Pokemon: The Wandering Guardian

<Whrrrr> The door to the Pokemon center opens and a young man with spikey black hair and golden eyes entered. Alongside him was a Dark-Gold and black Growlithe.

Lan then went up the counter.

Nurse Joy: Hello welcome to the Pokemon Center my name is Nurse Joy how may I help you?"

Lan"My pokemon need a checkup and I will be a temporary room for a couple hours till the check-up is done"

Nurse Joy" Okay we have plenty of openings. A temporary room is 15 Poke an hour for civilians and if you are a Leauge trainer it will be covered by the league. I will take your pokemon now since the check-up is free."

Lan"Sounds good I think I will do like 4 hours if that is good. Here is my ID card you."

Nurse Joy took his four Pokeballs and his ID card. Then she yelled, "Chansey come over here and bring these pokemon to the back for a full diagnostic."

Seconds later a big round pink Pokemon that was wearing a nurse hat scampered to Nurse Joy's side and took the tray of Pokeballs.

Lan"Growlithe follow the nurse I will see you in a couple of hours get some rest"

Growlithe followed Chancey as the Pokemon went to take care of her task.

Nurse Joy turned to Lan and laughed "Your Growlithe is really tired it could not keep its eyes open. You must have been training it hard."

Lan laughed in reply "Yeah it is lazy most of the time but it works extremely hard when it comes down to it. By the way, what is the total I owe?"

Nurse Joy nodded and preceded to swipe Lan's ID. Her eyebrows rose and exclaimed, "Your a researcher for Oak's Lab so you don't have a charge for the stay as it will go on their account. Also since you are in town you should check out the Moon festival tonight there will be all sorts of small events held throughout the city."

"Thanks, I might just check it out. Ahh wait a second could you hold a message here for me? If someone by the name of Daisy Oak comes here can you ask her to meet me on the second level around 2pm?"

"Yes, no problem I will make a note of it here is your key. Your room is number 321 and will be rented for four hours. Have a good day!"

Lan then went to the third floor and went directly to bed.

A couple of hours later he had woken up to his alarm. He had many things to do today.

1) Meet up with Daisy

2)Stop by Mr. R's shop and trade the Pokemon for the gear

3) Look for cooking equipment so that he can make batches of his Pokefood since both of his Pokemon are gluttons

4)Explore the festival

He had many things to do and not that long to accomplish it. He took a quick shower and then put on a plain t-shirt and some jeans equipped his belt and he called it good.

He strolled down to the second floor to see it buzzing with people. He then found an empty seat and watched the people. Most of the trainers were in groups of two or three and had some of their pokemon out. There was a wide range of people and pokemon. There were some pokemon that Lan recognized were from different regions.

Lan smiled and mumbled "One day"

???: "One day what?"

Lan was startled but didn't show it on his face. He calmly looked above him to see Daisy looking down at him with a playful smile. "Ahh, nothing Daisy just some rumblings to myself."

"I leave for a while and now you are picking up Grandpa's habits. Man Lan you really are a wonder."

Lan opened his mouth to reply but couldn't make a comeback since he knew it was true. He did pick up different habits but he also realized he was just quiet when around others he didn't know all that well. While he was starting to show more personality he didn't know if it was a newfound confidence or just picking up different habbits. Either way, it happens.

"Well, not saying anything?"

Well no, Do you have anything you need to do the rest of the day?

Daisy thought for a moment then said " No not really I just got off the bus so I really want to stretch my legs for a while. I was thinking of looking around at the festival but I am in no hurry. Why whatcha got planned?"

"Nothing much just I needed to get some personal things then I was planning to take a look at the festival."

"So some shopping? Sure sounds like fun" she smirked

Lan looked at Daisy and just smiled. Soon after he met her he figured out that Daisy was a kind and propper whenever she was around someone she didn't know but when she was around Ash or Gary or him she liked to tease them a lot. He was used to this.

" Alright lets set off I will show you a nice shop that I found earlier"

Yeah just let me go get my Pokemon

You have pokemon? She turned wide-eyed at the statement

Some things happened and so now I do.

Hurry up and let's go I want to meet them. THEY BETTER be CUTE.

"Yeah, they are cute?? " Lan looked a little forced with the statement. While internally he was wondering if he actually considered his pokemon as cute.
