Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

In a fortnight, does this mean the Princess came here to say her goodbye?

"Tomorrow morning me and Rhys will leave."

"But isn't there still a day left?"

"We have to leave early, my sister will commit the crime tonight and announce the news in the evening. If we wait till then it would be harder to escape."

"But who is-"

"The best way to frame me and get results, she would have to target somebody important in the Kingdom. But it cannot be any random person, it has to be somebody who has the same amount of power as her now."

At those words her face colour turned pale. "Princess Lyn you mean Prince A-"

"Pupilliam." Lyn said sharply. "Please, stay put here tonight. Do not leave."

The Princess must have sent Lord amakaze here so she would have an ali bi if anybody asked. If the Princess and Rhys leave in the morning it would look like they are trying to escape from the crime. Staying however will not help, they will end up in jail either way.

'That stupid fool, so that is why he acted kindly the other day it was because of this.'

This is painful, she wants to rush over to the castle and stop the Prince. But if she does that it will destroy the Princess plans. She has already cast aside her feelings for Prince Andrew. Right now for her the most important person is the Princess. This is also a test of her loyalty.

"I will do as you say Princess."

It did not take long for the other two to return. Judging from the looks on their faces they must have discussed something serious. Ryuuko was passing the Princess a lot of stuff.

"Take three of these whenever you feel nauseous, make sure you've digested something solid first. Acidic fruits like fruits is a no. And if you ever become too pale, Rhys is the best medicine for that."

"Ah in other words I have to be all snuggly with Rhys?"

"Yeah, think of it that way." Ryuuko nodded.

"The hell Ryuuko, don't encourage her too much." 

"Huh, I thought you'd be all up for it."

Lyn innocently tilted her head. "Rhys, doesn't want me to touch him?"

 "No, no. No no no no no!" He uttered quickly. "Stupid, I want to. I would love to." .

 "En. Good."

"Lyn, what have you been doing to Rhys?"

Although she's well aware that Lyn's actions cause Rhys to be embarrassed at times. This is the first time she's seen him getting so worked up about it.

Lyn tilted her head innocently. The fact that she doesn't know what's wrong is scarier.

"I haven't been doing anything. But I suppose I've been showing him that I love him a lot, and I touch him more. "

That's clearly the issue here.

"Well, he doesn't have a lot of time here before he goes. So I suppose it's better if you continue that."

 "Don't talk about him leaving!"

Lyn covers her short bust with a light laugh, "If I'm going to be doing such things alone it wouldn't be right. Rhys should do the same."

'So even the Princess is uneasy. Once this whole thing is over sir Rhys will have to return to the Sound. No, as a Prince from the Rain Kingdom he will have to return there.' Taking down Queen Lethia will lead to taking down that King too. 

It seems the Princess does not plan on making sir Rhys her King- Pupilliam shook her head. She shouldn't over complicate things. 

"Rhys." Pupilliam called out. 

"Hm?"

"Please take care of the Princess."

At those words he reached over and flicked her forehead startling her. "Stupid of course I will. Just think of this as me kidnapping her before marriage and havinga little get away trip."

"Why do you have to make it sound so vulgar? You better not do anything weird to her in this time."

"What do you mean weird? We have done all types of weird things already."

Lyn suddenly laughed. "It is nice to see you two get along."

Huh getting along? Pupilliam sighed deeply. Well she doesn't want to argue with the Princess. Besides her gaze fell on the Princess who was smiling happily. It should be okay if sir Rhys is with her, even if they have to part for awhile. 

Her thoughts broke off when the Princess suddenly hugged her causing her eyes to widen.

"I will miss you."

"Its not I will miss you Princess, it's I will see you again soon."

But it will take a couple of months, they will be lucky if they solve this within the time frame sir Kazuya mentioned. However they have to try otherwise the Mist Kingdom no the other Kingdoms will also fall under Queen Lethia.

"Yes, I will see you again soon."

"Please stay healthy and also don't do it with him too much! Your body is still frail."

Lyn's cheeks coloured. "Wait what do you mean by-"

"Princess you can't hide it from me! I know and that is why I am advising you."

Rhys pulled Lyn away. "Look you just embarrassed her." 

"Isn't it your fault?"

After the Princess left alongside sir Rhys. Ryuuko turned to her. "You know what to do right?"

Pupilliam nodded. "I understand but what about you?"

"She gave me and Kori instructions to deal with Kujou Souma. That guy is part of Queen Lethia's fraction."

"Will they be fine? Even if they leave in the morning, and the incident won't be announced till later. The guards will still be on the look out."

"You don't have to worry. Rhys has special magic that disguises one's appearance. It's very useful, the guards won't recognize them at all."

'Special magic that disguises appearances-' Pupilliam recalled something that happened before Kazuya and Rhys came to the Mist Kingdom.

'I see so he has been silently watching over her this entire time.'

"Even though I just gave it to her, why did she leave it?" Ryuuko suddenly mumbled.

Pupilliam glanced over and saw the bag of medication on the ground.

She does understand Ryuuko mind set. The Princess must have done that deliberately, she understands exactly why he's worried. But she trusted the Princess enough not to do anything foolish. After all if she was going to do something like that then she would have done so a long time ago. It's a matter of trust huh?

"I'll get it to her. Can you tend to Kamikaze's injuries?

"Sure."

The Princess and Rhys shouldn't have gotten too far yet. 

It did not take long before she found them. But only because the two stopped to kiss. Pupilliam hid behind a tree.

'This isn't the first time I have seen this. But isn't something different now?'

Rhys is treating the Princess so gently.

When the two of them started dating; she openly wore it. After all, by then she learned that this bracelet was something that was for her originally. It came to her as a surprise especially considering how he gave it to her.

So the reason why he had been annoyed was, his girlfriend discovered the bracelet he was going to give her and bought him a similar one, so she could wear the one he meant to give to her.

'She wanted it to be couple bracelets and I got annoyed. The one I gave you is different than the one I threw on the ground. I realised it was a good opportunity to give you, I had the other one in my hand after all. '

After she heard that, she didn't know what to think. She felt too embarrassed to wear it openly. But from time to time, she would show him, because it seemed to please him.

Pupilliam remembers how whenever they made love, he would always without fail kiss her wrist where her bracelet was on. He would always --- kiss her with so much affection, so much love and care. For her it was a precious memory, something she looked forward too. 

Andrew has changed a lot in contrast to when they first met. No, perhaps she is finally starting to see the real him.

It is already okay this way.
