BOOM!!!

….

Lan's body hurt like never before it is as if he was hit by a Snorlax. He felt suffocated and had the taste of iron in his mouth. Slowly opening his eyes and couldn't concentrate because everything around was spinning while there was a loud ringing inside of his head. Gradually coming back to reason Lan focused on the chaotic scene in front of him.

Black Smoke seemed to fill the warehouse while a large amount of people could be seen sprawled on the ground. Many were unconscious while the others were delirious from the impact of the explosion.

Lan started to hear movements and yelling where the sick Pokemon were laying down earlier. He could see people wearing identical black uniforms, black spandex pants, and a not so subtle "R" on their c.h.e.s.t stormed into the facility. They had were followed by Zubats, Ekans, Beedrill, and some floating purple Pokemon. The people in uniforms each had nets and started to capture the confused and hurt Pokemon.

The smoke started to clear while most of the people spread on the ground started to stir and wake up. When some of the Police Officers, Nurses, and Breeders recognized who the intruders where many people yelled "TEAM ROCKET!!"

Meanwhile, the members of the infamous Team Rocket started to haul off the facilities Pokemon into their large vehicles quickly and efficiently which made it seem they were not willing to engage the enemy in a confrontation.

A few of the officers tossed out poke balls and called out various personal Pokemon but they couldn't do anything against the mass of Pokemon that were covering the escape of the perpetrators.

Growl whimpers and Roars could be heard by all of the Arcanines and Growlithes that were struggling in the nets. Many of them were using fire moves and struggling to escape from their current situation. The nets seemed to be made to withstand fire attacks because they absorbed all of the fire attacks although some of them were a little damaged but not enough for the pokemon to escape.

"GROWLITHE !!!!"

Suddenly everyone heard a cry could be heard from behind the group of people who were fighting Team Rocket's Pokemon. A Dark yellow and black canine could be seen slowly wobbling out from under one of the abandoned stalls.

The Pokemon was struggling to walk but one could see a large amount of determination in its eyes. By looking at the Growlithe one could see that it was heavily poisoned and had many cuts all over its body. Despite these injuries, it started to run towards the group of captured Pokemon.

Shock could be seen in the breeders' eyes. While everyone else was looking at the Growlithe who was charging at the mass of enemy Pokemon.

Its body started to burn up with red and white fire that seemed to come alive whenever it touched something. It was so potent that they seemed to eat the wooden floor and debris that were scattered around the battlefield.

Growlithe which seemed to be on its last leg launched itself into the mass of Pokemon. Many of the opposing Pokemon in addition to the captured ones seemed to fear this Growlithe's fire.

When any of the Pokemon came into contact with the flames suffered from the fire. Most of the Pokemon suffered harsh burns while the weaker ones fainted. The Growlithe faceplanted onto the tangled nets of two large Arcanine.

It lifted its head with the last of its energy and looked at the Arcanines and with the last of its strength used it collapsed. The fire around the Pokemon continued to spread but the Growlithes's fur seemed to lose its color.

The Arcanines were seemingly stunned for a second but then began to go into rage. Their Roars shook the surroundings and all the people and pokemon alike were looking at the Arcanines. Their fur stood up on end and their bodies started to absorb the young Growlithe's abnormal fire.

The two Pokemon started to glow in deep crimson colors and the surroundings started to increase in temperature. They seemed to become exceedingly more powerful and started to tear their nets to shreds.

The turn of events seemed to shock the onlookers. One of the powered-up Arcanine lunged into the mob of enemies and their Pokemon from behind while the other Arcanine was busy freeing the other captured Pokemon.

Team Rocket seemed to foresee their defeat and recalled most of their pokemon. They were yelling at each other and were using the Floating Purple pokemon to create a smokescreen.

The smokescreen created enough cover so that the group could disappear into the forest behind the facility.

...

While the officers quickly ran after Team Rocket, the nurses and breeders started to check on the injured pokemon.

None of the nurses seemed to think about the one Growlithe that turned the tide. It was laying by itself isolated from the group of gathering Growlithes and Arcanine.

Lan finally and his way through the crowd towards the suffering Growlithe. He started to bend down when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Officer Jenny: "You shouldn't do that this Growlithe was isolated from this years of pups by its parents because of its tendency to not being able to control its flames.

It was not picked for the cadets because the League committee wanted to portray a similar image of officers around Kanto. When it was isolated from its litter, the breeders tried to introduce it to other Growlithes its age but that didn't work out too well.

It grew larger and its powers became uncontrolled while being isolated this drew much of the frustration and aggression from other pokemon and breeders here. "

Lan " It still is a hurt Pokemon who cares about others just based on its actions today"

Jenny " I know I am just saying it's very aggressive and doesn't trust others easily"

Lan slowly approaches the hurt pokemon. It looks bad and is breathing slowly. He sticks out his left hand to try and calm down the Pokemon. He sighs in relief as he came to realize that the Growlithe was not Life-threatening condition.

Unknown to Lan as he came into contact with the Pokemon his tattoo acted up and send a soft white through his arm and into the Growlithe without anyone noticing.

The Growlithe abruptly opened its eyes when it felt its back being touched and growled at the person as a serious warning.

Lan and Growlithe locked gazes for while until Lan whispered

"Growlithe I know you care for your family but can you do one more thing? It will help us treat them faster"

Growlithe lifted his head and looked at him while tilting its head to the side in an intelligent way as if questioning Lan's intentions.

Lan replied "We still don't have an antidote to the poison of the mutant Beedrill that you and others were poisoned with. We can help everyone if you are willing to give us a little blood."

Seeming to understand what Lan said Growlithe nodded and laid its head back down.

Lan took a small blood drawing kit which he got earlier from Officer Jenny and a Nurse when they entered the warehouse. He filled up the small vial and bandaged the leg of the Growlithe.

Officer Jenny and a Breeder looked stunned from the series of events that Lan just preformed. This was because the most aggressive pokemon in the whole facility became submissive in front of this young man who it had met for the first time.

Lan quickly handed over the blood sample to Nurse Joy. Soon enough an antidote was created and administered to the pokemon who were poisoned.

Most of the pokemon were injured and could not reject the medicine although still being cautious of the treatment.
