oh, that's good then" Nami visibly relaxed.

Just at that moment, Luffy came in running while dragging Usopp on the ground behind him by the nose "Hey! I brought Usopp" he turned his head and found Usopp passed out, bruised and bloodied all over "Huh!? Is he still sleeping?"

The rest sweat dropped at him 'Is he trying to kill him!?'

"Hey, it's almost morning and the fog is lifting!" shouted Zoro from the front of the ship "We need to leave now! We don't know how many Baroque Works backup will come looking for us in this island!"

"He's right! We have to leave as quickly as possible!" urged back Vivi "Reportedly 2000 people work for Baroque Works, so we could easily have 1000 coming after us. That's how serious is finding out the boss' real identity is!"

"Allright, the Log Pose has finished recording!" declared Nami "We're setting sail immediately!"

...

Later, on deck.

"Wow.... I'm glad I slept through all that!" exclaimed Usopp after Nami explained to him what happened when he woke up and found out they were in the open sea instead of Whiskey peak.

"Nahahahaha! Looks like we're wanted men now!" laughed Luffy to the side as he held his bounty poster that Sanji gave him after he confiscated it from Robin "It says 35 million beli!"

"As if we lack any more trouble on our hands" sighed Nami as she massaged her temples "In addition to Baroque Works, we'll be now actively chased around by both marines and strong bounty hunters"

"Let's party! Sanji! Make us a feast!" Luffy didn't heed Nami's words.

"It's morning idiot! And we just partied all day yesterday!" answered Nami.

"Ah, it's morning!" realisation hit Luffy "Sanji! Time for breakfast!"

"Hey, are we forgetting something here!" said Vivi as she pointed at the kitchen.

"Oh no!" panicked Luffy "Are we out of meat!?"

"No Luffy, she means the woman curly brow has brought in" said Zoro as he sat down leaning on the mast.

Luffy sighed in relief then asked "Where's Sanji?"

"He's in the kitchen with Miss All-Sunday" answered Nami "He said, her real name is Nico Robin and that she's going to provide us with information about Baroque Works and their plans"

"Is she a good person?"

"I don't know, Luffy" said Vivi as she sat down and hugged her knees "That woman... I don't have the faintest idea what she's really planning"

"I say we should just toss her overboard" chimed in Zoro "We don't need her. I bet she'll propably just feed us false information and lead us into a trap"

"She's a bad person then?" Luffy scratched his chin.

"Will she even collaborate with us?" wondered Vivi.

"Don't worry Vivi-chan" said Sanji as he just exited the kitchen "She isn't very loyal to Crocodile. So as long as we fulfill her demands, she'll tell us everything we want"

"What does she want?"

"Well, actually she only has one demand..." Sanji walked down the stairs to the middle deck "She wants permission to view the Poneglyph hidden inside the Tomb of Kings"

"What!?" Vivi jumped to her feet "How did she know about it!?"

"What's a Poneglyph?" asked Usopp as he and the rest looked at Vivi.

"Is it some kind of valuable treasure?" Nami had Beli signs in her eyes.

"..." She hesitated for a moment but decided to tell them as it's already in the open "I don't actually know much about it but it's something that my family has protected and hid from the people and the World Goverment for centuries" she looked at Sanji "Its a very important secret of our kingdom. I don't know how she came accross it but if any information about its existance gets to the World Government, my kingdom may risk total annihilation"

Sanji patted her shoulder as he handed her today's newspaper "Before you make up your mind, I think you should read this"

"... Is it about Alabasta?" he nodded at her.

Her heart skipped a beat as her trembling hands took the newspaper from him.

"..." her face paled as she started reading "This can't be..."

"What is it?" asked Luffy.

"300.000 soldiers of the royal armed forces switched sides to join the rebels!?" she wrinkled up the paper in her hands in shock "Originally the 600.000 strong royal armed forces could contain the rebels who were only 400.000 strong... But now the situation is completely opposite!"

"Sounds like an emergency!" exclaimed Usopp.

"This has Baroque Works' handiwork written all over it" noted Zoro.

"It's not good enough to return alive anymore... If I can't get back soon enough, then a million of my people will be killing each other for no good reason"

"This is a dire situation" said Sanji then continued "As I see it, we need to find a way to stop Baroque Works or there won't be any kingdom left for you to return to. And we need all the help that we can get to do that, so you may as well accept her offer. You have nothing to lose at this stage anyway"

"..." Vivi didn't know what to do.

Carue, her pet, sensing her inner struggle, came by her side and started nuzzling up against her.

"I agree with what Sanji-kun has said" said Nami "We need that information, so I think you should accept too"

Vivi sighed "I have no choice at this point..." she petted Carue and looked back at Sanji "Tell her, I agree to her demand, however, if she ever tries to deceive us I'll make sure to end her life even if it's the last thing I do!"
